Downtown Yogurt Junction

I brought my kids to this place after the Christmas parade hoping for a wonderful experience. That’s not what we got, this has to be one of the most unfriendly and unwelcoming businesses in town. It’s businesses like this that make me drive to Lancaster or Bakersfield, I certainly won’t ever come back.

This place only has 6 flavors 2 did not work when we went there Sunday. Almost no inside seating. The rules where ridiculous. They seem to not want children in there. Will not be going there again waste of money.

I was very disappointed when I went in today. The yogurt was okay nothing spectacular but the atmosphere was horrible. The lady was rude and seems quite bitter not to mention she gave this place more rules than a classroom. If you want to get froyo and feel restricted feel free to go. I have never been to a yogurt place that only allows you to test 1 flavor, a 20minute seating rule, or who would deny giving an extra spoon for a toddler sharing with her mother. She blamed it on children going in and testing yogurt and walking out. We were three adults with a baby who obviously wanted frozen yogurt.

Ew. Do not suggest going here at all. I got vanilla and chocolate and they were kinda already melted. The taste was okay but I want frozen yogurt, not semi frozen and sorta melting yogurt. Toppings were okay and are the typical you find in most yogurt shops. The price was pretty high too for what you get. I hate to push chain brands but you get more for your money at 31 flavors…

I frequent Tehachapi for work and absolutely love this yogurt shop. I have never had a bad experience with being treated poorly in fact the employees often try to get to know me and now when I stop in I feel like family. I always stop when I am in town to this local gem (as I like to call it) and highly recommend it to anyone!

I am very surprised to see how many people have had bad service here. I enjoy coming here often. This is the only yogurt place in Tehachapi and I’ve always had kind service. They usually change their flavors so it’s nice to try something different and they have all the toppings you could think of. Lots of seating inside and outdoors and conveniently located next to the movie theatre and clothing stores. I recommend it based off of my experience.

My family enjoy’s the yogurt at this shop very much. However, we have stopped frequenting this shop as well as the adjoining flower shop because of how rudely we were treated. As much as we enjoy the yogurt, I cannot spend my money at place where the owner treats paying customers as if they are an inconvenience. It’s too bad, really, as there have been times when I’d really love a cup of yogurt but I will not go back. I’ve love to see something from the owner saying that she is aware there is a problem that they are working on it.
The two stars I gave are because the yogurt is good and the place is quite clean.

I have not gone back because of how rude the staff was to me. I purchased 2 cups of yogurt which totaled over $ 10 which was fine as I love my frozen yogurt. The lady working the counter couldnt even get me a napkin when I asked if she had a towel, both hands full and yogurt was basically dripping down my arm. She just pointed across the room and told me napkins were on the table. To top it off I was the only customer in the place and when I walked in she was sitting at a table reading a book, so that tells me she was unhappy to be there. Wish they had friendlier staff because I love the watermelon sorbet :(

Will never walk foot in this place again. Extremely rude to families. Very obvious they do not like children. The place is clean and yogurt is decent, but not worth it.

Incredibly rude staff! Each time my family or myself goes they have a new story of how unfriendly they were.
One time I was very rudely told to not let my son sit on a chair by himself because he might fall. I think I know what kind of chair my own child is capable of sitting on.
At another time I was told I could not taste a second flavor because I had already received one sample. The person I was with then asked to sample as she intended on giving it to me and hadn’t had her sample yet, but she was denied a sample becuase of the intent!
Eating yogurt here leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth!
To be fair we only come when visiting family in the area as we are from WA but when spmeone comes so rarely and can have a bad story eachtime, something is definately wrong!

Really good frozen yogurt and the prices are good

What a fun and charming little yogurt shop. The yogurt was great and the topping selections were many and varied, including fruit. The owner was very friendly, even taking time to show her puppy to my girls. We will be back! Hope you enjoy this place?

This place is really good haha. It’s really popular with the towns school kids, as is primos. It’s clean, quiet, and the yogurts really good:)

This is a yogurt place obviously 3 ½ stars, I’ve been on a healthy type deal lately and yogurt seems to be a better option for the calories, and other stuff. They switch out the flavors I think maybe bi-​weekly, there are six to choose from the standard chocolate and vanilla (lame) two usually heavier type flavors like cookie dough, doughnut, and two fruity/​tart flavors.
They like most other Yogurt shop have a pretty decent arsenal of toppings to turn that healthy yogurt not so healthy in no time.
Things I like:
*One size cups: you pay by the ounce (40 cents I believe) which not only helps me keep the calories down, but helps a Salty McCheaperson like me save the bucks.
*It’s really clean in here
Things that I don’t dis-​like but are kind of meh:
*I’d like there to be a bit more flavors to choose from
In Conclusion:
You know what to expect, there are no surprises here and it’s a good thing, this wheel rolls just fine.
