History
Established in 1998.
Living Designs Group Architects assembled as a group of Architects and Engineers to design and build El Monte Sagrado Resort and Spa in Taos, New Mexico. Completed in 2003 El Monte was a landmark accomplishment of sustainable architecture, landscape, renewable systems, and alternative building methods. LDG Architects has since made significant contributions to the built environment of North Central New Mexico and Southern Colorado. LDG architects is sought nationwide for the clarity of their vision, and the ingenuity to integrate sustainable systems at any scale.
For over a decade, LDG has contributed to the economic and physical development its surrounding region by providing design services under public and private contracts at the local, regional, and national levels. The natural environment defines our experience and our livelihood, our practice of sustainable design transcends the physical to encompass the economic. We pride our ability to craft regionally appropriate design.

Business Owner
As president, Douglas has committed LDG to projects of a highest sustainable caliber. His talents in design, collaboration and management have accomplished some of the largest and greenest projects in Northern New Mexico. His skills as a public presenter and negotiator have guided some of the most visionary land use approvals and developments in the region.
Under his direction, LDG has fortified its commitment to quality sustainable design and has grown into a multifaceted firm. LDG carries a reputation as a design leader addressing the development needs of schools, commercial developments, public facilities, multifamily housing, and most recently, athletic campus planning and development.
