History
Established in 1990.
Doctor Ruiz attended Yale Medical School and completed a year of surgical internship and another of surgical residency at Yale. He went on to complete an Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgical Residency at Yale as well. After completing 10 years of training at Yale, he returned to Southern California where he has been practicing since 1990.
Dr. Ruiz has been in the present location since 2008.

He attended medical school in New Haven, Connecticut at the prestigious Yale University Medical School. In his first year at Yale Medical School, Dr. Ruiz was elected president of the student council, a position usually held by a fourth year medical student. Dr Ruiz again published multiple articles in various medical journals while at Yale Medical School and presented his work at various meetings such as Yale Surgical Grand Rounds, Harvard Medical School, and The American College of Surgeons meetings. Additionally, he spent years doing basic & applied medical research culminating in his thesis, The Treatment of Melanoma with Immunotherapy.
Dr. Ruiz did a General Surgery internship and residency at Yale University Medical Center in Connecticut followed by a three-year residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery also at the Yale University Medical Center.
