Cloud Nine Salon and Spa

Every year I get a gift card from here for my birthday so I can get my pedicure on. The staff are so nice and the spa is calm and clean.
I always enjoy myself and my pedicures last forever. I knocked off a star because they seem to have a scheduling problem. Everything I’ve come for an appointment the nail tech is running late. This isn’t a problem for me because I always leave extra time to relax and let my nails dry. They really should leave ten minutes in between appointments so the techs can clean the equipment without having to make the next client wait.

I have been searching for my forever stylists for years. After good, bad, and awful experiences I found Jocelyn. She is my hair god. She knows exactly what I want and how to get me there without damaging my hair! My hair is tough because of the thickness, and natural color. Jocelyn has a gift, and I encourage everyone to see her! No matter what you are looking for she always hits it right on the head. I love love love my hair more and more everyday! I will never go to anyone else! I also had her do gels on my nails. Just to try. She always paints them perfectly, and my gels last forever! HIGHLY reccommended!

Emily has a gift!!! She does a beautiful job on both color AND cut. The best part is the shampoo/massage…heaven. I almost fell asleep :)

My hair got very damaged after a perm. I have lost lots of hair after this perm and still continue losing hair. I don’t recommend doing perm here.

My hair has been turning grey quickly, and I always thought I would go grey gracefully. Lately, as I look in the mirror I feel like I look like an old hag.
My best friend told me about Jocelyn at Cloud 9. I was skeptical. I have colored my hair before, and was unhappy with the results. I have had more people work on my hair than I can even count.
My search is over! Jocelyn listened to what I wanted, and offered me choices of colors that would work best for my skin tone and how it would look as my grey grew back in.
I look in the mirror and don’t recognize myself! I look at least ten years younger. I am so happy!
I am so excited to have found a talented and oh so sweet expert to put in charge of my hair! She even trimmed my daughters hair while I processed! Jocelyn is a jewel!

I called to make an appointment with Jocelyn, as I really enjoyed chatting with her last time and she did an amazing job, but she wasn’t available — the woman who called me (Susan or Susanna, I think it was) was lovely, very friendly and patient when I had no idea what kind of hair coloring I had done (I’m terrible at «girly» things, sorry!) and when I had a mouthful when I first answered the phone.
It was Emily who did my hair; she did a lovely job, with both the color and the cut, and she was faster than many previous hairdressers I’ve been to. When washing my hair she was really good about not putting any strain on my neck after I told her I’ve got a few temporary muscles issues going on, and she was great to chat to as well, which really helped me stay awake. (I keep strange hours and get so tired in the day; chatting away kept me awake.) Very nice girl :-) Really lovely job. (I also asked her for input on color and cut/​style, I think she made really great choices.)
I also had my eyebrows done by Feri — it was my first time to get them done here and I forgot to mention I have extremely sensitive skin, (mostly because I don’t, except around my brows; where I’m insanely sensitive,) but she did a truly amazing job; not only in making them look great, or her process of showing the person and letting them decide to go thinner or not, but despite using standard wax and my brows looking angry (a lot of redness and white angry blotchiness) it was significantly less painful than previous waxes and now, a few hours later, the angry looking bits are gone and the redness, while still there, (expected– it’s normally there 3 – 4 days, stingy for 2 – 3,) is not at all painful; I was able to put back in my (fiddly) eyebrow piercing without any pain from rubbing on the skin there. She was also lovely to talk to, however briefly, and I found her to be a very «warm» person, which I always appreciate. Just lovely.
Everyone else I encountered was great too, the girl at the desk (I didn’t get your name, sorry) was very nice and patient and as always, it was just a very pleasant experience. I really recommend this place; it’s rare to find so many great people in one salon :-)

Jocelyn is so incredibly talented and very easy to talk to! I’m so grateful to have found a hairdresser here in the valley that shows the kind of passion she has for hair design. I wouldn’t visit anyone else! Beyond that, the salon has a very relaxing atmosphere and comfortable sinks for rinsing! Excellent experience.

This place is AMAZING! Robyn is wonderful and works wonders on my hair. The staff is all very kind and welcoming. Cloud 9 is a nice little oasis when you need to get away for a couple of hours.

After our first magnificent experience last December at cloud 9 spa my family and I decided to have another spa day. Each of us received a facial and Swedish message. The facials (performed by Ferri and Zara) were AMAZING! great great service, they were personable and each of our treatments was fantastic.
The messages… Not so much, in fact, quite the opposite. One person in my party did not receive her full 50 minutes of the 50 minute message. Another felt the masseuse took more time tucking her in then performing the message, and I felt like my back was getting rubbed instead of massaged. The girl who preformed my message was a bit awkward and didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing — maybe she just graduated from school, I’m not sure. But needless to say, we will not be getting massages at cloud 9 any more.
I will be going back for a facial from Zara. If we just got facials I would give 5 stars, however because we also got the massages, I am giving 3 stars.

