Wonderful service with knowledgeable staff… my favorite red is a blend called the «M&M» (Merlot & Malbec)

Baily used to be my Temecula favorite, but not anymore. The tasting room staff lacks spunk and personality. They are more obsessed with collecting their wine tasting fee even when there are no other customers in the place. Two of the people I was there with were wine club members. Let’s just say, they might as well have been homeless people. When we left after purchasing three cases of wine, we were told to bring our cart back to the tasting room. We proceeded to leave it in the parking lot. Heaven forbid they have to actually work and actually roll the cart to our car. Epic fail Baily Winery! Get it together!

I came here with a few friends over the weekend, for wine tasting only, and had a great experience. The red wines here are fantastic! Their M&M and Meritage are my favorites. They also gave complimentary tastings to the activity duty Marine and Law Enforcement officer in our group. I will definitely come back to this winery again.

Why can’t I give a score of zero?
Talk about horrible service!
Food should never take an hour, and a bottle of wine should never take 30 minutes…

Great prices, great wine, and Chuck is a great vintner who was cordial and also a wonderful guide for our adventure through wine country.
Highlights include Cabernet Franc, Meritage, and Port for the red wine lovers out there.
It’s dog friendly here and we even purchased some handy knock knacks.
Being here with Chuck brightened our day.

Best winery in Temecula!
I have been coming to this winery now for about 10 years. I went on one of my wine tasting excursions and awoke the next day a cellar rat! Thank god it ended up to be the best winery in Temecula!
We come to this place only once a year, since we live far away, and are always so satisfied and happy. Chuck has been there from the beginning of our experiences here and is amazing! He is always so friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. You can tell he loves what he does and shows great passion!
I always look forward to coming here because I know I’ll always get great service with people who are passionate about what they do and enjoy excellent wine!
I would highly recommend everyone to come here and try their wine, you won’t be disappointed!

This winery had the best red wines a while ago, for the last few years their red wines are not very good. One wine that I would point out as good is M&M.
We used to be members here; unfortunately the quality went down so we cancelled the membership. Their staff is 70 plus in age, which is fine, however when they are busy the wait is extremely long and the service is very slow. I have talked to people that went to visit and because of the service they left without tasting any wine.

This is a review of my experience at Carol’s Restaurant at Bailey’s winery and the performance of «Hark! the Harold.» On Saturday December 5, 2015.
I just want to say that it was not so much the poor quality performance, the lack of service or the disappointing meal that I has prompted me to write this review. But the shear fact that I feel, I was mislead. It may be as simple as, that there is no continuity between the multitude of sites in which this event was advertised. Or, that the information given on Carol’s restaurant’s website was false and misleading.
It clearly states immediately after the ticket cost. Under «Event tags» it reads «carol’s restaurant, dinner and show… «now I do not think it unreasonable to assume that I could expect «dinner» and a «show». Not a separate charge for the meals. Nor was a menu provided including the fact that prior arrangements must be made for a vegetarian meal; of which two were needed as both my girlfriends do not eat beef. Or was it made clear that dinner was to be served at 6pm and not served after the show started. All copy read 7pm to 9pm; no mention of the previous fact.
I will not go in to detail on my lack of enthusiasm for the food itself. Just to say it was more disappointing than the performance on stage. (I will touch on that later in my review).
My dinner of Beef Bourgogne; a small bowl, a soupy mix of tough meat and button mushrooms and hard bread. The ladies received the same sized bowl of «vegetarian chili» almost all beans thick and dense. With the same stale bread.
And then was, changed for water. (We choose to split a single bottle) To the total of $ 31.
Dinner was served cafeteria style; paid at the bar, took our «chip» to the service area, where they scooped out my meal from a large pot in to my plastic bowl as if I was in line at a soup kitchen as apposed to a fine restaurant. We ate our meal at a table we shared with another party; disappointing only, in that we had paid a premium for VIP seating.
The performance of «Hark! The Harold» a parody on Charles Dickens’
«A Christmas Carol» was poorly acted and amateurish at best. Set, costuming and delivery were reminiscent of a third grade class’s rendition of «Rudolph the red-​nosed reindeer». Not near worthy of the $ 30 ticket cost. Choosing not insult the actors by walking out mid-​performance; we did not stay through intermission.
I do not write this to disparage this winery, the restaurant or the performers. But to bring to the attention of those who may have the power to change thing; do so. That I may be the last truly dissatisfied customer. For I am truly dissatisfied.

