Purcell Tire and Service Center

A blowout on the freeway in afternoon traffic is the worst. Especially when its close to 5pm and not many tire/​repair shops are open. While waiting for AAA to tow us, we found these guys online and thank god they were open until 7pm and down the street! We live in the north valley so it was another 30 miles to get home) We got the car there by 630 and they were waiting for us. Richard, the gentleman that helped us, gave us the price before they did anything. The tire was on in less than 10 minutes and when I paid for it, the price didn’t change (yes, that has happened before) The price was fair, they were very friendly and professional. I didn’t feel uncomfortable or like I was being taken advantage of. A lot of times, places like these have men that like to talk down to you because you are a woman and it pisses me off. Not this place.

I love my neighborhood, it affords me a very urban life. But living in Phoenix I have to have a car, and my trusty 1992 Honda Accord with 326,000 miles on it sometimes needs a tune up.
I can drop my car off at Purcells, and walk home. I love it. And Purcell’s has always done great work and so far have never tried to rip me off. In fact, I did have a mechanic for my Honda that worked on my car for years and years until he told me it would cost over 1,000 bucks to fix something. I took it to Purcells and they did the work for $ 300.
Purcells does repairs, oil changes, tires, etc. I’ve accepted the fact that someday my Honda will die but until then, I’m only taking it to Purcells.
