A good friend of mine recommended me Dr. Silberstein since my friend’s friend had seen Dr. Silberstein before & loved her. Now, I know why. Dr. Silberstein is simply fantastic! Tiny office, but parking is abundant. Perfect location (next to several pastry shops & grocery stores). Note to self, don’t go crazy on the pastries & other baked goodies whenever going in for my yearly exam.

Dr. Silberstein is a wonderful, caring, bright and a very professional doctor! Her intentions are always to do right by the patient and for the patient. She goes above and beyond what most doctors would ever do, which makes her a true gem. Her approach can be a bit blunt at times, but remember its all well intended and for your own good. I can’t say enough good things about her. As for the negative comments I have read about the office staff, I find it hard to believe, as they have always only been the most helpful, professional and delightful group of women.

I saw Dr. Silberstein in 2014 (based on a friend’s recommendation) for a new prescription and mentioned some of the pain I’ve been experiencing for years. I probably downplayed it at the time, which was my fault, but I left not feeling that great about my visit or the office. Over the following year, my pain worsened immensely and I ended up seeing another doctor at the hospital where my stepmom works to get another opinion. I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis and immediately contacted a specialist (which are far and few between) to set up a surgery date. He recommended that I take birth control continuously to help my symptoms leading up to the surgery, so I came back to Dr. Silberstein for that purpose as she was local and had seen me previously (the surgeon could not provide a prescription until they saw me in person, but I live about 8 hours away). During this second and short visit, I told her about the developments in my health since I had last seen her, and she was immediately offended that I had not sought treatment solely through her. She accused me of «double-​dipping» by seeing multiple doctors, which is shocking to me coming from a doctor, as it seems that getting multiple opinions is generally encouraged. She explained that she doesn’t feel comfortable participating in my treatment not knowing where the other doctor was coming from, which is sort of reasonable, but her behavior and tone towards me were extremely condescending and rude. I felt like my health and well-​being were being treated as secondary to whatever her needs were. She basically said that she didn’t agree with surgery for the condition in general, but mentioned that she did surgery for that condition herself and I should have come to her. I tried to explain that the specialist I was seeing uses a more effective method and that I felt it was right for me, but I think she was offended and my appointment ended quickly afterwards. She ended up giving me the prescription and telling me not to come back until I finished with the other doctor. Ultimately, Dr. Silberstein made me feel like my health was not the number one priority and I believe that her approach to the whole situation was unethical and self-​serving. I’m sure that if you are visiting this office for regular check-​ups or uncomplicated situations that your experience would be just fine, but I felt that people should hear about my disappointing and disheartening experience.

While we never had the opportunity to meet the doctor, the office staff provided one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. As a new patient referred by Blue Cross/​Blue Shield, I was put on hold seven times spanning 34 minutes and was treated rudely by two of the staff that answered the phone. I would suggest avoiding this office until they either train their staff to be professional or hire new help.
Given this doctor’s excellent reputation, it surprises me that she would have such incompetent, unprofessional people in her employ.

Thrilled with my experience in this office. Just went for a new patient visit this morning. From the time I called to originally make the appointment to my whole appointment experience from start to finish, everyone in the office was SO friendly and helpful. I’ve been looking for a decent OB-​GYN for awhile now, having lived in LA for 3+ years, and I am so thankful I finally found one who is far beyond my «decent» search. Dr. Silberstein was so sweet, nice, efficient, and quick. Definitely turned me into an existing patient for years to come — many thanks to the entire staff for making my experience so pleasant and for completely exceeding my expectations.

Very pleased with the office. Kudos to Yadira, who spent a great deal of time and effort helping me get authorization from my insurance for a medication not typically covered under my policy. She kept me informed of the progress she was having, calling daily to update me (it took a couple of days). I have been a patient of Dr. Silberstein’s for 3 years now — she has always been quite approachable, answering any questions I may have.

If you want a great obgyn Dr. Silberstein is the dr. To go to. She is great. The staff is always there to help with whatever is needed from making Appts to helping with insurance. The dr. Is full of knowledge and can answer any personal questions you might have. The exams are complete and done on time. I would recommend dr. Silberstein highly. I drive in from Hollywood to see her.

This review is more about my experience than the physician, due to not ever actually meeting her. I had a 2:15 PAP appointment as a new patient. I arrived at 2:05 and filled out forms. I waited until 2:30 to mention that I had yet to been called into the doctors office. 15 more minutes lapse as I wait in the waiting room. Finally, they call me in to take my weight, height, and urine sample… And yet I wait outside the physicians office for a consult… And wait… and wait… 3:05 I get up and walk to the front of the office to leave. «Oh, she hasn’t seen you yet,» asks the office assistant. «Nope,» I reply controlling my anger. «I left work early to be here because you said the only time you book new patients is at 2:15. I have waited over 45 minutes to be seen. I have to leave. Is there something I need to fill out,» I said. She replied with a stammering «ummm, no». As I take off out the doors she yells after me, «Wait, don’t you want to reschedule?» Ummmmmm, not likely!

I would give her 50 stars if I could.
She is absolutely the best Dr. I have been to. I have anxiety when it comes to medical problems, as do many other people. I was referred to her by the Dr. I am a nanny for, and she absolutely loves her as well!
After reading horror stories on Unilocal of other gynecologists, I am so pleased to have found her.
Dr. Silberstein is genuinely caring, gentle, completely non-​judge mental and extremely smart and helpful. She was calm and understanding about my slight anxiety and it turned out everything was fine with me! :) I will definitely be going to her forever.

