I made an appointment to go to Apple Store yesterday for an iPad mini 2 (first generation) screen repair for my daughter. I showed up and they actually quoted me $ 199 for a brand new one of the same model. Basically they said they wouldn’t fix it and that I would need to buy a new one. I didn’t like that idea because there was nothing wrong with the iPad and worked perfectly fine. Just the screen was cracked. If I did purchase a new one I would’ve been stuck with another iPad with a broken screen. The heck. Anyways. They did mention that I can get the newer iPad for $ 260. SO I said thank you, I’ll think about it and left.
Anyways. I previously went to Smart Fix for my son and daughters iPhone 6 screen repair so I went to check them out today to see if they did the iPad mini 2 screen repair. The lady that was there said she was the only one working so she said they could fix it but it would be done by the end of the day. Which was fine I was on my lunch break anyways. She quoted me $ 100! Which was $ 99 less than what Apple said. So I left my iPad there and when I picked it up it was like brand new! I’m glad I came to check them out and now my daughter can continue doing her musical. lys! Lol

So I used these guys to repair my ipad. Worst mistake I have made in a long time. The screen was cracked and all they needed to do is replace the screen. After an hour of them messing with it they gave me a new screen which would have been fine if my ipad would been able to turn back on. It turns out that they used to much glue and broke my ipad. Now i am stuck with a giant paper weight. They would not refund me for the job they did because they «fixed the problem» however my ipad is broken. They are honestly the worst when it comes to customer service. I will be charging back for the repair and I hope no one else goes and makes the same mistake I did of letting these idiots touch anything of value.
Summary: Went in for repair with working ipad and cracked screen. Left with a broken ipad that won’t turn on
Update: So now you are just lying in a public forum? Not a good idea. I would be more than happy to post my receipt here. I am not confused. The man who helped me had an English accent. You are located inside the promenade mall upstairs near the hot topic. You sir are incorrect and offer a horrible service.
