I can’t say enough good things about the Taunton Cat Hospital.
As a disclaimer– I am very picky about my veterinarian. I work in the animal care industry, and I am currently in vet tech school, so I have high standards. My cats have been to more than one vet (one vet misdiagnosed my senior cat), and Taunton Cat Hospital is far and away the best.
Dr. Horvath, Dr. Lovelace and the rest of the staff clearly care about the animals they are treating. They have been nothing but kind and caring to my cats (I have three), and always give good advice. They are also not the type of vet to overcharge you or try and make you over vaccinate your pet. They explain the pros and cons of everything, always go over all costs, and make everything reasonable for their clients.
I have a senior cat, and recently we removed a tumor from her neck. Making the decision to remove the tumor (it was benign but affecting her over all health) was a year long process of trying everything possible before resorting to surgery. I don’t think many vets would have worked with me so well. And when it did come down to surgery as the only option, they took such great care of her. Her health has vastly improved since.
I live 30 minutes away and take my dog to a local vet, but I would never take my cats anywhere else. Taunton Hospital is by far the best veterinarian I have ever been to.

I’ve been bringing my cats here for 15+ years. I recommend them to everyone and everyone that has gone there are very pleased and are still clients. I drive a half hour with a yowling cat when there are vets less than a mile from my house because they are that good. They have correctly diagnosed issues with two family member’s cats after they have been misdiagnosed by other vets. They are thorough, friendly and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Horvath and her staff.
