You know, I read all the reviews for this thrift shop and I know where they are coming from but I have to admit that in this particular instance, I think they are unfounded. As a thrift store, this is just a general shop. They have average prices, average merchandise and average organization. Nothing really special to speak of, we found a few things but nothing that made us jump up and down for joy. When we did go to check out, there were two older ladies behind the counter and one of them was absolutely delightful and I could tell from the start. The other woman, well she was very short towards me, and very to the point. So I decided to pay her a compliment and she smiled and her demeanor changed completely. So perhaps take the complaints with a grain of salt.

Never have I encountered such a den of bitter old biddies. Rude disinterested, they seem as if they are fullfilling community service requirements rsther thsn volunterring.

i endured poor treatment as well. Very rude staff. Unbelievable. I know the cause is worthy, but whomever is filling these positions in the thrift store needs to reevaluate. Such demeaning attitudes, unwillingness to assist, and just generally unfriendly. Will never return to that store.

I went in and bought 5 puctures. I spent almost $ 200. I tried to use to coupons from Val PAC. The volunteer had to get manager’s approval. The manager came to the front of the store ranting and raving how I’m trying it make hospice go broke, how I’m stealing from hospice. I was so embarrassed. I couldn’t believe how she was carrying on, not to my face but loud enough for the whole store to hear. The coupon did NOT say one per customer or one per day. All the manager had to do is politely say, we cannot accept more than one coupon. I do enjoy shopping there because the money does go to a good cause, but no one deserves to be treated the way I was treated
