La Quinta Inn & Suites Temecula

Horrible experience. Water was leaking into our room from the room directly above us due to the toilet overflowing and leaked into our room soaking our floor and bed. The front desk should have comped us one night stay for we had to wait until they could find us another room, which took hours to do. They did give us a discount on the next night, which was only about 5% but then ended up charging us twice on the tax. Reduculous.

Nicely updated and always clean. I always stay at la Quinta hotels when I can. I really like the colors in the rooms, as almost all of the la Quinta hotels that I have been to aren’t as colorful. The location kind of sucks because it is awkwardly behind businesses and then right on the backside of the freeway. But I would stay again.

Pros: LOVE that they are pet friendly!!! Clean and modern rooms. It was a nice room and I was stoked that bringing my dog was so easy.
Cons: AC didn’t seem to be working in my room. Temperature gauge was off and couldn’t be switched on. I wasn’t in the room much but it got pretty sticky over night and some fresh air would have been nice. Secondly, the breakfast is pretty much the worst I have had. Nothing is actually cooked here. It is all microwaved and not that great. But overall I would recommend this place if you travel with your pet and don’t really care about breakfast.

Front desk person was not as friendly or accommodating at all. The breakfast wasn’t that great either, unless you like watered down O.J. & coffee. I look forward to good strong coffee while on vacation

For a 3 star hotel, it’s of the better ones. It was cool, because the 4 star hotels in this area were out of our range, but we could bring both our dogs to this hotel at no extra charge. This is the 3^rd La Quinta I’ve stayed at and each experience has been consistent.
Free breakfast was average, rooms were clean for a 3 star hotel. Some signs of wear and tear that weren’t catered to, like a fist size hole in the shower curtain. However, the bed was clean and for the most part I felt ok sleeping there for a night.
We stayed in an Executive King, the extra space was nice. Dogs or no dogs, I can only really do the higher end rooms in a three star hotel. I think it was only $ 20 more.

Hi. Sorry for the tardy review. We stayed here three weeks ago, with our four legged furry friend. La Quinta is usually our first choice because of the pet friendly policy and liberal rewards program. We were not disappointed, again. The location is adjacent to the busy I-​15, southbound, and the location is kind of tucked away on the main street. Just remember to look for Annie’s Restaurant on the left hand side of the street and turn right into the driveway on the right. Rooms were very clean, beds nice and nice amenities, unlike a nearby Best Western in Poway. Check out was a breeze, and very helpful info about the balloon festival in May, which we plan to attend. No, I do not work for the local Chamber of Commerce or La Quinta, strictly an honest review for which I received no compensation.

We arrived early and were placed in a first floor handicap accessible room on the first floor. We don’t need, and didn’t ask for a handicap room. Upon opening the door to the room we were hit with a foul smell. The smell was a pungent cross between a musty odor, a solution that would be used to perm hair, and sewage. The room «looked» clean, but I couldn’t get over the smell. I called the front desk and the clerk told me that no other rooms were available until later that day. We opened the first floor window, and I started to get ready and fix my hair for the wedding that we were preparing to attend. But I continued to complain about the odor to my husband. There was no acclimating to the odor, it was continually obvious. After about 10 minutes of me complaining my husband he went to the front desk and vuahlah, a new room became available. It was a double bed, but I didn’t care, the smell was unbearable.
We went to the new room, which seemed overall dark. The lighting in the bathroom was bad. The room appeared clean, but everything was just so dark. We got ready and left for the wedding. We got back to the room at about 10:00 and decided to drive the hour and a half home instead of staying in the hotel. We preferred to stay in the comfort of our home, instead of here.
As a place to get ready for an event, or rest your head while passing through town, this place serves its purpose. If you are planning on a relaxing get away, and enjoy staying at hotels during your vacation experience, this place isn’t it. Overall the hallways have a musty smell, which may be rectified with better ventilation, especially after cleaning the carpets.

Stayed for valentines weekend for $ 169/​night. This is a BUDGET hotel and not worth more than $ 75/​night. Extremely close to freeway noise, had mold in bathroom, peeling paint, and leaky a/​c in hallway. Cannot recommend.

I was very satisfied and impressed with this hotel. We stayed here last night for the NYE Gala at Pechanga. We normally are given a room at Pechanga, but they were so full that they put us up here. We checked in with super duper ease! The gentleman at the counter immediately greeted us and we told him that Pechanga had booked a room for us there. He went to a list that he had printed and it had all the names of guests booked by Pechanga. He quickly found us, asked for our identification and a credit card for incidentals and we were given our room key. It took no longer than 5 minutes! Now that’s my kind of check in!
The lobby was beautiful! It looked like they had undergone a renovation, but I’m not sure when. Everything was clean and looked new. The color usage was on point with lots of teal, purple, and grey and they even had a beautiful mural behind the counter of hot air balloons and vineyards, something Temecula is known for.
They only have one elevator to service 3 floors and it can be annoying to wait, especially when it’s busy, but it wasn’t too bad. They have one ice machine located on the 2^nd floor by the elevator, but all floors have a drink machine that has soda, water, and energy drinks. There’s also a mini store next to the front desk, where there are more drink options, chips, candy, cookies, beef jerky… just a good assortment of treats.
Our room was right off the elevator on the 3^rd floor. When I saw that, I wasn’t too happy, because I thought that it would be loud, but we barely heard anything. The room and bathroom were really nice. The carpet pattern was cool, we had a king bed that was clean and very comfortable, and there was also a couch, microwave, and coffee maker in the room.
In all, I have no complaints about this hotel. They also serve breakfast from 6am to 9am every morning. Breakfast options consist of sausage patties, eggs (powdered), breakfast potatoes, cereal, muffins, toast, pancakes, and pastries. There’s also coffee and apple or orange juice.