Giving 2 stars because of the friendliness of the staff. Went in for a trim and a light ombré. Walked out with a funky cut and yellow hair. Tried to live with it because I’m not one to make a fuss… I just couldn’t. Went back (free of charge) and asked for the cut to be fixed (styled it when I got home & it’s worse) & get my hair back to its natural color. I had medium/​dark brown hair… I walked out with almost black hair. Worst hair experience of my life.

My entire family (myself, husband and three kids) come here to get our hair done by Robyn who is amazing!!! She is relatively new to this salon but she is fantastic at all types of cuts and color. We searched for over a year for a stylist that could handle styles for our whole family after moving to Chandler but often the stylists would get some hair cuts right but not others. For example, my husband got a great cut but mine was blah. Not with Robyn! I recently started getting my hair colored professionally again and it turned out exactly how I wanted. Bring pictures and Robyn can make it happen for you.
I waited to post this until we saw her for styles twice and we were definitely not disappointed the second time around. I was nervous to book with her initially (although someone at the salon had recommended her to me) only because she didn’t have reviews on Unilocal at the time. I hate the idea of her getting so popular I can’t get appointments but she’s awesome and will make you look great!
I’ve also been here for massages and facials that were wonderful are very reasonable. Cloud 9 is the best salon, hands down.

Amazing spa! I wish I could remember the girls name that gave me the best massage I’ve ever had! It was like mikala? Or something. I usually go to the phonecian but this massage was only $ 63. I would have happily paid $ 150. I will be going back.

My hair broke off in extreme damage after a highlighting. Stylists and staff however are nice. I’ve had bold color highlights before on top of my dyed black hair at other salons and breakage has never happened. I brought my concerns to the owner, and she was quite understanding and offered me a free repair service, which in this unfortunate case, meant cutting the hair OFF. They made it blend as best they could while keeping my length. Grateful for their stellar customer service with my issue.

Michelle is the BEST she knows exactly what compliments my hair and makes my hair look better and better each time I come in !!! Cloud 9 is super friendly and it’s a fun environment to be in!!! I love it there and would highly recommend !!

Great salon! I called earlier in the day and they were able to get me in the same day. The atmosphere is relaxing and modern. Robyn cut my hair and did a really great job. She listened to my idea, but was also realistic about what would look good. I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend them.

Wow. I’m impressed. Had a hair emergency and Cloud Nine Salon and Spa was able to get me in the same day. Tina colored, cut and styled my auburn hair and did an amazing job. She only did the roots, and was able to match the color perfectly. I’ve already made my next regular appointment in 4 weeks. The salon has a great vibe and I’m also looking forward to having more services done, other than hair. What a great find!

Got an appointment with Stacy and i was so happy because I have been trying to get my hair colored for weeks! She did an amazing job getting my hair from brassy blonde highlighted hair to an even deep dark red. She was very friendly and made sure it was to my liking. It was very reasonable and i will definitely be returning to her soon.

I’ve sent my wife several times for the 4 hour facial, massage, manicure, pedicure and lunch deal. She loves it. We’ve done couples massage here too and it was incredible. The facility is nice, great staff and support and really feels fancy. It’s pricey, but well worth it.

Just wanted to first point out that Annika did my hair. I got a cut and partial highlights, she did an awesome job. She was very friendly and engaged in conversation, all while taking her time to work on what I exactly wanted with my hair. I am very satisfied by her service and time well spent to make my request exactly what I wanted.
The reason why I took two stars off is because of the ambiance and unwelcoming feeling I got from this location. I first walked in and there were two receptionist at the front. The first girl I made contact with, she looked at me smirked and went back to working. I thought maybe she was looking something up real quick, then after a minute or so went by I just moved over to the next receptionist and had to acknowledge myself. Did not feel very welcomed by the two lady’s in the front.
The salon was nice and clean. However, It felt kind of boring. No real background music. The stylist seemed like they hated each other or something… no one talked to one another and I rarely saw a smile on any of the stylist, except for Annika, she seemed like the friendliest one there.
I just moved from California, so I am on the hunt for my new norm hair salon/​stylist. My old salon back home was very upbeat, everyone was always talking to each other, smiling, creating a good customer experience, all while doing a great job on my hair.
This salon was just okay, simply because Annika was great… but not enough to become a regular. I just didn’t feel at ease with the whole experience and ambiance of Cloud Nine. I’m confident that I can find a salon in AZ with great stylist as well as a welcoming feel.

I came here for a massage and the greeting you get coming in, is far from intimidating and is very friendly. I enjoy their little relaxation room that is very basic but needed to separate the spa portion from the hair-​fixing-​area. They seem to have a limited amount of rooms and I was led to a small room in the end that probably sees little use, and is not really set up to have a massage in — I guess.
My masseuse was nice and personable. My massage was good, and relaxing — but at a couple of times I felt I was being left as if the lady had her own stuff going on (checking her cell or something). Not a major distraction, but definitely worth mentioning. A nice thing is that she worked on places where she could tell I have issues, as it should be.
In conclusion I feel that the massage was quite average (not a bad thing) but the salon is very nice over all and has an inviting and happy feel. This is a good thing, and something I do enjoy. Sometimes its the small things that lingers with you and weighs in if you’d go back or not. In this case, I would.
