My family has been taking our vehicles here for 10+ years for oil changes and smog checks. Close to work and home. Super friendly and quick turn around. You can wait, or have them call you for pick up later. Their time estimates are usually very accurate.
They always perform a multi-​point inspection and advise us of future maintenance activities that are needed, so we can then budget for the future repairs accordingly; never pushy about future repairs that are not urgent.
Over the years, friends have thanked us for recommending EAC.

From past poor experiences I am distrustful of auto mechanics and there are chains that I definitely avoid. My apologies for starting this review on a negative note as it does not apply to Excellent Auto Care. I have been coming here as a repeat customer for several years because of the trust I have in them. I have always gotten good service and have always been dealt with in an honest manner. I first found Excellent Auto Care (before they changed their name) via the Southern California Auto Club recommended places and was happy then with my service and remain happy with all subsequent visits in my later owned vehicles.

Cheapest Smog Cert in Town! I have been coming here for several years for smog certs, oil changes and tune-​ups. Their service advisors are friendly and knowledgeable. They are careful with your vehicle and don’t try to upsell you on items you do not need. My daughters service their cars there also.
When you get there 30 minutes prior to opening and there is a line of 8 – 10 people it shows that they are well respected in the community. My thanks to Excellent Auto Care & Tire for doing such great work! We actually brought them donuts last time :)

Highly recommended! My car battery died and the towing company advised that I get the alternator checked for the reading they got. I took my Honda CRV to EAC and they told me they would take a look and give me a call. A few hours later, Todd called and said the car was fine, he refilled the tires and I could come get it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was not charged AT ALL for them looking at the car. I assumed it would be $ 50 or $ 100 for their time in checking it, but no. It was FREE. To me, this is excellent service, and I will not hesitate to bring my car back here whenever I need to. The staff is so nice and you can tell it is a reputable company. Thank you!

We just moved here from St. Louis Missouri and needed to have both our vehicles Smog Tested.
Not knowing anything about a Smog Test and if the machine could be «Fixed to Fail» or who to trust in our area, the first one went to the Auto Dealer and I was amazed at the cost of the test. Excellent Auto Care was referred to us by our AAA Angent and the Smog Test here was half the price. Plus they gave us a $ 10.00 coupon to use to make it even less.
Todd was GREAT!!! His friendly personality was genuine and not just for show.
By the time we left, my wife and I both knew we found a place we could trust and a place to have both our vehicles serviced.

Worst place ever. Took my car to get smogged. Made me sit an hour and a half before they even pulled it in. It is an older classic vehicle so it is best to have it warm before smog. Didn’t even put in on the dyno machine before saying «oh sorry we can’t smog this vehicle». I understand if you can’t smog it but you made me wait an hour and half to tell me this?! Never going back here again. I knew they didn’t want to help because the smog tech kept making fun of my car. Oh that car will never pass it should go back to where it came from.

I’m giving this location a one star review because of how handled my car. They put new tires on this car and balanced them.
I had a tire start leaking air within one day of getting it back. After airing it up a few times I was tired of it and brought it back to Excellent Auto Care. They proceeded to tell me that they never touched the rims and they didn’t do it. They still deny putting the tires on my HRE rims. ($ 1500 a piece).
After giving up, I brought my car to American Tire. We have come to find out they broke both of my valve stems on both front tires. Both had to be replaced. The tires were counter balanced (bad), and had to be rebalancing. Thank goodness for American Tire, they really helped me after Excellent Auto Care «didn’t want to deal with it».
I was also told they wouldn’t ever have worked on my car because their insurance doesn’t cover the type of car I have. If they didn’t cover my car, they shouldn’t have worked on it to begin with.

My car made a funny noise coming off the freeway and had it towed to the only place open on a Sunday. Kudos to that! Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Diagnosed it as a timing belt replacement but couldn’t do it the same day as they didn’t have parts in stock. Regardless, they quoted me $ 1500! And that was with aftermarket parts, not OEM. Note this is for a 2002 Subaru wrx. I called the Subaru dealership next door the next day and they charged me $ 1600 with OEM parts, same 2 year warranty and a rental car. I didn’t end up going to either as I live in Los Angeles so I had it towed to my mechanic and he only charged me $ 650. This place knows what they’re doing and with AAA they give you a 2 year 24k warranty but you’ll be paying a lot for it. Try the dealer first or shop around to save some money.

never again!!! note to all people, if your car doesn’t test because of a check engine light or an oxygen sensor… guess what you still have to pay! at jefferson smog you don’t, end of story. oh and ps the guy at the front desk is a cocky douche bag!

We have taken our cars here for the last 4 years. They are honest and have reasonable prices. We took my husband’s old car in and they basically came back and told us the they could do the repairs but it would cost more than the car is worth. Many, probably most places, would have not even told us that and sold us on the repairs needed. They will continue get our business!

I ended up here by mistake as I initially wanted to go to Temecula Smog & Check. By the time I realized, I was happy I had come here. It was quite busy on Monday but the staff was super friendly, courteous and professional, and they took good care of me and my Honda.
I’m glad I stumbled across them, as this will be my go-​to place from now on.
Oh, and their prices: super reasonable! Had to have a part replaced, they got it immediately, or it in and charged me what I consider chump change.

Best place to take your car to. Awesome, honest, and knowledgeable guys.
I’ve been going to this place for years and our family has 5 cars with them, we just don’t go anywhere else.
Even if it’s your first time and there’s a coupon available for a service, they’ll give it to you without you even asking!
