K, came here today for lunch and very disappointed. I got the chili bowl with corn bread … and the chili was so gross ewwww. And the corn bread was kind of stale and just blah. My kids thought they’re meals were OK. We don’t plan on coming back here anytime soon.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate a friends’ birthday! The service was very nice! The gentleman that served us kept checking on our drinks(I love my ice tea) and making sure everything was okay! Thanks for making this celebration day so nice!

Located on the(very busy) intersection off Rancho California Rd/Ynez, it is conveniently located immediately off the 15 freeway, next to Embassy Suites. This rating is only for their event banquet luncheons. I don’t come here as a regular customer, I just book huge a$$ events here lol. First of all, I love Love LOVE Sam, the manager. He’s my man, and has taken care of me and my valued clients for several years. I have my annual Christmas luncheon to spoil clients & friends(and to give hubby a day off from cooking lol ;) They recently remodeled their banquet room and I love how it has real doors now that we can shut while having workshop luncheons. It easily seats 50(more, if you utilize the side booths within the room). Sam is very easy to work with and super accommodating, friendly and just so lovable! His servers are always great with us too. Their banquet lunch(the one I choose) allows for 3 choices: salmon, rosemary chicken, and fish & chips. Pie is chocolate, lemon merengue or apple pie. The meal comes with corn bread and a non-alcoholic drink. I appreciate that they don’t nickel and dime you(like the wineries do) if you want to offer choices of meal for clients(wineries will often charge a $ 3/per head extra just to give 2 options, which is why I quit hosting events there). I have my title of Princess Money to uphold so I gotta save some $$$. Case in point, to host ~50 clients at the winery cost me over $ 2,000 one year. At Marie Callender’s, it costs me ~$ 1,200. Yes, that is a lot of money to spend on a lunch, but with such limited venues in the Temurrieta area, MC meets all of my needs of great service, a private room, and nice lunch options(dinner is more expensive, so I stick w/lunch events), plus the clients enjoy the food. Side note: IMHO, the food at MC is better than the wineries. Better prepared, not dry or tough food. At the wineries my salmon is always dry. So, if you need a pretty nice place to host an event and don’t want to spend as much at the winery, MC is a really good option. Plus, my Sam always donates gift certificates to me for each event that I can give away as little thank yous. It’s the little touches like that that keeps me coming back every year. The bonus of doing it at Christmastime is the whole restaurant is decorated so pretty! Thanks Sam & the gang, see ya next December!

There seems to be something happening with either Unilocal or my brain. This is another restaurant that I am 99.2% certain that I have reviewed within the past year, yet no review to be seen… Anyway, we’ve eaten here at least 5 times in the past 14 months and had decent food and service most of the time. I was a little miffed last night when my $ 12 shrimp tacos came with a small side of black beans and nothing else. I liked our server, Haley, just wish she would have come by to refill my wife’s iced tea. Maybe they are short staffed and have to cover extra tables. Yeah it’s a tired and a bit worn and could use a remodel. If they had more servers I think the service would not get such bad reviews but I’m still giving it 3 stars because we like eating here sometimes, we don’t hate it. It’s probably true that some Unilocalers had a horrible experience but so far in 5 visits I have not had anything close to «cold food» or really bad service. Everything could just be better: cleanliness, more staff, better value. If you are looking for the«oh wow» eating experience there are places in Temecula that will come much closer to that, just be prepared to pay for it. I guess my biggest disappointment is with all Marie’s not just this one: Then we’d go for a 12-$ 15 per person dinner, we got something we felt was worth it. Now, not so much.

We’ve been buying pies here for the last 20 years. We’ve always had a great experience and the best pies. Usually we order the Banana Cream pie. So for the grade, they get 5 stars. Here was my experience, these past two visits. One was this past Weds. Night at about 9:30. Gentleman on shift refused to give us a military discount. Not only did he refuse us, he was rude about it. He stated that they NEVER give discounts on take out pies. Horse puckey! I don’t care about 10% on an $ 8 pie. It’s not the issue. It’s about the discount we were given about a month ago when we bought 2 pies. The gal went to get a manager and i10% was taken off the bill. The ladies were pleasant and happy to accommodate us. I don’t know what their real policy is, but someone in that establishment should make it clear. The ladies could say, «we don’t normally discount pies, but we will just this once.» Or the rude man could’ve said, «if you got a discount, they made a mistake.» Remember, it’s all in the presentation. It’s a matter of explaining and not being so rude. Besides that, the pies were filled with more crust, then filling. We should’ve returned them.

