Stephanie W.

Business Owner

Stephanie is the former owner of Dana Point Grooming, one of OC’s premier pet grooming spas in Dana Point. She has an enormous love for pets, is a member of A.R.F. (Animal Rescue Foundation) and has volunteered her time and finances to help find homes & help animals in need of medical attention.

Stephanie was a contributing sponsor for Pet Project Foundation and the annual Wag-​A-​Thon in Dana Point Harbor where thousands of people and their furry friends enjoyed an all-​day event filled with entertainment, snacks, contests and socializing with 2 and 4 legged creatures.

She holds a certification in animal health care and is currently obtaining her certificate in Natural Health Care for pets to include Holistic, Animal Psychology & Aromatherapy Practices. Stephanie has several furry companions including her loyal Huskies and a New Terrier rescue named «Scruffy» who is now Temecula Pet Salon’s mascot and greeter.

Absolutely amazing experience! Very professional and very knowledgeable! Made me feel at peace leaving my baby in their care! Hey did an excellent job too! Also informed me that my dog had an ear infection, thank goodness! Got right in to the vet, thank goodness for their expertise! Can’t wait to bring my others in!

When I took my Bichon in for a first time groom recently, Jacqueline checked him over and I asked how much the service would be. She indicated $ 55. When I went back to pick up my dog 3.5 hours later, the price had gone up to $ 70. They indicated that all of a sudden my dog was matted. Not only was my dog NOT matted, I’d brushed him out myself, but I was told a certain price and don’t expect when it’s time to pick up my pet to be quoted a New Higher price! Very unhappy and will never refer anyone to this establishment. I felt like I’d had a Bait and Switch scenario done. We would have been good customers. Word of mouth can make you or break you… just say’in.

I take both my babies here and they do a great job. I have a German Shepard and a Belgian Malinois, both very nervous about getting away from us. They do a great job. And if for any reason you are not completely satisfied, they will fix it. But you will be completely satisfied! Picked my Hope up today and she looks very good, and smells great. They even give you a bandanna for their neck when they are finished. Great place.

I have taken my 100 lb. 1 year old Lab «Olaf» to the Temecula Pet Salon & Spa twice now and each time has been a great experience. I love the cheerful enthusiastic greeting we always receive. Olaf, is always super excited to see me when I pick him up and I love the cute bandanas they give him to wear out.
The only negative I can comment on is when I picked him up the second time he was not fully dry and he was in a gated off area with a big fan blowing on him. I would have preferred that he was dried completely with a warm dryer. I still gave them 5 Stars and plan to go back but will mention this next time.

We had a great experience! We found these guys on Temecula Talk (a Facebook local page) and are so grateful! We «used» to use Petsmart… that is history for sure!
This place is quick (90 min in and out because I took her when they opened in the am), they did a great job and the owner and groomer were so loving!!! They are our forever grooming home!
Ellie is a little hot mess Yorkie! She is 2 and acts as such! She doesn’t like her face messed with and they were able to trim it up nicely! I bath her weekly so even though she is used to it, it doesn’t mean she is calm! So this place overcame all the challenges and obstacles and our little hot mess came out of the spa all pretty with her Christmas bow! Definitely going to make this our «usual» hangout place for her!

Amazing, Awesome, Outstanding! After several lackluster experiences over the years at other area groomers, we’ve finally found our home. Personable, friendly, caring, and professional. The owner, Stephanie, and her entire staff, truly care about your special furry friends. I am barking their praises and head-​over-​paws in love with this place. You will be, too! This was the best grooming experience I’ve ever had. So friendly! My little dog has long white hair and its a pain to keep off clothes and everything else. We came here and Stephanie was so great. The groomers were able to rush the service along for us (we were on a tight traveling schedule that day) while still taking great care with our little dude. He can be really timid, but honestly have never seen him more relaxed after a visit to the groomer. We’ve moved and unfortunately can’t come back to have him groomed regularly, but I definitely recommend this business! Your pup will come out looking brand new, and happy!

I have brought my Rat Terrier/​Chi there several times and been very pleased with the results! I used to go to one of the major name pet stores and «Temecula Pet Salon’s» prices are better and I feel that my dog gets more attention and any issues she may be having are addressed. Yes they get busy so make sure to make an appt. ahead of time…
Last time my dog wasn’t feeling well a day after her grooming. I called to let them know in case there were other dogs that might be feeling the same way. They were concerned and even asked that I call back to let them know how Ripley was doing. I was so pleased that they went the extra mile and didn’t blow me off. She recovered from her little bug and is back to her normal «Queen» like self. In fact I am calling today and making an appt. for our next grooming session at the salon…

I brought our 4 year old Cavachon to be groomed for the first time at Temecula Pet Salon! The salon was absolutely adorable. The groomer really listened to what I wanted, She was so sweet with my dog and carried her to begin the process. When I returned my dog looked precious! It was the best haircut ever! I couldn’t wait to bring her home to show my family. They were equally pleased! Thank you for loving our dog and making her look beautiful! By the way, the staff was friendly too!

I see all the five star reviews, and maybe it was just a bad day. The place was dirty. Had not been swept, or cleaned between dog groomings. There was no receptionist, and the groomers had to come out and try to answer questions. It was very chaotic. They were nice, but uniformed and we will not go back.
This is an update, after some thought, I did bring three border collies, not three poodles, two of the borders were rescued and difficult, so, I would give the grooming four star but the service/​administrative part the one star. And really the grooming is why you go. I was just put off and frustrated by the service, the place. But three 45pound long haired dogs, two that have been groomed maybe once or twice. I may have been too hard on the rating and will go back again– this was written after the owner responded to met review, which is always a good thing (it made me think about my experience and I always respect a business owner who responds to criticism)
One more star added-​for the actual grooming done which I failed to take into consideration

I am SO happy this place opened so close to my house. Today was visit # 2 and Nicki is amazing. Our dogs are happy when they leave and extremely well taken care of while they are there. Very reasonably priced. Over the top happy!

The store is AMAZING (clean, adorable, nicer than my office)! The staff is FABULOUS (experienced and caring)! And any pet would want to run, no, gallop to get inside!
