Outlets At Tejon

Worst designed roads leading in all directions. You have miles of flat dirt to build on and you have confusing roads all over the place.

Worth a stop. Definitely pick up coupons from the visitor center before you start shopping!

Small little outlet. Just stopped here in the way home from Disneyland to get my girls some nike slides. Had to go to 3 different stores but eventually found the slides they wanted. Food court had a wingstop, wasn’t expecting that one. Nice outlets tho

I had the worst experience here. As someone who is not from the area I was unbeleivably excited to see an h&m outlet mall. I pulled over and ran inside feeling like a kid in a candy store. Unfortunayely the cashier rung me up twice for a belt. Thats not what bothered me though. The manager Tiffany was so unprofessional when I approached her for a refund on one of the belts. I said «excuse me i got charged twice for a belt»
«Im going to need you to get back in line please step back» she said.
«Im not going to get back in line for beinf charged twice.» I said.
She offered me no appology and told me to step back again bc i was «too close» to the counter.
From someone who has worked in retail for years I KNOW that is not how you treat customers.
I asked her name and she said in tiffany the manager. She then rolls her eyes at me and turns to her coworkers to talk smack. How can you put someone like this in charge of your store?! Very tacky service. She ruined the experience for me. NEVER GOING BACK.

So far the cheapest outlet store I visited. They have a wide selections from purses to shoes to kitchen. They have a foodcourt. Food is kinda spends for fast food but it served it purpose. I will be back!

We stopped here recently on our way to Northern California. I’m a huge fan of outlet malls and found a good selection of stores here!
My son needed some comfortable shoes so we stopped by Skechers for the memory foam shoes he likes so much. The next stop, Nike, had some great items for my husband and myself.
If you can handle the heat (it was 109 degrees on the day we were here), there are some nice stores with plenty benches and some cute fountains. The mall also looks fairly new and really clean.
Although I didn’t realize that there was a Coach Outlet Store and a White House Black Market when we were here, I will definitely have to come back when I have more time to shop!

Here for he first time after a long weekend in LA. Great rest stop and lots of interesting things to look at but not necessarily to buy. Prices are cheaper at other stores.

It’s a nice outlet with a lot of stores to choose from but not all the stores have outlet worth pricing the prices may be slightly lower than the regular mall stores but not by much! It’s not too busy here either so not fighting through crowds. There is plenty of seating to rest and a food court to refuel! Parking is good also!

Really great outlet however it is locate next to nothing. My favorites were the Coach and Michael Kors stores. They had over all great deals with addition discounts. I wish it was closer.

My wife likes shopping at outlet centers. She always finds better bargains at outlets as compared to shopping malls. Very convenient that the Outlets at Tejon are only 30 minutes away. Fortunately for our pocketbook, we’ve only been here twice since it opened. We’ve only been to a few stores here plus the food court. By far, the Columbia outlet is our favorite store here because of the great deals.
It has other positives. Plenty of parking. No crowds of people. Very clean facilities. Nice music playing. Mostly Kern County restaurants featured in the food court. Will probably return to the Outlets at Tejon a few times a year.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs if you’re travelling on the 5 fwy. The stores are not too spread out like other outlet malls. It’s your usual brand lineup: Gap, Sketchers, Tilly’s, etc. There is abundant parking so you don’t have to hike to get to your car. The only thing that was a little frustrating was the lack of signs leading you into and out of the complex. You almost have to use your instinct to navigate. I thought that was pretty odd.
The typical discounts were buy one, get the second item for 50% off. Some stores just had a flat out discount on everything. I think we will be stopping here every time we travel.

Nice pitstop up or down Hwy 5. Excellent clean bathrooms. Store selection is good. Has the only Pottery Barn Outlet I’m aware of. Make sure you pick up a coupon book for extra savings. It’s easy and free. Just need to provide your zip code.

Worst outlets. They have a decent selection of shops, but their staff is horrible. We went into Pottery Barn and it was very tight with space. Then, we were rudely spoken to by an older lady who worked there. She didn’t even make eye contact with us when she made her rude comment. We just walked out of there.
We went into Sketchers, found a few shoes to purchase, and waited 15+ minutes for the staff to return from the back. We could have walked out of there with their merchandise, and they wouldn’t even know. Odd thing is, the staff (a male and a female) saw us walk in, but still went to the back and disappeared for a good 30 minutes.
Horrible horrible horrible.
I’ve never experienced anything like this at Citadel Outlets, which isn’t too far away. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 1.5−2 hours to outlets where you’ll actually be treated like a consumer.