There was a small amount of wait time on this Sunday evening. Food was delicious! They have a wide variety of different food from me having a chili burger, my siblings having what seemed to be chicken Alfredo pasta, my dad a steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes and my mom shrimp tacos! We were all very pleased with the food and service! The price is fair, not too cheap but not too expensive either. Bill came up to $ 90 something which was awesome for the amount of food we consumed.(Don’t forget to tip! They earn it well!) Our waiter Rob was awesome! He remembered my family from our last visit and he provided an awesome customer service experience! Thank you so much for making our visit better. And to the bosses thank you for hiring him and your friendly staff! We will for sure be coming back soon! Thank you! :)

Happy Hour is a little different here than our normal one by our house. But as we do lots of times we have salad bar for dinner. This salad bar not quite the same and I was a little bummed… Corn not roasted, dried out pasta and no taco bar. Fruit weak. Hubby glad clam chowder was there but of course it’s not going to be like at the coast it was as expected. Bartenders got my martini right! That can be a challenge some times. They were very friendly and attentive. Liked the open doors to the patio and the flesh light breeze something the other MC is missing big time.

I think when people write reviews they should keep in mind the type of place your at. The place is clean and inviting. The staff was very friendly. The food for the price is very good. The price is half the price as a fancy place and its direct competition is dirty and kinda gross. I would recommend eating here before its completion any day!

Great corned beef special! Happy early St Patrick’s Day! This is our second visit in a short time. This Marie Callender’s has friendly staff, fast service and scrumptious food. The coffee is great too. We also really like the cornbread with honey butter. All the dividing walls, carpeting, and plush seating create a quiet atmosphere for conversations.

My company recenty put on a Reverse Mortgage seminar at Marie Callender’s in Temecula. I have to tell you what a hidden gem. The General Manager Sam Torres and Manager Rebecca were extremely helpful and easy to work with. They have a banquet room that seats about 80 comfortably. We had a preset menu well within my budget(very small) five different items to choose from. I have to admit there food was much better then i remember and the wait staff was pleasant and accommodating, I would like to mention two servers that seem to go out of their ways to be cheerful and accommodating Jessica and Tom. Job well done! So if your company is in need of a meeting room or you want to get away for a tasty inexpensive meal, head to Marie Callender’s in Temecula. I know you wont be disappointed.

We were a little worried after reading the negative reviews while waiting for our order. We went for breakfast the Saturday before Mother’s Day. To our surprise, our server was very attentive and the food was delicious. The prices are very reasonable too. For under $ 9.00, our meal came with a 3 egg omelette, fruit or hash browns and pancakes or toast of your choice. We will definitely be back.

I’ve been here twice now and I must say I was disappointed both times. The first time I ordered essential a french dip sandwich with bbq sauce(it was their special). The meat was so dry I could barely eat it. The second time around and I decided to order the turkey club. Again, the meat was very dry but luckily the avocado. The worst part about both experiences was our waitresses. They seemed utterly indifferent to our presence there. It wasn’t necessarily bad service, but it was far from good. The hostess and the girls working behind the counter with the pies were very nice.

I’m not a huge fan of Marie Callender’s to begin with. I just feel like I have graduated from this type of restaurant, but the inlaws wanted to eat here. The place seems to cater to the older crowd so I could see why they like it so much. I have no actual complaints, it’s just that the food is average. I do have to say, their desserts are rocking. Service is normally good and no complaints at this location. I just prefer a more … fresher approach to dining.

Thanksgiving Dinner at MC’s. This was the choice since we waited too long to call the winery of choice for dinner, and we are familiar with the chain. Traditional turkey dinner was very good. Nothing over the top or as good as home cooking, but no mess to clean up! We did not have reservations, but were able to get a table in the bar area right away.

Always drove by this place and just said«what the heck, I’ll give it a try». Me and my girlfriend liked the atmosphere and the food was good. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and my girlfriend ordered the Cobb Salad. The price was OK but it could be lower. The desert list is good and the servers were nice.
