Sports Authority

Went looking for golf shoes, they didn’t have one pair on my size to try on… they told me they could order and ship then to my house. I need to try them on, that’s why I came in.

Bought a skateboard for my daughter here. She rode it and realized it needed to be adjusted. Carey and Johnny patiently helped me out.

They have great service. Store was kinda slow so I was greeted quickly. Came in looking for kids snow gloves but they did not have any just adult size was in stock :(

The prices are a little higher here but the selection is much better compared to other local sporting goods stores. The only gripe I have is the last two times I went to buy cleats I had to stand around for several minutes with any help before I had to walk up to the front and ask them for some help.

This is your typical Sports Authority. I mainly come here for running shoes. Please heed my warning — you should only buy running shoes after getting properly fitted from a running shoe store.
But back to the store itself. It has a pretty decent selection and having a discount coupon is always a plus!

This is your run of the mill Sports Authority. Nothing special about this store to put it over the top. It is the closest sporting equipment store with more name-​brand product choices than their competitor located a few miles down the street. I typically only come here when they have something I need on sale and I have a 20−25% off coupon. Otherwise, it is a little pricey for a majority of the stuff they sell. Customer service isn’t too bad. At times it is a bit bothersome to have an employee keep returning within a short time span to ask if I need any help. The store is always clean whenever I go.

I had a very good experience here. The staff was friendly and the prices are competative to Sports Chalet. I enjoy Sports’ selection. It could be that I have been going to Sports Chalet for the longest time and frankly, this was my first time in a Sports Authority. The fishing section is decent. They have VERY limited hydration packs, which was a bit of a let down. It does not strike me as the place for the serious outdoors person. That said, they have a pretty decent selection «play clothes». In fairness they have a little bit of everything. I would probably go back if I needed a Dodger hoodie or some rashguard shirts… which they do have so big plus there.

Jerks!!! Change your store hours to reflect accurately. I wasted a trip going to your store only to find out it doesn’t close at 9pm on Sundays, it closes at 8 PM on Sundays!!! COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE INFORMATION!

I’d like to think that its fairly common knowledge that all Sports Authority stores have the same layout and product availability. However, what is truly disappointing is the lack of selection for Men’s Basketball sneakers. I was here earlier hoping to find some kicks suitable for outdoor courts. I was thoroughly disappointed. Not only did their selection blow, but they carried way way way too much Addidas and Converse styles.
I understand Converse was the go to brand of the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s, but how does that translate to being viable in today’s market? Their styles are horrendously bad. I’ve never tried a pair on – mostly because I don’t want to be seen with a pair on my feet. There is also that rare chance that I could suffer a brain hemorrhage right there and die with Converse Basketball sneakers on.
No offense to Chuck Taylor fans, I’m one myself. But that’s where Converse should stop. Adidas on the other hand, should just stick with tennis, futbol and shell-​tops. Everything else should be scrapped.
Anyway, I left the Sports Authority with the quickness. Do I really have to go all the way to the mall just to buy some decent bball kicks? That just seems so lame to me.
