Pete’s Firehouse BBQ

If we could give Pete, Melissa, and their extraordinary team 10 stars, we would! My daughter’s wedding was on Sunday, January 17^th, and they were an absolute dream to work with. They met us at Harveston Center, the wedding venue, to plan out the set-​up. They asked for pictures of the wedding colors and theme so they could purchase matching flowers and decorations for there own tables. They gladly filled the water goblets at the reception tables, set up a charming displays for the buffet, cooked everything fresh on site, bussed all the tables and scraped and crated the table place settings for pick-​up by our rental company. Everyone was friendly and thoughtful! I recommend Pete’s Firehouse grill for any occasion because they treat you like family! Thanks Pete!

We are a small group of event coordinator’s but in our years of service have come in contact with many catering companies. Firehouse was exceptional, we loved working with them, they helped out with things outside their obligations, and on top of everything provided wonderful food, and the whole time had a smile on their face, this review is late but I am so glad we came in contact with them here at firehouse, we appreciate you so much. Thank you, and you are amazing!

Pete and his wife Melissa are an amazing and caring team. When my wedding planner Birgit Aviles recommended that we try Pete’s for our catering, my husband was determined that they were going to be our caterer. After a hearty taste test, we were beyond sold (and stuffed!).
Melissa met with us at the venue a couple of weeks beforehand to finish with details which was wonderful. The day of, we had a fantastic spread of tri-​tip, smoked chicken, smoked mac n’ cheese, baked beans, salad and rolls. I had SO MANY of my guests tell me they usually don’t like wedding food, but every person cleared their plates! The only thing I heard anyone complain about was that they didn’t get enough mac n’ cheese! They even made a small dish of mac n’ cheese and had portobello skewers for our few vegetarian guests. After the event was over, they packed up all the leftovers for us so we could snack on it later that night and the next day!
They also had two servers that worked their butts off throughout the night helping serve our guests and then clean up. Everything was beyond delicious, beyond wonderful, and top notch. Thank you for your wonderful customer service and delicious BBQ!

we had Pete catered our wedding on September 5 2015 nothing best the experience. The food was amazing by far the best tri tip and chicken. all of our guest were very pleased with the food and service. They also decorated the food area to our wedding colors and purchase flowers to lay around the buffet area. As soon as you meet Pete and taste his food you will know he’s your cater. We had Pete cater my husband’s 30^th year retirement from the Marines. Everyone loved the food, the tri tip melted in your mouth. The mac & cheese was fantastic, accompanied with the best baked beans and grilled chicken. Great food and great service, what more can you ask for. After the event they cleaned everything, you didn’t now they had just been there. Definitely recommend! They made our event extra special, thank you.

We just had the most magical perfectly planned wedding. I was pleasantly surprised beyond my dreams. Pete and his family are highly professional, we had 52 guests and there was plenty of food! A brides dream not to worry about guest going hungry! The decorations were impeccable — top class. What an amazing night, Pete BBQ was perfection! I highly recommend the Mac and cheese… its addicting! Thank you for everything, you truly made my wedding perfect!

Pete catered our wedding on November 1^st. He exceeded our expectations! The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, and all of my guests were stuffed and happy. When we met with Pete at the beginning of the year, we were sold on his delicious food immediately. We met with no other caterers because Pete was the one for us. Through the months of planning, Pete was always great about returning emails and answering questions. Even when there were some issues with my venue, he sent me an email to make sure I was aware of what was going on. I had some last minute major issues happen with my venue, but it was great to have Pete as one of my vendors because I knew I didn’t have to worry about him. I would recommend Pete to anyone looking for a caterer… Great food, very professional, family operated business, I seriously hope I have a big enough occasion to work with Pete again!!!

Pete did our wedding in Palm Springs, ca in October. Pete hands down did a fantastic job. Well ran, and very professional. Food was amazing. Guests loved the food. We had tri tip and chicken. Smoky bacon Mac and cheese, garlic mash, along with baby greens salad. Then meatballs as an appetizer. Pete and his staff were professional and clean and run a great program. Highly recommended for a wedding or any event where catering is needed! Thanks Pete.