Incredibly rude staff. No smiles, absolutely unfriendly. Overheard their comments after taking calls, making fun of some patient’s ignorance with how insurance works – that was the closest to a smile I witnessed, yeah laughing at others. Fine, everyone has a bad day, especially when you work with customers/​patients all day. I sat down and soon after was told I had no appointment. Apparently lost my appointment and tried to brush me off without even an apology. I had this planned, and to add insult to injury they insisted the mistake was mine. I know what I was told over the phone, as I had to request time from work and plan with my coverage. Oh and they don’t validate parking, either. $ 5 on top of what copay you have. Doctor was okay, staff horrible. Not worth the experience. Plenty of nice providers and staff out there. Go elsewhere unless you enjoy surly looks and absolutely zero customer service.

I was referred to Dr. Silberstein by a friend after a not-​so-​good experience with my last O.B. and I am SO glad I took her advice.
I felt like Dr. Silberstein really listened to me and genuinely cared about what I had to say. She is gentle and kind and really knows her stuff… really important for this kind of doctor. I am so glad I found her!

First off I’d like to say that my one star review is NOT for Dr. Silberstein but her office staff. I was hoping to become a patient of Dr. Silberstein but when I called to set up an appointment I spoke to the most RUDE woman in the entire world!
I called saying I was a new patient and I was currently on ortho-​tri-​cyclene lo birth control. My previous doctor gave me samples of it because my health insurance does not cover it and it is the only one I can be on without negative side effects. I simply called asking if they would do the same type of thing as my previous doctor if I became a patient there. She responded with «YOUR CONFUSING ME, WE WONT GIVE YOU ANYTHING, YOUR NOT A PATIENT.» Calmly I responded with I’d like to be a patient of the doctor’s and I’m just asking for when I am. Again she responded very aggressively that they don’t give anything if your not a patient. She wasn’t even listening to me. I finally said I want to book an appointment as I figured I would have to speak to someone who could wrap their head around a simple question. She responded with «Well were not seeing anyone new till December». It’s early October…
Needless to say I have never dealt with anyone so rude in my life. I don’t care how great of a Doctor Dr. Silberstein is, if her staff is this rude I can’t imagine going in to this office. My advice, hire staff who are friendly who are willing to be helpful.

I found Dr. Silberstein through reviews here and they have not steered me wrong. She was so kind and lovely and attentive. She addressed all my concerns in a patient manner and was just so friendly to talk to.
I almost didn’t post a review because I wanted to keep her to myself, but that’s just mean, so I’m sharing the love. She’s a great OBGYN, I’m looking forward to delivering with her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Silberstein’s for several years. She was also my surgeon in 2011 when I had a procedure done by her. Dr. Silberstein is an amazing, knowledgeable, and compassionate doctor who treats me like a person — not just a chart! I have actually switched insurance in the few years while I have been under her care and have always made sure her office takes the insurance, because I would be very sad to lose her as a doctor.
Her staff is friendly and the office is well-​run. Jill, her front office person, is very efficient and nice. The doctor is so efficient as well — getting an annual exam by her is the quickest, least uncomfortable procedure. I have referred family and friends to her, and will refer any person I know to her as well.
Dr. Taaly Silberstein is a gem in her field, and a great person as well. I highly recommend her!

I can not recommend Dr. Silberstein enough! And I do! I send all my friends and clients to her. She is compassionate, kind, not judgemental, professional, caring and knowledgable! Without going into detail, I had a condition in my twenties that only she was able to fix. Not the other 4 Dr.‘s I went to. Since then, I have trusted her whole heartedly. If I was to ever have children or not, she will always be my obgyn. She is the ONLY valley Dr. I have not replaced upon moving. Thank you, Dr. Silberstein! I will never forget the peace of mind you have given me! I am forever grateful!

Dr. Silberstein was an amazing doctor; she was very helpful and informative. She returned calls at all hours of the day and never made you feel uncomfortable about waking her up. She was always in a pleasant mood.
She treats everyone with respect. My wife took a test that was initially declined by our insurance. As soon as I brought this to the attention of Dr. Silberstein she immediately appealed it for us which ultimately led to our insurance covering the bill. Thank you

My wife just delivered our baby two days ago and man was Dr. Silberstein great!!!
For most of my wife’s pregnancy we where with another doctor in Tarzana — she was a great medical doctor but basically it was her way or the highway. My wife and I did hypnobirthing, and our instructor suggested we change to Dr. Silberstein. We are SOO glad we did!

Fine with medical procedures and labor augmentation but also fine with those who want completely natural delivery (like us)
Has 4 children so she knows how labor goes

Anyway, my wife walked in to Dr. Silberstein’s office fully dilated, as she thought she was just having SEVERE back pain and spasms — turned out it was labor. Dr. Silberstein promptly notified the hospital, and personally escorted my wife and I across the street and into the hospital delivery room. She stayed with my wife the entire time from that point until our daughter was born. She allowed me to do my best coaching, but also helped with a lot of the coaching herself! I think my wife hearing things from a woman with experience and a medical degree helped her a lot. Perhaps this is why it took just over an hour and a half to deliver the baby!
We really appreciate the fact that Dr. Silberstein did not at all insist on an IV or episiotomy!!! Instead, she allowed me to give my wife water and juice between pushes to stay hydrated and constantly massaged my wife’s perineum in between pushes rather than going for the episiotomy.
Dr. Silberstein even assisted my wife in grabbing the baby as she was finishing her way out of the birth canal. This way my wife could essentially «deliver» the baby the officially.
