About 1 month ago, my husband broke down coming home from San Diego in our 2010 Jaguar and he got it towed to our usual mechanic at Ramona Tires. They could not determine the problem because they did not have the tools to work on the car. They did not charge us and had it for a day. So, my husband did some research and found this place. We had the car towed to Quality 1 and they were nice. They ended up rebooting our computer and said that it was fine, if the problem happened again bring it back. When the car broke down, white smoke and what smelled like gas? was shooting out of the tail pipe. Quality 1 said they could not get the car to do the same thing when they had it so we thought it was fixed. Last night the exact same problem happened and we had to wait for about 1.5 hours for a tow and had it towed back. I figured it would be no problem and today my husband was told that we had to pay for another diagnostic service and that it was a different problem. I called Scott because it was the same white smoke when the car shut down as before and was wondering why we had to pay for another diagnostic, while he did explain to me that the first time they could not get the car to experience the same symptoms so they could not determine what was wrong. But I believe that this was bad customer service. If I dropped it off with them, then I am obviously going to pay for the repairs but why should i pay another $ 89 for a diagnostic. So, Scott did agree that we would not have to pay the diagnostic. Not but 5 minutes later Jason called and talked to my husband and said we would be charged. Not sure if Jason and Scott communicated with each other. I talked to my husband and explained what Scott and I had talked about so he called Jason back, who was this time extremely rude. He stated that we were a «headache» and would he be dealing with me or my husband. WTF does it matter? I looked at all these reviews and thought that we would be treated as good as we are at Ramona Tires (off Temecula Parkway) and I find out that this place just wants to nickle and dime you. Jason told my husband he is not working on the car and pulling off the lot. I am not trying to be cheap but when I come and am looking for a repair and it is not done or can’t be done the first time, i don’t think I should be charged just for them to figure out what is really wrong. I would not recommend going to this place.
BTW — I have now paid out of pocket for another tow and a diagnostic that didn’t help. Plus, my time — we broke down in commuter traffic at 5:30pm and did not get home until 10.

I noticed a coolant leak at the right front area of the engine compartment and it was getting worse. I just relocated to the Temecula, Pala area and decided not to take a chance and with some research. Five shops I spoke to on the phone and the best line-​of-​BS came from Jason and his staff at QUALITY 1 AUTO SERVICE. I fell for it. I had AAA flatbed my suburban over the next morning as advised by Jason and he said he would have no problem getting to it this Friday morning-​because Jason said it should be «No Problem». It wasn’t until after 2:00 that same day (Friday) he called and said he just had some guys cleared their other jobs and they were going to check it out. He says he has to do a pressure test to see where the leak is and quoted me $ 120-​$ 130 pressure test fee. I assumed that fee or a portion of would be credited toward the actual repair-​BAD ASSUMPTION ON MY PART. Turns out they could repair this PROBLEM until Monday-​MUST HAVE BEEN A BIGGER JOB THEN I THOUGHT. He was very casual that I would be without a vehicle all weekend even though he told me he could get me a vehicle to use while mine was in their shop. NEVER FOLLOWED THRU WITH RENTAL JUST HUNG UP AND WENT ON WITH HIS WEEKEND. Received call Monday that repair was complete and the invoice was well over $ 300. When I got home I called my mechanic in San Diego and explained symptoms and he told me were to look. I popped the hood, looked to the left of the motor and about 18“down into the compartment there was a shiny new «Y» fitting (Plastic looking no bigger than an eye glass lens in diameter). A part that costs under $ 10 and was in obviously easy to access and replace COST ME HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. Jason said they are a AAA facility and would provide a AAA discount and are a NAPA authorized facility. THEY PROVIDED NO DISCOUNT OR NO CREDIT FROM THE «PRESSURE TEST». BAD SHOP BECAUSE THEY OVERCHARGE. AAA HAS BEEN CONTACTED, NAPA HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND YES, THE BAR (BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR IS NEXT IN LINE, NO, NO, NO, TO QUALITY 1 AUTO

Jason and the guys are amazing. Always great service that is Honest and strait forward. Customer service is their number one priority and you feel it the minute you call or come in for your service.
I have had my car serviced with them because they are an approved Mercedes repair facility using OEM parts.

5 stars that’s it Quality 1 Auto Service should have a 100 Stars. I took my car a few days before to Techstar car Master, Inc. in Temecula because the engine light turned on. They fixed the hose, by the time I got on the freeway the engine light came on again I made a U-​Turn and went back the owner said bring it back on Monday since they were closed on Sat & Sun.
I went back home told my husband and we started looking for a new Company too work on our car. Looked on Unilocal and Quality 1 Auto Service had Great Rating and everyone could not say enough about them.
So we took it in not only they found the problem why the engine light came on but they found a few other things too the 1 guy should have gotten on the 1^st time he looked at it. Jason was very thorough on everything thing that needed to be done.
Jason & Staff took pictures of what needed to be done to my car and sent to my husband. I loved seeing what needed what the problem was. My car was like brand new when we got it back No Engine Light turned on and other things that needed to be done to the car got done.

