Solana Ridge Apartments

So the staff is great! The amenities are great! The location is great! But the parking situation is awful. You get one carport and there are very few other spots not covered. My carport isn’t near my apartment. And twice I’ve had packages stolen from my door step. And someone stole the light covers off my Jeep. It’s «gated» but not really. The gates only block cars from driving in at night. People can walk in whenever they want. Not only all of that but someone has tried to break into my apartment. It was scary and I scared them off by yelling I have a gun and I’m not afraid too shoot. AND every single night a car alarm goes off. This is not a safe place to live. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Go somewhere that’s completely gated if you must live in Temecula. Trying to convince my husband to move elsewhere.

My wife and I thought this was a great place to live. It is within walking distance of the mall and we do not have to travel far for anything really. We moved in on October 2015 and now we are in our 8 month living here and in our first 8 months here we have had 4 different people park in our ASSIGNED carport! The biggest part of our hatred for this place is the parking. In the part of our complex there are not a lot of parking spaces. We have noticed that other tenants have multiple cars and use a car for an open space but keep that car there for DAYS!
Recent Story: A family moved out of the building we live in. Of course every apartment comes with one parking spot/​carport for that apartment. But when this family moved out other tenants started parking in the empty carport. I then asked management if this was ok and if I could also do it. They said it was not allowed, the other tenants should not be parking there. One day while waiting for a visit from my mother while my wife was at work, I noticed a truck with rolls of carpet on it parked in our carport. Figuring it was for the empty apartment to put in new carpet for potential clients, I walked into the leasing office. There I saw an employee and told her I need my wife’s and I parking spot for my mother, but this carpet truck was there. Also I stated that this truck could have EASILY parked in the carport next to me where there was no tenant and therefore no one to park there, but a another tenants truck had been parked there for 2 DAYS STRAIGHT! With this information she soon set out to talk to the men with the truck with carpets and they moved the truck out of my spot. I needed something from my car 20 minutes later and as I walked away from my car I noticed that there was no note, parking ticket, or any form of written warning for the truck that was parked in the empty tenants carport. The employee had this information and did not care! I follow the rules. I have to wait for empty visitor spots to open up to park my car (my wife uses the assigned carport). But this guy with the truck (and others) parks in a spot he is not supposed to just because he does not want to park further away.
So that’s how it is? I follow the rules and have to fight for parking but other tenants just park in other carports that are not theirs and management does nothing about it? I moved from El Cajon for this?
And no, we will not be renewing our lease for a second year!

I wanted to wait a few months before writing a review, rather then something driven by blinded emotion. This way I feel it is more of a correct review. (I was angry when I was moving, it’s stressful. Not the complexes fault.)
It’s been about 2 months sense I moved out.
I lived here most of the time alone while my husband was deployed. He lived here about 4 months.
I did have a few issues with this complex.
1, the gym had been closed for almost a year. It was open for a month or so when we moved in. I don’t know if it has opened in the last 2 months.
2 parking is pretty bad, but lucky for me I was near the end of the complex. With a convenient parking space.
3 the only issue I had with neighbors was the ones across from us. They lived there for maybe a month and then vanished.
4 the water got cold easy.
Things I loved about this complex.
1 I lived in the units on the street. It was quite. I was also on the first floor and at times you could hear upstairs but it wasn’t complaint worthy.
2 the space, I’m one person and a one bedroom is perfect. Even with my husband home I really enjoyed the place.
3 the dog park. Maybe I’m lucky, but it was always clean when I went.
Overall I loved it. I walked to everything and lived close to work.
If there where any negative things they where out weighed by the positive.
I wouldn’t rent here again because of the price jump. But if the price was closers to what ours was then yes. We would have stayed.

Cant wait till my lease is over this place sucks to many snooty people PARKING IS HORRIBLE!!! Rent is expensive its not that great of a spot for the price a lot of ghetto welfare supported people staying in all day trying to save parking spots for there other 13 cars

All you hear is a leaf blower all morning. Can’t find anything better to do than blow leaves around all morning? Not everyone works 9 to 5.

I have lived in solana ridge for two years. We pay the equivalent of a mortgage for a two bedroom apartment. The clubhouse, which is one of the amenities that I pay for has been closed for construction for almost a year. The garbage disposal clogs on almost a weekly basis, the ice maker stops working quarterly, and now the microwave is broken. I’ve been waiting for two weeks for them to get me a new microwave to which they respond that I will have to wait until someone moves out of one of the older apartments because they don’t want to buy another microwave. People for $ 1800 a month you can get me another microwave!!!

I have lived at Solana Ridge for a little over a year now. The new management has made some good changes. The grounds are cleaner and they are much friendlier.

Let me start with our experience with the girls in the leasing department. It was really awesome!!! Ashley was great! She was very helpful, informational, & most of all funny!
Now let me talk about the apartment. We haven’t moved in yet, but we checked it out. So it looks great and I can’t wait to move. Will edit the review if anything changes but for now it has been a great experience!

Not worth the price. Nothing gets replaced, the management is moody. They either tolerate you or ignore you after you sign the lease. And the prices are not set, they increase your rent 20 $-100 $ every new lease agreement. It ’ s nice apartments, but not worth the bad service and lack of care.