This review is for my personal interaction with Pete for a catering job. I wanted to say he was very professional and responded quickly to email inquiries. While I we didn’t ultimately end up choosing firehouse for our catering needs (it was a tough choice that ultimately came down to a personal reference), I do believe they would have provided great food at a great cost. Pete was even able to help me with my gluten free and vegetarian needs. If you are looking for a BBQ/​buffet style catering, I would definitely make Pete’s one of the first places you contact.

This is exceptionally late, yet still warranted. My husband and I chose Pete’s to cater our August 2013 wedding of about 90 people because he was accommodating and inviting. He was catering a wedding at our venue when we wanted to meet with him and asked the bride and groom if we could stop by for a taste while he was prepping. Thank you to that couple because we met with him and he took the time to talk to us and taste the food. He gave us his full attention while maintaining the cooking for the wedding (I think the party was taking pictures before re ceremony). The food we tried was good, and we eventually signed an agreement because of the delicious food and competitive pricing.
Leading up to the wedding, Pete was very communicative. My husband and I were planning the wedding from across the country, so this was important for us!
Come the day of the wedding, Pete and his crew were exceptional. They had their own decoration and equipment, and they had their own understanding of the venue. Seriously. They arrived at the venue at some point while I was getting ready, and the food was done in time for service. Guests were raving about the tri-​tip and especially about their mac and cheese. I couldn’t have the mac and cheese because I have a gluten allergy, unfortunately. On that note, he made gluten-​free marinades for me, and I really appreciate that.
Overall, you know a vendor like the caterer has done their job when you hardly need to interact with them and guests come to you asking where you found them!

We couldn’t have been more pleased with Pete’s Firehouse BBQ!!! They catered my parents 60^th Wedding Anniversary party. They are so professional and the food is AMAZING!!! Our guests are still talking about the tri tip and chicken and the amazing bar b que sauce, green beans, and garlic mashed potatoes as well as the salad and wonderful salad dressings!!! We will use them again for sure!

Pete’s Firehouse BBQ is hands down the best BBQ in the country, his rubs and sauses have AMAZING flavor, I highly recommend his catering for any occasion or event!

We hired Pete to cater our wedding of 200 people and it could not have been a better decision. Our guests could NOT stop talking about how delicious both the appetizers, main dishes, and sides were. Specifically the meatballs were a huge hit, the mac n’ cheese with smoked bacon blew people’s minds, and the chicken, pulled pork and tri-​tip was all cooked to perfection. Throw in the homemade savory BBQ sauce and very reasonable prices and Pete has a recipe for perfection. Pete was very responsive and flexible throughout the process, which is so refreshing and helpful when planning a wedding on your own. We recommend Pete to anybody who wants to serve BBQ for any event, but especially for a wedding. Thanks again Pete for helping us make our wedding day so special.

Thanks Pete and Crew for catering our wedding. Everything turned out so beautiful, and delicious! I can’t tell you how many people said that the pulled pork and the macaroni and cheese were THE BEST they have ever had! And that everything else was fantastic as well. We took your BBQ Class last week and had a wonderful time. Informative, easy to understand, clear layout and expectations for the entire evening, great location, friendly — yet professional instructor and the BEST FOOD EVER!!! We would HIGHLY Recommend Pete’s class and his home-​made BBQ sauce and spices. If we ever need food for an event, we know exactly who we will be using. We had our wedding in Temecula, CA this September and there was a lot that went wrong with the venue and some vendors but, not Pete’s Firehouse, they were awesome! I would just like to thank all of you at Pete’s Farmhouse BBQ for the amazing job that you guys did at my wedding. Not only was the food delicious that night but the leftovers were amazing as well. You and your wife are both so kind and seem like very genuine people. I very much enjoyed having you at our wedding and I know that our guest raved about the food as well.
