Shadow Mountain Recovery is a non-​profit addiction rehab for young men ages 18 – 24 in Taos, New Mexico. Our focus combines the principles and concepts of 12 step programs with adventure and recreational therapies. We are a 9 – 12 month residential treatment center set in a therapeutic sober living environment. The young men admitted to Shadow Mountain receive the latest in substance abuse treatment. We provide apartment style living and a campus filled with activities. Our location on 37 acres of pristine national forest delivers a wilderness treatment experience right on our campus in New Mexico.

Our program provides extensive therapeutic services for the entire family. Shadow Mountain’s commitment is not only to recovery from addiction, but the family work needed to repair the damage caused by addiction. History

Established in 2000.

Shadow Mountain Recovery was founded by Debb and Robb Holub after their experiences with their son Joey and his battle with substance abuse. The Holub’s learned a lot about the recovery process, relapse prevention, and the importance of drug and alcohol rehab. Shadow Mountain Recovery program is built upon a strong continuum of care to help young men in their transition to sober living.
