Established in 2012.

Tusker Surplus Metals, commonly known as Tusker Metals, was established in 2012 in Wildomar and now located in Temecula, just behind the VFW. The owners Peter and Kelly Thorpe have worked in the metals industry for over 30 years, and with their vast knowledge and connections anything is possibel. Tusker Metals has evolved as the local Metal Supplier who offer Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Steel to the Inland Empire primarily covering south of Corona and north of Escondido.

Meet the Business Owner

Peter and Kelly Thorpe T.

Business Owner

Peter born in Zimbabwe, was the youngest of three children. His stories of growing up in Africa are captivating and mesmerizing. He immigrated to the United States in 1979 after a stint of exploration in Europe. In 1980, he began working in the metal industry, working for some the top players, as well as owning Southern California Metals, Aerotech Alloys and Tusker International Trading. Kelly Nicholl Thorpe was born and raised Santa Monica and moved to Temecula in 2006 (what she calls the «countryside») to get a fresh start with her new husband. Kelly began at Thyssen and worked her way up the ranks of the company. Together they have established themselves in the metals industry and have a proven track-​record with their combined 45 years of experience; Kelly will not tell you how long she is contributing to this number. Their knowledge, expertise and forward-​thinking strategies have turned their vision into reality.
