Closely related to Harveston Lake, which is ¼ mile away. When we arrived, we could see volunteers taking down decorations from a Memorial Day celebration. Children were still holding flags, parents sat chatting on the benches surrounding the playground, while the family dogs sat loyally at their side. Little League teams occupied the baseball fields, locked in tense battle. Community residents jogged and biked around the perimeter of the park. I joked to my wife that this is the last small town left in America. This seems a community where one can relax, enjoy a leisurely Sunday morning drinking lemonade on the porch and chatting with one’s neighbors. My son challenged me to a race on the soccer field, but as we made it to the distant end, I noticed signs stating«Field Closed.» As we raced back(he won), I noticed nothing untoward with the condition of the field. The playground featured 4 adult swings and 2 children’s swings — sporting a healthy swings to people ratio that I look for in a park. This park is large, so it’s a great place to get some exercise, with plenty of fields for organized sports. Be sure to walk over to nearby Harveston Lake, which is stunning in its beauty.

Huge, nice big park for events, lots of play area for the kids, a nice man-made lake with ducks for you to feed. It’s a beautiful park with lush trees nearby. I love it.

nice big area for BBQ and and covered picnic tables. If you are coming here on a Saturday morning during Soccer Season it is best to park on the back side of the park to save a long hike.