These guys are the best auto techs around; professional and courteous. I brought my car in and they took care of me right away. I took my 2005 BMW, with a few problems, the window regulator had failed with the window in the down position, and was burning oil in some way. After getting a quote from the BMW dealership in Murrieta I thought no way could anyone be higher than them. While Quality 1 was not higher, they were pretty close to the cost at the dealership. I dropped off my BMW and was told they would preform a total car inspection (for $ 105), and they would let me know what needed to be repaired and how much the repairs would cost.
I received a call and was told that the window regulator failed and that a new one was needed (no brainer), in addition to the regulator clips that secure the door panel on would need to be replaced, as most of them break during the removal process… OK I can buy that.
Now to the burning oil, CCVV Crankcase Vent Valve were torn and needed to be replaced and that an induction cleaning would be needed to clear the oil from the exhaust manifold. Again I can buy that, that is what the BMW dealership said was the problem.
In addition to those two fairly obvious problems, it appeared that i had a leaking seal somewhere in the front axle, and was told that i should have seen oil on the rims (I had never seen any oil, on the rim or in my drive way) however the employee insisted that I missed it or was clueless as to what oil on the rims or my drive way would look like.
After everything was said and done the quote came out to a nice even $ 2200!
After consulting with my bank (AKA my wife) we decided that we would fix the window and the rest would have to wait until we could afford to fix the remaining issues.
I instructed the employee to just fix the window as we did not have the funds to complete all of the repairs, after explaining to the employee that money was tight and we could not afford to fix all of the problems, the attitude changed and I was treated as if I was below or not good enough have my vehicle there, he almost seemed confused that I didn’t just have $ 2200 dollars sitting around to fork over to them. The employee then explained that the window alone was $ 730!
And the $ 105 for the «estimate» could NOT be applied towards this. WHAT?!!
WOW $ 730 to get a window to roll up and down!!! Seems high to me!
The employee informed me that the regulator could only be ordered straight from the manufacturer and would run $ 400 and the rest was clips and labor!
I told them to forget all of it and and that I would come and get the vehicle and would have to reconsider when we could fix any of it.
When I picked up my vehicle to my shock the window was still down!!!
How in the world could they have determined that the regulator was to blame if they had not taken the door apart…
If they had taken the door apart why would a company pull my door apart and then put it back together with the window down knowing that it was not going to be repaired… COMMON COURTESY… not here.
I took my vehicle to a company in Oceanside and had the window AND CCVV’s fixed for a TOTAL of $ 716! The company in Oceanside informed me that there was no leak in the front axle… If you need a true, honest and trust worthy mechanic go to Oceanside Motorsports. It’s worth the drive from the Temecula area. Hands down!
BOTTOM LINE DO NOT TAKE ANY VEHICLE TO QUALITY 1. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF…

I took my 2001 Volvo to Quality 1 Auto Service with two problems. My car felt like a spark plug was not firing correctly and the other issue was that when I drove my car around 45 mph, it shook horribly from side to side. It felt like it was somewhere in the front part of the car in the tire/​wheel/​axle area.
When I left my car they told me they would do a complete checkup of my car which I did agree to. $ 2190 later, I picked up my car and was told that indeed a spark plug wasn’t functioning properly which caused problems with a coil. There were many other issues they fixed too, such as the transmission fluid and a burnt out bulb.
When I took my car for a drive, it continued to shake horribly from side to side in the front end. Thinking that it had been gone over thoroughly (for $ 2190 it should have really been inspected), I took it to a tire place to get the tires rotated, balanced, and aligned. Once they put it up on the rack, they saw that the two front axles were badly in need of repair. One, in fact, was completely split open. I can verify this because I asked to see the axle. No wonder my car was shaking violently!
When I returned to Quality 1 Auto to ask why they didn’t fix this issue and couldn’t seem to see it on the rack (which looked pretty obvious to me), they told me that it was probably just a tire balancing problem or the missing spark plug and they really could not explain how they could have missed this type of thing other than they believed the tire place was just trying to sell me a part. They also couldn’t explain how they could have taken it for a test drive and not noticed the violent shaking after they had repaired my car.
After spending another $ 900 to get the two front axles replaced at the tire store as well as my tires balanced and aligned, my car finally works.
I was looking for a good car mechanic when I went to Quality 1 and now I am still looking.

I took my Porsche here after it broke down in Big Bear and needed to be towed. I live out in San Diego, but needed to find a place in Temecula so that I could be under the 100 mile towing limit. I dropped off the car at Quality 1 on a Sunday (they have a drop-​off box for keys and plenty of parking, which is nice). I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from the owner on Sunday afternoon to let me know that they had moved the car inside and would be looking at it on Monday morning.
I was expecting a huge bill — especially after hearing that they were doing a complimentary check of the entire car — but was amazed when they called me to say that the problem was just a radiator cap and no additional work needed to be done (granted, I had recently changed out by brakes and tires, but there always seems to be something that needs to be done). I’m sorry that I don’t live closer — I would use them again in a heartbeat.
