History

Established in 2001.

The Can Converter was invented by Joe Berge (also the owner) when he was frustrated with trying to change out old can lighting in his own home at the request of his wife. She was anxious to update the lighting in their house and he was anxious to avoid the expense of hiring a professional electrician. Out of this frustration came the drive of this self proclaimed «do it your-​selfer» to invent something that would make it easier and more affordable for anyone to change out old lighting with updated lighting fixtures. After a few trials and errors, he successfully created and now manufactures The Can Converter which is available through retail and specialty lighting showrooms throughout the U.S. and Canada and can also be purchased directly from the manufacturer’s website.
