Specialties

Temecula Strings specializes in music lessons and musical performance groups for youth. We have private lessons for violin, cello, viola, bass, piano and voice. We have group lessons for violin and piano. We also have a children’s choir, youth choir, beginning orchestra and youth orchestra. Our Youth Choir and Youth Orchestra are competitive organizations and compete at Concert In The Parks every May. All of our groups perform in regular concerts throughout the year.

History

Established in 2013.

Temecula Strings started in April of 2013 with 23 beginner violin students. Brad Bohn, the owner and director oversees all beginner group lessons and directs the two orchestras and choirs. All teachers have at least a Bachelors in musical performance for their instrument or a music education degree. Most have a masters degree.

Brad Bohn is the founder and director of Temecula Strings and has been teaching young string players for over 18 years. In 2001 he received his BA in music education from the University of Texas. In his teaching he uses his broad experience playing in both university symphonies, as a strolling violinist and in country bands, giving him a unique perspective and angle towards teaching. His goal for the valley of Temecula is a vivacious grass roots strings program leading to several youth orchestras including a youth symphony at the highest level. To compliment this strings program will be a choir program no less amazing which will include a concert choir, women’s choir, men’s choir, children’s choir, boys choir and girls choir. Very high goals and a vision for an amazing program. In the first 18 months Brad Bohn grew Temecula Strings from the initial 23 beginner violin students into two youth orchestras, a children’s choir and youth choir.