What a strange winery. Friends and I came to Temecula for a 30^th birthday wine tasting extravaganza and wound up at Baily after confirming that they were dog-​friendly (not to mention being 20 steps across the street from Europa… not having to drive may have factored into the decision).
Baily is a strange and awkward place. They have a bit of a castle theme going on, with a big boxy stone building holding their tasting room and lots of statues along the walkway leading to the main buildings. One of the strangest parts is that the tasting room is not the focal point of the winery– the restaurant is. The tasting room is off to the side of the main walkway and a bit hard to find. When we entered we noticed that there was nowhere to sit and enjoy our wine. They also don’t sell by the glass– only the bottle or by tastings ($ 15), which put us in a predicament as we wanted to either get glasses or share wine among 6 – 7 of us. When we asked if there was anywhere for us to sit, they said that there was a bench outside but it was occupied and they wouldn’t open a bottle for us. Needless to say, we Macgyver’d that sh**, pulling blankets and a wine opener out of the car, as well as some decorated wineglasses and snacks we had leftover from the 30^th b-​day bags. Crisis averted, and our dog pal was very glad to be outside on the grass. We ended up having a nice picnic, despite our initial opinions of the place. Still, I would give this place two stars if it weren’t for their wine. Their wine was the best we had in Temecula! We tried the rose and the malbec and both were awesome– I would highly recommend picking up bottles here… maybe just don’t stick around to enjoy them unless you are as prepared as we were ;)

I took my husband wine tasting here and it was a really nice winery. We had a wonderful time. It’s a beautiful winery. My husband enjoyed the wine.

We went on a Sunday for their Dog Say Sundays. It was so fun! The staff were so kind and friendly… even more so to our pets :) The live acoustic music was so relaxing. They brought water out right away for our puppy. Then they have a dog menu which was super affordable.
The dining room and patio were beautiful. Plus, our food was delicious and wine was even better. Can’t wait to go back and have already recommended to a bunch of my colleagues they should go. Way to support the pet friendly crowds!

We live about 15 minutes from Temecula Wine country so we’ve been blessed to visit most all of the wineries. Bailys is by far our favorite winery!
From the classic gothic décor in the castle like restaurant at Carols place to the super cool tasting room and delicious wines, you can’t go wrong at Bailys!
Another interesting fact about Bailys is they love dogs! They even accommodate your fur baby with water bowls and a pet menu. So if you’re looking to get out and enjoy the lush grounds and fantastic food and wine of a more intimate winery Bailys is definitely for you! to top it off, bring your well behaved dogs so they can get out of the house. You won’t be disappointed.
Every time I’ve been there, Carol and Phil the owners are always mingling with guests to make sure they are happy and Marla is the best server in town!
This place has it all!

If you like full-​bodied dry reds like me, then you will LOVE this place. They have a variety of Bordeaux style varieties, Merlot, Malbec, and a particularly fabulous blend of Merlot and Malbec called M&M. The tasting room is surrounded by bricks and large windows opening onto the winery. Our server was very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable about the wines. He was playing with my friend’s baby as we tasted. So nice!
For $ 15, we got 6 tastings, $ 5 off any wine bottle, and we got to keep the wine glass. I ended up leaving with a bottle of Cab Sav. I will be back here on my next visit to Temecula.

Great merlot and wine tasting for a moderate price. I can’t wait to do this wine tasting again and to try their restaurant.

I finally made it to Baily while accompanying some friends who were looking for a new wine club to join. While it’s not a wine club for me personally, they have a lot going for them.
Pulling into the parking lot, there was plenty of parking even for a Saturday. The tasting room itself is a bit small, but not horribly so, and made out of rough concrete blocks that fit the «castle» theme. I actually like the building, with it’s statuary and gargoyles climbing the outside building. It’s all very unique. What I didn’t like is that there is very little seating outside; a shame since it really is pretty, and none inside either. I guess they want to move people along rather than encouraging anyone to stay. When summer comes to Temecula, you really need a place to sit inside and drink a glass of wine. Since the winery is dog friendly, why not make room inside for a couple of small tables where you can sit with your dog during a hot day?
A tasting of 6 wines was $ 15; average for the area. I really liked the wines. I tried most of the reds, and was particularly drawn to the Cab Franc. There reds taste surprisingly similar. All are a bit soft but well developed and easy to drink. I also tried the port, which is excellent. The port would go great with chocolate if I had been given some, but that’s another story.
So, on the plus side: I like the wine and it’s dog friendly. On the minus side: limited space and no seating. The minuses are enough to keep me from joining the wine club, but I’m glad I finally got a chance to try their wines.

