Lorimar Loft Old Town

Loved the Sangiovese, Syrah, California Sparkling, and Viognier. Great atmosphere, and awesome club member benefits. They also offer some cool wine cocktails. I asked Magda to hook me up with a tasting of her favorite whites and she did not disappoint! Magda is great and so is Lorimar (:

Magda was wonderful! Any member or regular that walked by she new by name giving a very homey feel! Very over the top friendly face! Rose sparkling is to die for! Not a huge wine fan but this one has me sold! thanks Magda for the experience and turning me into a wine fan!

DO NOT GO HERE! Your car will get broken into. Your stuff will be stolen.
My car along with multiple other cars were broken into in the Lorimar parking lot during daylight. We were there enjoying some wine and the live band. We come down to our car to leave and see Lorimar employees checking vehicles for damage and we notice our car along with others had their windows smashed in and valuables stolen.
This place has no security, no signs, and no cameras. The Lorimar management did nothing to try and help and they refused to help cover any damages. They said there was nothing they could do and we were on our own. We all filed police reports.
At the end of the day Lorimar winery doesn’t care about your safety, their customers, or integrity.
The worst part is this isn’t the first time they’ve had vandalism, stolen property, and burglary in this area. BEWARE.

I purchased a tasting for 4 on Groupon but only 3 in my party showed up, I asked if we could split the 4^th tastings btwn my group, I was told no. My friend asked if there was anything they could offer. Cheese and crackers or anything we were told no. We went to 2 other wineries which both accommodated us. Unfortunately, this will prob. effect us returning. We will have to branch out and try new/​different wineries… Customer Service is everything.
As for the wine, we did enjoy the flavors and the staff was personable.

Always a pleasure-​great wines, great attendees. Will was a terrific barman. Musician didn’t show up that night, so they had some hip-​hop music on (it was terrible, so we moved outside),

Great service and super meh wine. It’s very rare that I go tasting and don’t buy at least one bottle and some times multiple ones from the winery, but I couldn’t find a single wine that I liked.
Even if I don’t find one to match my tastes, I can usually land on one I know a friend or family member would like. Nope. All not worth tasting.

Service was poor, the wine was pretty good though. She was more talkative to the other employees then the customers.
Also they have a groupon, but you walk in and theirs a sign that says no groupons. If you buy a group on doesn’t the company have to honor it?

Cute little spot in Old Town that offers wine tasting. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I am not a wine drinker so they all taste the same to me and I just down them like its water. My friends seemed to enjoy it though.

Such a nice atmosphere with great wine, music, and service!
Centrally located in Old Town and easy to find.
Also bought a few little gifts here. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Absolutely love this little place! The interior is super cute!!! Came here in February for a sister’s day in Temecula, stumbled into here and fell in love! Not to mention the wine list, TASTY! The bar tender, she was so sweet and wonderful! She took such good care of us! The wine tasting price was 2 for the price of 1! Couldn’t pass that up.

Nice to see Will again, he runs the bar most of the time. Same good wine as the winery only downtown. We went there after dinner for a quiet glass of Syrah. Nice live music to listen also.

Great place. My favorites are the Field blend, White merlot, and the Moscato. Stopped by to pick up a bottle of my fav field blend and told only 3 bottles left. So I bought them. They were out of the white merlot. So I bought the moscato. Apparently they are waiting for this years vintage to be available.? I did join the wine club. So we’ll be back in April.

Decent place to try a new wine. I’ve had wines from about half the local wineries, and intend on trying them all. That said, a visit to Lorimar was on the list.
The atmosphere was fairly nice inside. The bar is in front, with additional seating in back. There was a musician there when I was there, and combined with the crowd, it got to be a little noisy.
The server was friendly, however there was only one, which I found odd for a busy Saturday night.
The wines themselves were okay. Not bad, but there are plenty of better wines in the area. Nothing was particularly notable one way or the other.

Will and Jay were cool, fun to talk to and kept pouring appropriately, not too fast or too slow, just right to enjoy the flow. Wine was great quality, nice atmosphere in the tasting room, one of our favorites in Temecula. We are picky about our wine but swing by Lorimar every chance we get. Marshall makes great wine!

Had a terrible terrible experience here! Walked in at 6:15 and the pourer was super rude! Totally talked us out of coming in and they were open until 7! She wasn’t wanting to have any more customers that’s for sure! Too bad I was wanting to try something there! We were fine not tasting and getting a glass of something but she wouldn’t stop boasting about the website and all that facts about their place and we were not even asking for this info! Never been treated so bad somewhere before! Wow, no customer service at all! Maybe she was ready to call it a night!

Buyer beware. They will not honor any coupons after 5pm despite no disclaimers on their coupon and calling them to confirm that they didn’t close until 7pm. The lady claimed that because she was alone she couldn’t handle the crowds. They probably don’t get many crowds based on her overall attitude. Avoid this place like the plague! When there are dozens of other wineries in town, vote with your wallet!

Thank you, Magda, for introducing me to your vineyard’s wines and your wonderful tasting room in Old Town Temecula. Cool young man was singing and dancing on the corner to bring in business to the Loft tasting room on a side street! Could not resist. My first time ever to Temecula region! Spent the afternoon walking around the beautiful vistas of the wineries up the canyon this cool but sunny December day. Driving and alone, held off on doing a tasting until after the sunset, when I walked the Christmas-​decorated and western strip of the nice Old Town area. The wineries were quiet but Old Town was busy on a December Monday. Magda really made the tasting fun for me and other guests. Loved their red medlies with the music note bottles, the new release of Chardonnay, and the rose sparkling wine. Missed the $ 5 off Tasting coupon from Unilocal,so you be sure to use it. $ 14 for 6 tastings is regular price. Wanted to try their new port release but had used up my tastings! Magda truly loves her job and I look forward to going to the vineyard for live music some weekend in 2016.

