Wine On A Dime

I love coming here! They have so many good wines and reasonable prices. One thing that I love is that I can come in with my friends and do wine tasting, even in the evening when most of the wineries are closed. Every time I’m there, the people working there are great. They are so warm, and can offer recommendations based on your tastes. The other thing I love is that you can just come to hang out and relax and drink wine! I will continue to keep coming back because I like their selection of wine and calm atmosphere.

This used to be my all-​time favorite place to go on date night for a relaxing time. The staff was always warm, friendly and knowledgeable, and on a good day you’d get the owner there too-​always a pleasure, because you knew this was not just a business, but a service to him! A few months ago the place changed ownership and it’s just not the same. There is still a decent selection of well-​priced wines, but the inventory looks like it’s down by about half. The staff has also turned over, and while the person working the register was pleasant, there was no warmth. And I have no idea if she even knew anything about wine. I ordered the «Red of the Day» off the chalkboard menu and was told to look at the selection of open bottles on the counter. No one asked me what I usually like, told me anything about the wines, offered to make me an ad hoc flight (as they would have before). I was generally disappointed. My husband will sometimes have a beer there instead but their fridge full of beer wasn’t cooling anything, so he only had about three or four beers to choose from. After I finished my glass and my husband his beer, we had no reason or incentive to stay, so we moved on to a more welcoming place. I do hope the new owner finds her way, because I miss the place. But after probably 20 previous visits where I couldn’t wait to go back, I now find myself wondering if I’ll ever go back there again.

Jason is the guy who I believe helped me out here. Nice place… I just happened to be in the area and just happened to drive by so I turned in to check it out. Great timing as I was on my way to a party and wanted to bring a gift.
Lots of wine I’m not familier with so I allowed Jason to hook me up with a couple of reccomendations. I also bought a nice port for later.

Totally chill place we stopped in while waiting to eat dinner. 102 outside and this place was a cool hangout. Mellow crowd with a good vibe. Would come back.

I’ve been coming here for years. This is my home, a wonderful little spot and place to unwind, relax, sit and have a craft beer or great bottle of wine. The prices are very reasonable and the company is unsurpassed. Thank you Don, Teri & Jason for making this spot my favorite spot in Temecula!

Excellent service. Very friendly. We arrived quite late and were not rushed or asked to leave. We tasted several wines before ordering; we received a generous pour for our thirsty troubles. If we venture back to Temecula we certainly return here. You can purchase beer or wines and they have wine and beer tasting (beer tasting third thurs or something Facebook them to find out and wine tasting on another day too)… Once again good service and good feel to the place. Small little seating area small bar area and larger selecting sales area. Mind you. It’s in a strip mall and easily missed.

I don’t know anything about wine. This review is not wine related (it looked like he had a ton of it though!).
I stopped in here today on a whim looking for rare beer. I was super stoked to find a couple of gems that I haven’t seen for sale anywhere else in town. All of IPA’s in stock were fresh.
Don the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about his inventory and what he can get/​gets in periodically.
They have cold beer in stock that you can buy and drink there.

This place was a welcome relief from a long day wine tasting. They have tasting here too, but it is basically a wine shop that has a bar in it. There was wine, tv, pretzels and a casual atmosphere. Oh and decent prices on the wines too. I mean they do have $ 30 bottles of wine, but they also have $ 10 bottles. And the wine’s not just from Temecula.
We walked in and there were a couple people who were just hanging out drinking a bottle. Nice. I’m not sure if they up charge you for buying it and then drinking it there, but more that a few people did just that while we were sitting there tasting. The pours were more than a taste too.

Will never drive thru Temecula without stopping. We were there just as they opened for the day and they were very accommodating. We tasted wines from everywhere but Temecula only because they were all about good value wine and said that we could go to the local wineries to taste their wines. They did recommend some local wines that we bought without tasting and they were great. The ones we tasted were very good value and we bought most of them. They even suggested the scenic route to Palm Springs and took the time to print us out directions… they were so right, we loved the drive!

My wife and I stopped by on a Friday afternoon after visiting a winery. Very nice staff. The nice thing about a place like this is they have lots of different brands of wine to try compared to a winery that only offers tastes of their brand. We split a tasting flight of 6 different red wines for $ 10.
You can also buy a bottle of anything they sell and they will open it there for you for $ 5.95.
Most wine in the shop is $ 15 – 25 a bottle. They also have beer — craft beer not Bud or Miller.
Place is located in a strip mall so don’t miss it. Only reason we found it was because it was rated one of the top places on

It can be easy to miss! The employees/​owners were very nice and friendly! They have a great selection and it was very affordable! Great deals and I plan to come back. My only complaint and it really isn’t a big deal is that the tasting area is kind of small. On a weekend evening, it can be cramped, but overall, it’s a cute little place!

Went here on Saturday with the wife and really enjoyed ourselves. Sampled around 6 wines each from the Chilean region. The wines were pretty good and Spencer the guy pouring the wines was extremely nice. I would recommend visiting this place, they have a rotating selection of wines to sample, PLUS they have a good selection of wines from all over at really good prices. We will be back.

What a find! Turns out if there is the word «wine» in the name, I must go in the door. I am so glad I did! Our first visit was a Saturday during the day, of course it was quite empty, but we browsed their wine offering — good selection at fair prices. Spencer was quite knowledgeable, which is very refreshing.
If you are a member, there is no corking fee if you want to enjoy a bottle in their welcoming tasting room.
The following Thursday evening, we had the full experience. did a tasting for a resonable price, then shared a bottle. Fun, lively atmosphere, has a great vibe.
This may be my new favorite place!

A good pairing is like a match made in heaven. Finding great new wine is like meeting a new friend; Wine on a Dime is the perfect place to do both.
Tucked away in a small building off of Jefferson Avenue, I stumbled across Wine on a Dime while driving by over a year ago. I was curious, had no expectations one way or another but stopped in nonetheless.
The place is fabulous! The wine selection is incredible and new wines are continually being added. They have all genre’s of wine from around Temecula, the State of California, the America’s and around the world.
Don the owner, is both knowledgable and friendly but thankfully unpretentious (which, unfortunately, is all to often an annoying trait found in many curators of wine shops). Don will tell you what he honestly thinks about a wine — without any high-​pressured sales tactics or upselling.
They have wine tastings onsite and the atmosphere is a place where friends, new and old, can come together to explore, hang-​out, learn and enjoy. I should also point out that the prices are fantastic and there are great bargains to be found. They have special events and classes to so be sure to sign up for their mailing list on their website.
They are open Monday — Saturday from 10:30 — 7:00 but 7:00 is a soft close; many nights will find the lights still on with Don and customers talking shop and tasting the latest gems.
Wine on a Dime is just that — a gem in the heart of wine country in Temecula.

I love this establishment also. You just can’t find better proprietors then Michelle and Don. There wine tasting events on Wednesdays are fabulous. Great wines and fabulous prices also!

I absolutely LOVE this place. The staff is incredibly friendly. They do cheap tastings and have nice events. The wine is VERY reasonably priced. I have walked out of there with 2 cases of wine for around 200. They carry a pretty good selection. Keep in mind I am NOT a wine snob. I enjoy a good sampling of which is not going to put me in the poor house. I believe they have done and EXCELLENT job of capturing this. Of course they do have Cakebread (sorry personal favorite). Overall a very fantastic experience.
