History

Established in 2001.

At the intersection of Mill and Southern Avenue, our FastMed clinic is right next to Fry’s Food and only a mile away from Superstition Freeway. Our caring, qualified staff is here to serve you every day of the year, and we stay open until 8 pm Monday through Saturday and are open Sunday until 4 pm. Illnesses and injuries happen unexpectedly and your primary care physician may not be able to see you right away.

FastMed will take care of you the day you walk in, without a long wait. We specialize in treating the flu, coughs and other mild to moderate illnesses, but are capable of much more. Our state-​of-​the-​art facility has up-​to-​date X-​ray technology, and we can stitch or suture minor lacerations as well. We’d love to see you even when you’re feeling healthy! Our friendly healthcare professionals offer work physicals and sports physicals for the athletics participation.

I wish that I could give this joke of an urgent care less than 1 star. Carrie the PA came in and «diagnosed» based off of the few things I had circled on the sheet I filled out on my entry paperwork. She barely asked me two questions. One being «are you a smoker?». Gave me the worlds fastest exam and determined that since I didn’t have a fever (even though I told her I had taken two Alieve a few hours prior) that I was fine. I get strep about 2 times a year, I know my body. As I was trying to ask her further questions because she had barely spent any time with me, she immediately got loud and started bobbing her head with her hand in the air pretty much telling me I didn’t know what I was talking about. I even went out of my way to ask if maybe she was having a bad day to which she responded, «no, and I have a medical degree and you do not!» (Really?! Because if I did I definitely would t be here!) All I wanted was to be looked at and listened to and I have never had a «Doctor» listen to me less! And like I said, I have a poor immune system and am sick a lot. Absolutely ridiculous.

I came here on a Saturday night and the front desk staff helped me immediately. I filled out the paper work and before I could even sit down they called me to be seen by the physician’s assistant. He addressed my concerns and I rcvd a prescription. No issues at all. I would definitely return here for care.

I went here and the place was amazing! I was in and out of there within an hour. They are friendly, professional and received an accurate diagnosis with the medication phoned into my pharmacy, better than my doctors office! I highly recommend coming here, when you need to be seen by medical personnel.

I’ve been here two or three times now and while I had a bit of a wait this time its because it is in an easy to get to location and used by a large number of people. I did appreciate the free bottled water they offered while waiting and I like that I can provide a credit card number and they bill the actual cost when they get their numbers in relative to my health plan. Only thing to mention is that the prescription I got was not available at CVS — if they could call my preferred pharmacist and make sure what they are prescribing is available that would be a nice touch so they could prescribe something that is available.
By the way, I also see they have someone reading and responding to reviews — not many places seem to do that so nice touch on their part. It shows they are paying attention and taking the feedback into account.

This is the first review I have written, that’s how much I hate this place. They have the laziest front desk people I have ever met in my life. With a waiting room full of people they just talked to each other and did no work what so ever. I highly recommend never coming here!

I have visited this establishment twice, and both times have been extremely unsatisfied. The first time, I got here a few minutes before opening, but the door was unlocked. I walked in, thinking they were just open early, and when the employees came out and saw me in the lobby, they asked me what I was doing there (fairly obvious, I think), and then made me leave the building and wait until they were actually open before they would help me at all. Mind you, it was about 10 minutes before open at this point. They were extremely rude, and I felt as though my health didn’t matter, especially if they were willing to make me leave and go back outside, regardless of my sickness. The second time, I drove friends here as it was conveniently located. The lady behind the desk gave out forms and then walked away, not to be seen again for fifteen to twenty minutes, even though no one else was here, and we were done with the forms and just waiting idly by. The customer/​patient service here is atrocious, and I do not recommend going to this clinic, no matter how convenient it may be.

I called ahead to find out the wait time before visiting on a Saturday night around 7:00. Thankfully, there was only one other person waiting, so I got an appointment time online and headed over. Check in was easy and the waiting room is spacious, clean, and stocked with TVs, wifi, and magazines. I waited fewer than 10 minutes before being called back and then fewer than 5 minutes before seeing the PA, who examined me, listened to my symptoms (stubborn migraine), and prescribed a steroid (that’s what I asked for since painkillers don’t always work for me). All in all, a very satisfying experience. If the wait time is good next time I call, I’ll definitely go back.

Currently at fastmed. It’s been close to two hours and still no doctor or PA or whoever to see me. Only 3 people when I got here in waiting room. definitely would not recommend this place. Too SSSSSLLLLLOOOOWWWW!

Scheduled a 8am appt on a Sunday so I could get in early and get on with my day. Except for the receptionist, the staff slowly showed up between 8:10 and 8:15. I expect a medical staff to be a little more professional.

Got hit on my bike a few days ago and as usual the pain started to get worse the longer I waited so thought I’d check them out to see if they can help me… Mistake accuse me of using drugs to excess because I donated my kidney so because
I saved some ones life I don’t deserve pain relief. Screw this place never will go here or let anyone I know go here

TERRIBLE! Please read my review before you make the mistake of going to this clinic! My experience started out great. I had a minor infection and the provider offered me two antibiotics. I took the prescription for Antibiotic A to the pharmacy and fulfilled it, but unfortunately experienced a common negative side effect. When I called back to request the other antibiotic they had prescribed me the day before, the receptionist told me the provider on duty would get «right back to me.» I had to call them back 4 times in the span of almost 4 hours to find out that the provider refused to speak to me by phone and I had to come in for another appointment. Simply to get a prescription for something they had already written out the day before. As I was stating my dissatisfaction the receptionist put me on hold mid-​sentence, only to return and claim there had been «an emergency» and she had to cut me off.
Terrible terrible terrible customer service. I would NEVER go back. TERRIBLE!!! You are better off going to the ER or your primacy care provider.

My doctor had just retired and I had little choice but to visit a «doc in a box» for an infected toe and this was close to work. There wasn’t even a doctor on the premises in the middle of the afternoon on a week day. I was seen by a physician’s assistance who barely even looked at my toe, gave me an antibiotic prescription, and sent me on my way. My toe got much worse and I ended up seeing a specialist for fungus that was now invading my tissue. Terrible medical service and I will NEVER go to another FastMed. I wish me and my insurance company had our $ 295 back — yes, almost $ 300 for the non-doc’s glancing look. Good luck if you visit here — you’re going to need it.

I took my 3 year old daughter here for a strange, raspy cough, she had for a week. I have 5 children, and usually can tell when something needs to be treated. The diagnosis was allergies and I was told to use a humidifier. No strep test, the attending nurse was not able to answer questions, and could not understand observations. 2 days later my daughter was diagnosed with strep.
Facility has high employee turnover (every 3 months all new people, this is the second time this year).
Do not bring your children here.
Fast but deadly.

First time at FastMed yesterday and it was a great experience. Very quick to be seen, clean facilities, and all the staff was great. Total time in the urgent care was under an hour which is awesome.
