I was a victim of the Pigeon — google algorithm changes. My company street address has the initial FM which in Texas means Farm to Market… Well, when the change was made, my FM address became a country code for Federation of Micronesia! As a result my local google maps listing disappeared when I was in the number one position at the time… So to go from number one in the local area to google moving my practice to Micronesia was very upsetting to say the least. Myself and my partner went to work trying to find solutions. There are so many scams saying they can get you # 1 on Google and all they really do is take your money and run… this happened several times with many different companies. I was at a loss as to what to do. Even the SEO company I was using at the time who I had been with for 5 years did not know what the problem was. They said I should just move my practice because they did not know how to fix this address issue.
Well, it was not until the person who does my billing for me started looking and came across
