Meet the Business Owner

Lori H.

Business Owner

After a long, 30-year career in the financial services industry, Lori, like many retirees, had «absolutely no idea as what to do.» It was 2007 and she began working part-time in knitting stores in her area.

«If I wasn’t working, I found myself still going to a yarn store to sit and knit or going to a knitting group in the evening to knit,» she says. «The Wednesday night group I knitted with encouraged me to open a store in Teaneck, stating that the area really missed the store that was here.»

Lori followed through with the recommendation and now knitters and crocheters have a convenient location to pair-up with their favorite yarns right in the heart of Teaneck next to the recently renovated Teaneck Cinemas. With the support of her husband and several close friends, an empty storefront became a destination for the creative circles that call knitting and crocheting their favorite pastime.
