Sebastian’s Barber Shop

Fiancé tried a new barbershop because he kept postponing getting his hair cut before our vacation/​wedding… and basically ended up with what looked like a zillion cowlicks on his face. It was literally the worst haircut he’s ever had, and we had to get another haircut two days later… I think that about explains it. Whoever picked up the phone when he tried to make the appointment was also rude to him.

Probably my first time in a «real» barber shop.
The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. Prices are very reasonable.

Showed up close to closing. Owner was surly towards me and gave me a bad haircut. Was a very unpleasant experience.

The place looks nice clean and vintage. I just show him a picture and my barber knows what he doing. He brought me a nice modern haircut within 30 mins and wasn’t cost me too much. This is a barbershop that I have been looking for around my area. Love to come back again.

Sebastian’s barber shop is the barber shop to get a hair cut in westchester. If your looking for great young trendy hair styles, this is the place for you. They are very knowledgeable about mens hair and have a great laid back attitude. The vibe they have in the shop is refreshing to the area and all of the barbers are great at their craft. Can’t wait to get my next cut !

I went here for the first time because of the rave reviews that I had seen here. I was definitely not disappointed. Sebastian was fantastic and was able to give me good advice, considering I was going for a modified undercut. Great atmosphere, and a great cut. Will definitely be coming back.

My husband has been going here for a few years and he races about it. So we brought my son, who is 15 months old, to get his first haircut. They were so friendly and professional! I cannot thank them enough for putting up with my son when he started to cry. He did such a great job; his hair looks fantastic!

Went last year while visiting Tarrytown and stopped in again today for a haircut and beard trim. All the guys were super friendly and easy going yet professional. I enjoyed my experience from the time I walked in the door until I left. Its the kind of place that you hope they do well so you can keep coming back!

Overall, a great hair cut. Well decorated, clean shop with a TV for the patrons. Good jazz music on in the background. While Sebastian, my Barber and I didn’t talk much (which is perfectly fine for me, I’m not much of a talker during my hair cuts) he was terrific. Very personable at the end of the visit. Well worth the 19 dollars. I’ll certainly come here again.

Seriously overrated barbershop. I asked for a very light trim with natural in the back (no line), got a short cut with a line in the back, exactly the opposite of what I asked for. Also, one of the other barbers was going on and on about how Italian delis are the only real delis, and no one should ever go to a bodega. Not sure if the guy is racist, but sure seemed like it. My barber was Corey, nice guy, but like I said doesn’t follow instructions.

My search is finally over for a barber in Westchester that understands modern trends and styles without charging a ridiculous price for a haircut. Sebastian and Cory were very friendly and personable while still keeping it professional. Cory cut my hair and trimmed my beard. I was very pleased with the job he did. I can tell these gentlemen know what they are doing, and they have great communication skills. Two crucial keys to a satisfied customers, but rare to find in a barbershop. It was well worth the 20 minute drive!

I’ve been to Sebastian’s a handful of times, and up until the last time I went, I walked out with a cut I really liked. However, my last experience there really ruined it for me. It was clear the guy who cut my hair was new, and if he wasn’t, that’s far worse. I have a bunch of cowlicks, and while I understand they can be tricky to deal with, I expect a good barber to know how to handle them. This kid completely cut one off, and I still feel like I have a bald spot there,… 6 months later. The only reason I didn’t say something at the time was because he didn’t hold up a mirror for me to see the back. Probably because he realized how badly he’d messed up my hair. After I left, I was mortified.
For that reason and because I’ve since been to a shop I like better, I probably won’t go back. But I suppose I’d still recommend this place to a friend, as long as they make sure Sebastian or Corey is who is cutting their hair.

By far the best shop around. Great crew that give awsome cuts. Shop is super clean and great décor. I highly recomend
going and seeing for your self. i travel from Rockland county to get my hair cut there.

Was going to another barbershop in town when I saw this place on Unilocal.The reviews were pretty solid so I checked it out. I’ve gone three times and had my haircut by three different barbers. All three did a good job, were quick and friendly. It’s in a nice location right off Main St and the price is solid. They would have a customer for a long time but unfortunately for them I am moving out of the area. Good luck guys!

Been here three times, all three times my hair was cut (I’m pretty sure) by sebastian. He’s done a great job each time. I’ve lived in sleepy hollow for close to 3 years and have tried a few hair places in the area but I definitely found the one I’m sticking with. Just don’t forget they don’t take credit cards or appointments so it’s better to go on a weekday if possible because on weekends the wait can be 30 – 40 minutes.

Sebastian’s Barber Shop is one of the better looking shops around, a great job in restoring an old shop. Unfortunately, that’s where the good ends.
Sebastian and his fellow barbers are well groomed — a good sign at a barber. The problem is they never stop primming and fussing over themselves in the mirrors that they love to stare at (fussing worse than women!), while they’re cutting your hair!
The swagger and narcissism are out of check at this place! Save yourself a trip and try somewhere else, …these guys are too busy with themselves to really cut your hair.
