Atlas Mechanical

BEWARE!!! This guy has cost us almost $ 5000 and a month in lost time! He doesn’t return calls, lies about the work he has and hasn’t done. He is NOT bonded! I could supply an entire page of documentation of the nightmare we have been through with this guy if you want to see it. There are even items missing from the house that I can not prove he is responsible for taking but there is no other explanation to turn to. There is even substantiation available from suppliers about this guy. We are filling everything we can against him to try and keep anyone else from going through what we have with him.
There is no telling who wrote these previous glowing reports but they could not possibly be true customers or the same business. Strangely enough though the guy’s name is Daniel. RUN! Don’t even consider using this guy!!!

Daniel came out and fixed our plumbing issue very quickly, and very inexpensively.
knows his craft. highly recommend his services. I will call on him anytime i need repairs.

My father was referred to Atlas Mechanical by the RedBeacon service owned by Home Depot. I work for Home Depot and when he asked my advice on having a new water heater installed, I told him either going through Home Depot or using RedBeacon (which is akin to Angie’s List) was the way to go.
He selected to use RedBeacon and received a message from the owner of Atlas Mechanical, Dan Laprade. My father is looking to sell his house in the next year or so and paid Atlas Mechanical over a thousand dollars to get it done right and up to code for the city of Pflugerville. Dan Laprade showed up and did the work in a timely manner, all the while chatting about being a huge christian and how great his customer service is — but after being paid in cash, rather than through the RedBeacon website which is what he’s supposed to do after the job was complete, left without hooking up the drip pan. My father tried to contact him for a couple of weeks and was promised on three separate occasions by Dan Laprade that he would come back and finish the job.
When he didn’t, my father contacted me to ask what to do. I gave him the escalation number for RedBeacon and while they’re sorting it out and finally got someone to come complete the job, I want to strongly warn anyone who hires Atlas Mechanical not to pay them until the job is satisfactorily and fully completed.
