Two Paws Up

I wanted to thank Two Paws Up for their excellent service.
In early June I’d booked two nights at another boarding facility (name excluded, as I don’t want an unforeseeable event to reflect poorly on them) and they called me when I was twenty minutes away to say they couldn’t board my dog due to a sudden emergency. I was 7.5 hours into an 8 hour drive, and would be up the proverbial creek without a place to board him for two nights. They pointed me in the direction of nearby Two Paws Up who, despite it being a summer weekend, were flexible enough to accommodate my dog at the very last minute.
The only reason I hadn’t used Two Paws Up for my stay initially was due to their earlier check-​out time on Sunday (11am), and I was competing in an event that made it impossible to pick him up by then. Two Paws Up came through again, and the employee who was working on Sunday was generously willing to wait a little later than 11. My friend offered to pick him up so I didn’t have to be the annoying exception, but still — talk about some rock solid customer service.
A surprising number of people/​establishments raise their eyebrows at pits/​pit mixes like my own (despite my dog being very low-​energy and friendly), but Two Paws Up was completely welcoming to him and the employee there even mentioned how sweet he was while we were checking in. As a fairly recent rescue, he gets anxious in a kennel setting when I first leave him and I know he probably barked for a little bit (I’m bringing his Kong for him this upcoming trip to keep him busy), but if that was the case in this instance, Two Paws Up were understanding, and my friend who picked him up said that the staff member said he was good and everyone liked him. Everyone likes hearing nice things about their dog, and the fact that they didn’t treat him differently because of his breed was appreciated, and speaks to their dog-​savvy professionalism.
Basically, I’m confident my dog is being well cared for at Two Paws Up. I’ve already booked two more nights for my next stay, and they’ll be my go-​to dog boarding facility whenever I’m in that region.
