History

Established in 1969.

Founded in 1969 by Dr. E. Arthur Winkler, S.J.U. is a private, Christian distance learning university located in Temecula, California. Students benefit from programs that offer specialized curriculum with the convenience and flexibility of home-​study.

S.J.U. is dedicated to the success of each student. Each program, including the High School Equivalency program, insures a one-​on-​one student faculty mentor relationship that encourages each student to maximize the benefits of their program.

Pamela W.

Business Owner

Pamela Winkler, Ph.D. President, earned her Bachelor of Arts in

Education from St. Mary’s of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN; Master of Arts in

Educational Psychology from Miami of Ohio, Miami, OH; Ph.D. (A.B.D.) in

Social Psychology from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA; Ph.D. in Clinical

Psychology from St. John’s University, Springfield, LA; Post Doctorate in Clinical

Hypnotherapy from St. John’s University, Springfield, LA. Dr. Winkler is an

ordained Minister with The Congregational Church of Practical Theology and

serves as Administrative Director of the C.C.P.T. Seminary Program. Dr. Winkler

is President of the National Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists.
