Best wine stewards ever, Sean and Trevor! They were fabulous! They were welcoming, friendly, and answered all our questions about this wine country! We’ll definitely be back!

Oak Mountain is a gem. Beautiful location and tasting room. The wines are excellent. They have a nice variety of reds and whites. There is plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy your wine. The staff is helpful and great at explaining the wine. Oak Mountain is worth putting on your list for your next wine tasting day in Temecula.

Had such a good time at this winery! The people are more than willing to help and also give you a list of their favorites. The cheese platter was AMAZING (try the Brie cheese with the jam on bread… It will change your life) the inside section was big and there is more than enough room for large parties. There is also dining seats outside, with umbrellas for hot days. I also saw the wedding reception area which is beautiful! I will for sure come back to this winery. Oh! And the raspberry Champagne was one of my favorites. Enjoy!

The wine here aren’t strong though… even the most expensive cab. however I will definitely go back and hit up the other wineries as well.

Third stop on our Temecula adventure!
This was the furthest of the wineries we stopped at. We purchased a groupon for the cave tour. They served us raspberry champagne as our guide showed us around the outside of the grounds first. Then we went into a tasting room where it led into the cave. Inside she gave a little history and poured us two more tastings. I really liked the Caveman red and Zinfandel. We got to walk around the cave, which stayed at a cool 59 degrees. Inside the cave were many barrels of wine and at the end was another room where you can host events and parties. The cave itself isn’t that big but it was pretty cool to see where they store their wine. After we got to sit on these sofas in the cave and finish our tasting.
All in all, a cool and intimate place to have a wine tasting.

Wine was very disappointing, service slow, uninformative, and impersonal. Venue is quite lovely.

What a wonderful day trip destination in SoCal! We absolutely loved everything about this place: the venue, the cave tour, the warm employees, and of course… the wine! There are so many great wineries all along this area, and I would recommend starting the journey here.
Using a groupon, we were able to save a few dollars on our experience, and the staff was quick to accommodate us. We were assigned to our tour guide, Kathie, who was not only personable but also a wealth of information, stories, and humor. She was so enchanting, we even bought a wine club membership. The food is also tasty and fresh!
Definitely go and visit. It’s worth the drive!!!

I’ve been coming here since this place opened and it seems there is always something new and interesting. They have a new Chef, and I mean a Chef, not a cook or a microwave button pusher.
There was 8 in my party and pretty much everyone had something different.
The salmon dish was very very good, very well presented and tasty.
The Cave Club sandwich was a great combination of flavors and they will recommend the best wines to go with the food.
Check out the Cave, it’s very cool. (literally) and the staff is friendly.
I’ll be coming back.

This place was Amazing! Kathie was extremely nice and informational. She has such exciting stories to tell you about wines! This winery also is built in a cave which is really cool! I went with my husband and mother in-​law and they loved it ! We also became members of this winery right after the tour. They have specific wine that gives back to a dog charity that provides medicine for dogs and I love dogs !

This is my second time visiting, my first was when the winery’s cave is still under renovation. I have a pretty good impression of this place from what I last remembered with very good service from the staff in specs in his 30s serving us for wine tasting. He’s very friendly and cheerful.
However…though the wineries is very pretty, and I do have a pretty impression the first time I came. I left with a pretty bad impression this time.
~ A guy in his 50s is not friendly as all, feels like he can’t wait for us to finish our wine tasting and go
~ When asked for his recommendation, the way he answered us is not hostile at all.
Of all the wineries, this is my least favorite. Not impressed with any of the tasting I tried. Bad service does drives customers away, so well doubt I will be back.

Having experienced a variety of wine regions in California, Temecula is the most chill. The top end wineries in Napa are superior to those of Temecula in scope panache, BUT, I often feel like a fish out of water with some of the wine snobs. Temecula boasts very good wine, and the wineries are all evolving to the point where a trip to Napa is no longer a must to enjoy a divine wine experience.
The folks at Oak Mountain Winery were super nice, and they have a great wine cave tour, which is relatively new to the property. The overall property is nice, and the areas for drinking are also nice, I’m only providing 3 stars because on a relative basis, I preferred other Temecula wines, and to a lesser extent the setting.
This was our lunch stop, and the food was all really good! My girls had a grilled cheese sandwich which was delicious, and my wife and I enjoyed a pizza, and the tomato bisque soup, all the ingredients were super fresh — ⁴⁄₅ stars for the food.
We enjoyed our lunch in the large enclosed drinking room, which overlooks the vineyard, and we really liked the mellow environment created by the live jazz band. For some, this could very easily be a 5 star experience, I almost feel bad leaving 3 stars, which is not bad mind you. The Oak Mountain wine was just okay for me. Would I go back — YES. The cave tour is super cool, and the food was quality, this is a good stop for any wine tour.

