Established in 2011.

In 2011, Cyril Martinez discovered the perfect location in Taos to open her own pet grooming business, and Avalyn’s Paw Spa was established. Through patience, faith and perseverance Cyril has managed to build a successful business with a happy client base. Avalyn’s Paw Spa strives to create a «SPA» like environment for not just your pet but owner’s alike. Using only hypoallergenic and non-​toxic products and ensuring each paw baby’s needs are met. Over the years, Cyril has also created her own line of Organic Aroma Therapy for pets.

Cyril Martinez always knew she wanted to focus her career around animals. She worked with a vet for a number of years and started on-​the-​job training for pet grooming as well as Vet Tech. She learned about grooming and maintenance methods for various dog breeds as well as techniques for calming down dogs who are nervous about being bathed and groomed. She helps in educating owner’s on pet health care and training techniques.

Cyril believes in giving back to the community by working with various non-​profit organizations, such as Stray Hearts Animal Shelter, Pets for Vets, and providing free services for the elderly who are on limited incomes or who have disabilities.

For Cyril the best part of owning a pet grooming salon is having the opportunity to be around not only the” PAW BABIES” but their owner’s. «People who own pets are generally really good people.»