Omg!!! The worst experience of my life. I will NEVER return to this place. Some here for Mother’s Day (cause everything else was booked) the manager booked my reservation and told me Claudia or herself will be serving us.
Arrived on time: we sat immediately as place looked half full.
Waited 20 to get our first drink and this was only after we had asked a couple of servers for our drinks. Which they didn’t. They both said they will get our waitress to help us.
Once we order drinks they informed us that they had to go to the store to buy orange juice as they ran out n couldn’t provide us with mimosas (it’s noon n they’re out of orange juice??) so we order soda.
We finally made it to the buffet table only to find all 3 choices of nasty dry food almost empty. (Disgusting food. Worst then cheap frozen food) of course we didn’t find out how nasty food was until we took a bite (literally one bite) and decided we’ve had enough of this place.
We asked for our check (waited another 15 minutes for Claudia (our waitress) to finish her conversation with the other waitress so we can wave her down.
Claudia asked if everything ok. I said NO n explain how disappointed I was n how cold the food was but she could care less. She proceeded to hand us the check n left. N we waited ANOTHER 15 minutes to see her again to pick up our check.
I’M NEVER TRYING TO GET A FREE MEAL I EVEN TIPPED THEM WHEN I GET BAD SERVICE. BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE TIMES WHEN THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE CHARGED US AS WE DID NOT EAT THEIR FOOD OR DRINKS. AND THEY KNEW WE DIDNT.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED…

I’ve visited here twice, so let me start with the good: They’re very dog-​friendly, even in the tasting room, which is fantastic!
The only problem is, well… they’re not particularly people-​friendly.
Both times I’ve visited, I have waited patiently at the bar only to be ignored… And not ignored in the ‘we’re super busy I’m so sorry kind of way’.
I’d love to try their wines, and I’m a pretty patient and understanding person, but BOTH times I’ve come here it’s been the same story: I wait at the bar, make eye contact with the bartender, and the bartender either walks away or carries on a conversation with a co-​worker.
This is the first (and hopefully last) one star review I’ve ever written. There are plenty of great wineries in Temecula. Based on my experiences, you should take your business elsewhere.

This was our first stop for the day. My bf’s friend recommended Baily to us. $ 15 gets you a tasting of 6 different wines and a free glass with their insignia. The glass is really nice. Our pourer was an older gentleman, and I’m not sure if he’s hard of hearing, or if he’s just ignoring me, but he seems to have ignored my requests, but seems to honor my bf’s. It could also be that I was using my inside voice, which is pretty soft.
Anyway, we thought their wine was just ok. Not delicious enough to purchase. We started with the chardonnay, the only white we tried. And that, surprisingly, was the best one we tasted. We then had the reds, finishing with the meritage. Overall, their reds were light in taste and the smell from some did not agree with my sensitive nose.
Overall, the prices for their wines are cheaper than the other wineries we visited in Temecula. I like their chardonnay, but not enough to buy a bottle. Love their free glass and the tasting price is reasonable.

There is an older man (Not Ricardo, he is great) that works here that is unfortunately very aggressive and belittling. White haired mustache man.
First of all he started off by asking us what we wanted to do. We said we wanted to try red wines. Then he said 15 dollars. Took our card and ran it and then asked what which one we wanted to try. My husband and I looked at each other and said aren’t you going to recommend which one to start with? He then stared at me and the up his hands and said «do you like pasta?» By this point he rubbed us the wrong way and we asked for a different person to talk to us about the wine. Other wineries will also warn you against this older man and the service from other people here.

We were going to join the membership.
THEY WILL NOT COMP YOUR TASTING IF YOU JOIN THE MEMBERSHIP THAT DAY even though it clearly states tasting for 2 is free for all members. Their reasoning is you can have free tastings after you purchase the membership. What?!
So we asked if our tasting would have been free if we would have joined, walked out and came back in later that day for tasting. And they said YES! WHAT A JOKE. We do like the wine but will not be back due to our service experience.
Instead we joined Europa’s membership which is right across the way from Baily. Feels like family at Europa and they will fill your glass and give you a free tasting when you join the membership at Europa. Skip Baily and go to elsewhere.

Baily Vineyward & Winery delivers a complete experience with aplomb. There is a parking lot, a gorgeous vineyard expanse, a restaurant, and a tasting room.
The architecture of the buildings remind me of a castle: vaulted ceilings, tall windows, dark ceiling beams, and columns. Vines climbed on some of the exterior masonry. The interiors are spacious and uncluttered; the austere rooms laid bare the sole purpose of sampling and pairing wines.
Although the rooms might have been nearly forbidding, the employees and wine couldn’t have been more inviting! We paid for the tasting that provided us with a wine glass to keep, several tastes, and a discount on a purchase.
We liked a few points about our experience at Baily Vineyard & Winery. The wine was our favorite out of all of the wineries we visited that day. The employees focused on us, told us all about the wines, and comfortably made conversation. Lastly, it wasn’t crowded. A steady stream of other tasters came in while we were there but the employees adeptly cared for each guest so that nobody was neglected or rushed.
We were surprised with the alacrity with which the employee helping us showed us a map to direct us to other wineries. He listened carefully to the kinds of wines we prefer and then made poignant recommendations.