We live in Fremont (SF/​East Bay) which is just about an hour away from the Napa Valley area.
During our recent trip to visit family in San Diego, we had heard about the Temecula wine valley area, but with Napa so close, it never really was in the cards for us to bother with visiting another wine region, like Temecula’s Wineries.
However, this weekend, we were a bit «thirsty» and adventurous! So, while on our way down we took the time to check out a few wineries in Temecula and one of them was Oak Mountain. We parked off the street thinking that we hit the right winery for the amount of time we had.
What a surprise, they had just opened a wine cave and were giving tours.
Our tour guide, as luck or fait would have it was Marc! He was our host that day, and for the amount of time of the one hour tour we were treated like family. He explained more than we’ve ever heard of this valley and really enjoyed the wines.
It’s interesting that with Napa so close to my home in Fremont, we really felt like we were neighbors, or like house guests here, not that typical Napa «snobbary» of «oh it’s you again» and paying $ 60.00 for a taste!
Again, my wife Su and I would really… REALLY like to thank Marc because he took the time (during our tour) and really seemed to care about us and our visit…

Though the space was great, and Katie was super hospitable, I just didn’t love the wines.
If you are into sweet, this is for you.

I am giving them 3 stars based on good quality of food and kind, well intentioned staff that were dealing with many issues. We had bought a Bordeaux tasting experience with a tour of their recently opened cave. We didn’t realize this was their grand opening weekend of the cave. On one of their busiest weekends of the year. When we arrived they said the tour was already full. Yet, their website let us register and accepted payment. The manager said she would refund us and «make things right». But we would not be able to participate in the event we were expecting to attend.
Since we were there we decided to have a tasting and order some food. We ordered food and wine and grabbed a table on the patio. The manager gave us a complimentary tasting of their sparkling Brut wine which was lovely on this warm day. Our food arrived about 20 minutes later (seemed long for sandwich and salad). The salad, soup and sandwich were excellent. Fresh (maybe that’s why it took awhile), quality ingredients. However, our wine didn’t show up until our food was almost gone. It’s a winery!!! We then found out that their computer system was down. But still don’t understand why that should stop them from pouring us a glass of wine.
When we were leaving a few shuttles pulled up with lots of thirsty customers. Hope they used that opportunity to work out some of their kinks.

I love the cave here, it is a very nice setup, the food was good for the 2016 Barrel Tasting Event. The wines were not very good, at least what I have tasted as part of the event. Staff was nice and friendly.

Annie was helping us and she was lovely. She answered all of our questions and gave some suggestions. I loved the Chardonnay and ended up buying a bottle of the Caveman (bonus points for the label being really fun!).
If you buy a bottle of their «for pete’s sake» wine, a portion of proceeds goes to an animal charity, «cause for paws.» That made me love this place even more.

This winery is beautiful. It’s on top of a small hill and overlooks vineyards and other wineries. The tasting room is small, but there’s plenty of outdoor seating. There is an enclosed patio with round tables that are good for small groups.
The main reason we came here was to check out the «cave». It hasn’t opened yet and when it does open, it will cost about $ 15 per person to tour it. There’s nothing special about it other than the fact that it is a cave.
The wines were good, but none of them stood out to me, probably because the pours were WEAK. There is a small bar in the enclosed patio and the server only served one small pour in exchange for a token. I’ve been to several wineries and this one by far has the smallest pours. It wasn’t busy when I went, so I don’t know why they would skimp on the wine.

My girlfriend took me here on a Saturday for wine tasting.
We are from Orange County and came to Temecula for two wineries. This place was our first stop. My girlfriend found a Groupon deal for this place and it was our first stop. I was glad we came early because it got really packed once we left. We got 6 flights of our choice. They give you chips instead of a piece of paper. I liked that they had plenty of choices and they let you choose which wines you want to try. You can also buy their wine glass as a souvenir for $ 3 each, which we did. They serve wine in two places at this venue. There was a wine serving station inside and a small wine bar inside their patio. The lady serving us inside was very friendly, knowledgeable and nice. We instantly connect once she told us she was also moved out from Orange County.
The venue is gorgeous. I believe this winery is the highest in Temecula. Therefore, it had a beautiful view in every direction. It was also very huge. You can also walk through their grape farm and take beautiful photos. They had the wine room which was small but also very pretty. There is an outdoor patio and indoor patio with plenty of tables and chairs. However, it can fill up and you can find no seats to sit. I like that they allowed you to bring outside food in. We brought our own cheese, crackers, bread, spread, and fruits to munch on. We originally sat outside but one of the older staff members with bad makeup told us we needed to move immediately for a private party. We moved to their indoor patio. We later saw the private party outside and they looked bored as hell while the lady explained the their different wines.
The indoor patio had live music playing and some people dancing. The band was very good. They were singing covers to some of my favorite classics. Beside just wines, they also had different ice blended drinks made with wines. The atmopshere was fun and people seemed to really enjoy themselves. We saw mostly elderly people and maybe two bachelorettes. Out of all the wineries I have been to, this was definitely my favorite.

Loved this winery! We got a tour that took us to this winery and I really loved it. They have an amazing view outside where you can sit down and drink your wine. They also have a store you can buy some goodies.
You must try this place out, the staff is also amazing and super helpful when you have questions on the different wines they have.
