Hertz Rent A Car

Rented a car for noon and it wasn’t there until 1215. Was told the car had ⁷⁄₈ tank when it was closer to ¾. Brought it back exactly where the gas gauge was when I rented and was told there was a problem with that, because now ¾ is really ¾ and not ⁷⁄₈. Did I mention they were late getting the car to me, and ha, not their problem? I Have rented many cars here over the years, but never again. They’ve lost s long time customer over $ 2 in gas. Nice going, Hertz.

I have been a loyal customer here for years, renting cars about a dozen times. I have always accepted the slow service because they have good rates, but today is my last straw. Every single time I go in there is a policy change. Last time it was since I waved their insurance, I was required to provide my insurance policy number which required me to call the person back who had dropped me off to get it from one of our cars. Today… THEY NO LONGER ACCEPT DEBIT CARDS. Are you actually kidding me… Today I had to drop off my car to the repair shop and walk to pick up my car from the Double Tree. Upon arriving I was informed that as of September 1 they no longer accept debit cards. I was there last time in AUGUST and there was nothing there about this. So now I am stuck, with no car for the next 5 hours until someone with a credit card can take the car out in their name, which will cost me an additional $ 3 a day to add me as a driver. I have had enough. Awful service and constant policies changes with NO WARNING is unacceptable. I will be going elsewhere from now on.