Stopped by these outlets twice in the past week. The first time we could not find anything that appeased us, so it felt like it was a bust. The clean restrooms actually brought us back for the second round a few days later while passing through Tejon Valley again. This time when we stopped by we found some good sales at the Puma store and Coach store. Like someone else mentioned in previous posts, the Michael Kors girls are a bit pushy in terms of sales, so don’t feel obligated when shopping there. This outlet could use a bit more roof coverage between the stores since it was raining both times we were there and the smooth pavement can be a slip hazard. Overall, decent outlet experience and a good place to stop for a restroom break.

I can see why I’ve not come to this place — the lack of shops. Yes, the Outlet are still young and growing but after a year, you would think that more stores would have set up shop but they haven’t. This shopping location is more «mall-​ish» than outlets.
I guess the only redeeming quality of these outlets is that the employees at the different stores and the outlet employees are courteous and friendly. The stores and the overall appearance of the outdoor mall are quite impressive. The level of cleanliness is quite impressive… with so many visitors, there should be a lot of tagging or littered with trash — who would have thought?
By far, these outlets have been a disappointment. The only store that was worth going to was Dewars. You can’t go wrong there… while shopping or waiting for your party, you can enjoy some nice Dewar’s ice cream or some of their chews or you can mosey on over to the food court area, eat something and rest for a bit. During this visit, I stopped off at Tony’s Pizza. Thinking that the pizza would be at a high calibre as those of the local pizza chain, I ordered. Boy was I disappointed. The pizza had no flavor, however it looked great… which pretty is a great metaphor for my experience at these outlets. Looks great but lacking in sales and stores worth shopping at.

I guess I’m not a really big fan of outlets. I get so excited to go to them, but then get so disappointed for wasting my time. Maybe it’s me, but I don’t like outlets! This outlet is no different. Not very impressive. I feel like most of the clothing found in these stores are items that no one likes, so they carry them. I may be wrong, but the clothing I’ve seen, I’d never wear.
I will say they have great places to eat, but I also noticed they’ve raised their prices for the outlets. That’s too bad.
The buildings and the surrounding areas are very nice. It’s a great looking facility, so I’m impressed about that. The parking is great. I feel safe because it’s well lit and there are security guards, but I won’t be a regular.

Always skeptical of the «real value» of outlet malls. Seems like some of these companies just sell stuff that nobody else wanted at hardly dismounted prices. In fact, some places like Old Navy produce «outlet only» lines of new clothing. Manufactured cheaper with poor quality.
Tejon outlets is nice and new but it’s mostly an outside mall. It was cold and windy the day I was there (late November). I would imagine that it would be pretty hot during the summer. The only covered portion of the mall is the food court. Bathrooms are large and clean.
They do have a pottery barn outlet.
The H&M actually has a rack of really discounted clothing.

Nice and clean. Employees at all places very nice. Michael Kors girl won’t listen, but at the end she figured me out. My favorite stores are the Michael Kors store, Pottery Barn, H&M, Converse, Nike, and Adidas.
I like to shop. I’ll shop anywhere, but for a regular person to just go check it out there are stores that we just don’t have at the Valley Plaza in Bakersfield. They don’t have much advertising.
I give it 5 stars.

These outlets are «A-​OKAY» compared to other outlets like let’s say «Cabazon» or «Camarillo» it feels sub-​par in the lack of higher quality known brand name retailers.
The one big retailer that seemed unique to this outlet ‘tho was a «Pottery Barn» and an «H&M» outlet which you don’t see at every factory outlet.
If this opened up a year or so ago and is looking to expand there’s great promise in the future on the horizon.
Right now I’d say it’s comparable to the outlets at «Barstow» and a notch below «Citadel», «Ontario Mills» and «Las Vegas» outlets in terms of store selection, both quantity and quality.
It’s located right before the grapevine (if coming from Nor Cal to So Cal) or right after the grapevine (if coming from So Cal to Nor Cal). That makes this a good resting /​breaking point, so geographically it’s in an ideal location.

Really nice mix of shops and outlet stores (note: Not all of them are outlet stores) so don’t expect great deals from all of the stores.
The area in general is still a work in progress. A Carl’s Jr, Starbucks and a Pieology Pizza just opened near the entrance. It adds more options which is nice because the centers food court only has about 5 options. I don’t know if they will be adding new stores in future but the place is spotless for an outdoor mall. They have plenty of benches with umbrellas, large sections are covered and equipped with large fans to beat the heat as it does get rather hot. Certainly wouldn’t hurt adding more stores considering they don’t have nearly as many stores as the outlet mall in Gilroy for example.
Only thing I don’t really like about this place is the poor cell reception. A few months back i stopped by and noticed verizon had some kind of mobile antenna out in parking lot which don’t do me any good since I’m tied to Att. They do have Wifi which is okay for the time you’re there.
For the people traveling by its a great place to stop at, stretch your legs and get that blood flowing again before heading up grapevine or coming down from it.