One person working the whole place on a weekend… eeeek! That definitely made the experience less enjoyable. The wines were decent. The pours were average, not generous. Before each new pour, typically the staff rinses your glass in my experience… that didn’t happen here. Nothing to cleanse your palate between tastings either. The staff person here barely smiled, very robotic. Usually, I purchase at least 1 bottle of wine but the customer service here was so dreary I didn’t bother. I went to another winery immediately after this one and purchased a bottle of wine instead.
Pros: Very organized method to tracking pours.
Cons: Understaffed and lacking in professionalism.

Great customer service and a friendly warm environment even when it’s cold or hot outside.

Came in with the ol’ lady. Wine was delicious, especially the Syrah. We’ll be back.

We were introduced to Lorimar from our pamphlet at our hotel and noticed it was in walking distance inside of Old Town Temecula. Jennifer was our hostess that evening and introduced my girlfriend and I to some great dessert wines.
This was 5 years ago.
Flash forward to present time, my «wife» and I now make it a point to return here when we visit Temecula to enjoy new dessert wines at Lorimar. This place is a great wine bar that hold lots of memories for me.

Lorimar is seriously my jam! I used to work above it, and it was awesome to be able to go and get wine for my clients on the daily! But most of all their wine is fantastic. And the staff are so friendly!

Really like this place! Got a 2 for 1 and got to sample most of their wines. Very drinkable! Really liked their wines and liked that they were truly local and imparted a very local and signature flair to their wines. And the loft? So beautiful inside and lots of lounging room, so impressed. They have live music Fri and Sat nights so will be looking to come down to check it out another time. Highly recommend!

This location has more of a relaxed, starbucks vibe. The lady working the counter is very friendly, informative and makes our experience enjoyable every time. They have a comfortable couch, and a coffee table in case your tired of holding your wine you can place it down. There’s a little refrigerator section to where you can buy a mini meat/​cheese platter or a little snack if you get hungry. You can also purchase bottles of wine here, and if your a wine club member you can pick up your shipment as well. Sometimes if your lucky, during the weekends local bands perform which is some nice entertainment to enjoy while drinking wine. Besides a few barrel tables inside, there’s also some seating outside, so people can get some fresh air, etc. Will come here either before or after were done looking at the shops and walking around. Either way it’s a nice treat when were in Temecula. Stop by if you haven’t already you won’t be disappointed.

Really enjoyed our time at the Larimar Loft. Our wine specialist was the best. She was friendly and helpful without being too pushy. We enjoyed our tastings. She gave us ample information about each of the wines we were sampling. I just wish there was a little something available at the bar to clear our palates. Or, even a dump out bucket and water for rinsing our wine glasses would have done.
We were very interested in joining the wine club. Being members of San Diego Cellars wine club, we were eager to compare the two clubs. Well, we were sold. We are now Lorimar Winery wine club members as well. I can’t wait to start taking advantage of all the perks. This wine club seems like a win, win.

Fantastic reds. We were not expecting to love this place, but boy were we wrong! Our server, JJ,
went above and beyond for us. We even became members! Some of the best reds in the valley!

Overall great wines, but the Reds are the best. Also be sure to try the Sparkling Rose for a great refreshing summer starter.

Sharing a bottle of Chardonnay with my husband and the woman at the counter is my new favorite, as is the wine. She makes you feel at home and the wine is TO DIE FOR delicious. She even brought us free crackers and cheese.
Go and enjoy a bottle on he patio ;)

This place is a great little stop. Everyone here is very willing to help with a taste.
Everyone is always really nice here. We always come back for a little taste of grapes.

I came amongst a posse of 5 to take advantage of a Groupon deal for Lorimar’s wine tasting. Normally, it’s about $ 14 or $ 15 per head. I was a bit sad that the selection was much more vast than the 6 tasters they allowed us, but that only speaks well about the variety they had. Our server suggested we stick to either reds or whites per person’s preference, but even then the number to choose from was nearly double than what we could have tried. Although I often favor reds, my favorite personally had to be the white merlot that gave a clean start and sweet aftertaste.
Our server was incredibly polite and would answer any question with genuine excitement and fine detail no matter how trite the question.
The décor was immediately welcoming and included large photographs of band front-​man (and front-​woman) for sale near the seating down past the tasting bar. My only critique of the place is their seating or lack there of. With a group of 4 drinking and 1 DD, the place already seemed a bit too overcrowded.

Small little tasting bar in Old Town. My friend and I each did a tasting of 6 different wines. The staff was pretty friendly but she got more engaged with another group. They have a number of sweet whites, which works out well for some. The Viognier was very pleasant and definitely my favorite of the ones I tried throughout the day. It had a crisp sweet taste unlike the Viogniers I’ve had in the past. The White Merlot was really nice, but after the first few sips become way too sweet for my pallet. Of the reds, i particularly liked the Trio. The Allegro, which was suggested, wasn’t to my liking — bit too dry and dusty.
Their wine club seems pretty nice as well too, the first time you buy three bottles you get the discounted wine club price and then just come back very three months to pick up another three bottles with no membership fee. It turns out to be pretty cheap. As a member you can also stop in to get a glass or two for free.