Nice hotel. Rooms were well appointed, clean, spacious and up to date. Very nice lobby and breakfast area. Hard to find, they need better signage.

Hotel is clean and recently remodeled. Breakfast was great especially like the waffles and freah apples and oranges.
The bathroom was really clean. I recently stayed at a marriott and it was not that clean.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple for a weekend. It was overall clean and decent especially for the price and the fact that it’s a pet friendly hotel! I actually expected it to be a lot worse. No weird odors or anything like that.
THE GOOD:
— Free wifi!
— Free and easy parking in their lot!
— Free continental breakfast. Didn’t get a chance to try it but at least it’s available and free.
— Pretty good location, only 10 minutes away from Old Town Temecula, 20 minutes away from a lot of the wineries.
— My favorite thing about this hotel and the main reason we chose it is because it’s DOG FRIENDLY! We brought our dog and she had a great time and adjusted well to the room. There were also some grassy areas in the back of the hotel to walk her so she could take care of her business. Friendly reminder to owners– please remember to pick up after your pets! :)
THE BAD:
— I just have one complaint. The walls were pretty thin so it was kinda loud and we could hear our neighbors and their kids. It didn’t bother me too much but if you’re a light sleeper, this may be a problem for you.

I have mixed feelings. I had to stop driving I was just tired booked on line. The room was 166.60 for two queens. The room was clean and the check-​in was super easy. The down side is the cost it’s way over priced. It’s a good room at 110. It’s a great room at 88.00. This place is empty even the parking lot is empty but because the staff was cool and normal there is no chance of this turning into a horror film. The only scary part is the bill. I’ll try to go to breakfast. If they get the rates down I would make this a regular stop.

Not great nor bad. Plenty of parking behind a strip mall. As We walked into the lobby on a late Friday afternoon, there wasn’t a single soul on the ground floor, which was kinda eerie, reminded me of some set of a B rated horror movie. Finally after 5 minutes, the hotel attendant showed up to check us in. Relatively comfortable. Clean and well appointed. Recently renovated. Good for a business stay or specific venue if you need a place to crash. Not necessarily a destination driven place. Purely efficient function. The AC in our room would turn off and turn back on every 5 minutes through the night (even though in wasn’t on AUTO mode) which did not help my night of sleep. The breakfast area in the morning was very rudimentary, serving basic continental breakfast, in an unattractive way. I passed…

So impressed with this hotel. We paid $ 95 for a Thursday night stay and for the price I couldn’t believe how new and clean the place is.
Room was big, beds were comfy, bathroom clean. Staff all pleasant and check in was quick.
Breakfast was good too. Coffee and pastries etc. waffle maker, yogurt and eggs and sausage patties.
We had a room on the 3^rd floor so no one above us so can’t comment if the floors are thin and there’s noise etc.
It’s right off the freeway so I imagine some rooms would get freeway noise but from our room we heard nothing.

The front staff was extremely rude and told me to check out if I didn’t like the conditions of my room. When I tried to take these issues up with the manager and he later claimed that I abused his staff and I was at fault. He didn’t even have the decency to call me back and hear my side of the story but rather emailed my husband informing us that we should be happy he didn’t charge me a cancellation fee. All this began when I informed the front desk that the air conditioning unit was leaking excessive water and it was saturating the carpet and there was a smell of fungus is the room. The only reason we chose to stay in the hotel was because it was pet friendly. I recommend you stay clear of this hotel and its unprofessional and rude management and staff.

I always stay with La Quinta Inn & Suites whenever I have to get a hotel. This one I hear was recently remodeled. We stayed here this 4^th of July weekend. It was cheaper than the other hotels in Temecula and I get discounts from work so it was really cheap. Our room had wood floors, of course a flat screen, fridge and microwave. The beds were really comfortable, everyone who worked here the 2 nights we stayed were nice. The breakfast here was ok, the eggs were too salty for my liking and there was no oatmeal already made. The pool is sort of small but the spa is hot and feels amazing after a long day! We will definitely stay here again. One of the nicest La Quinta Inns we’ve stayed at!

I stayed here with my wife, 3 kids and pet dog.
I had a very pleasant time here. The 2 queen bed room was spacious for my family. A nice 32 inch flat screen, Direct TV satellite with the NFL network I might add, made my Thursday night stay pleasant.
It also had a mini fridge and microwave.
Temecula offers all kinds of options from restaurants to a huge shopping mall. Nothing is too far.
The morning breakfast is nice. A waffle maker, eggs, a meat and potatoes. Danishes, coffee, juices and cereal.
The only problems that I had was the lighting of the room. Kind of dark and the white fluorescent lights of the lamps didn’t give the room much life.
I felt that the floors were a little too cold (1^st floor). Kept my socks on as I walked around.
The staff was extremely friendly. I would stay here again.

We stayed at La Quinta in Temecula on a Sunday night. The location is pretty new because of remodel. You will see the building off the freeway, but there isn’t much signage on where to turn off Jefferson (it’s behind a complex with stores and restaurants).
Some pros:
— The place is dog friendly & no pet fee!
— Free wifi
— Free breakfast (6:30−9:00am on weekdays)
Prices were affordable compared to places nearby! I would stay again.

This La Quinta hotel was great! Compared to the prices of surrounding hotels, I was worried it would be old or in a bad area, and it was neither of the two! The location is great– close to restaurants and the mall. The room was modern and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the standard king room came with a microwave, refrigerator, and a sofa bed. It was really a great place to stay! Was very impressed!
