Tahitian Pools and Spas of California is the pool builder of choice for countless homeowners throughout Orange County and the Inland Empire. With nearly 40 years’ experience, our family owned company has created quality pool, spa, and landscaping construction projects year in and year out since 1973.

History

Established in 1972.

Started as a fiberglass spa installation company which grew into the largest in Southern California in a years time. Eventually becoming a high end, very custom pool and landscape company based in Orange County by 1989. In 2003 the company was renamed Tahitian Pools and Spas then moving to the Inland Empire. Since then Tahitian has built thousands of beautiful, quality pools and landscapes all over California. Today the owner is going to return to the high end custom market designing and building worldwide. Richard Abasta, our long time Manager will be taking over day to day operations in the volume market. With 45 years experience Rich will continue to turn out great quality and beauty. It is bittersweet to announce we have four former competitors as sales/​designers working for us, as this means hard times took out some people who were very good. Tahitian survived due to the referrals from thousands of pools built for happy customers. Our total experience? 5 people 214 years.

Business Owner

Mark Brownlee started in the pool business through installing fiberglass spas. Ended up owning a spa manufacturing company in Orange County Ca. Along with spas Mark designed and built custom patios, masonry and landscapes. Paying his dues in hands on work. In 1985 Mark began designing and constructing ultra high end pools and landscapes. Partnering with a long time builder of high end projects Mark’s learning curve was short. By 1988 Mark had started his own high end company in Orange County. For many years he designed and built very custom high end projects all along the California Riviera, San Diego and on the central coast. In 2003 he moved to De Luz in the Temecula area and renamed his company Tahitian Pools and Spas. An older associate had owned the company and passed away, this man was a great builder. So Mark decided he would continue the name and honor his associate. Since Tahitian Pools and Spas has built thousands of quality pools in the Inland Empire and San Diego
