Studio VaVaVoom: Dance*Fitness*Burlesque*Body Positivity is an 800 square foot dance studio at 825 East McKellips Road in Tempe AZ 85 281. Studio VaVaVoom opened for business February 2014 after having held many classes in others’ studios for several years.

Studio VaVaVoom is built on a foundation of positivity; no drama, no «I can’t», self improvement, body positivity and FUN! The studio is best known for the VaVaVoom signature burlesque curriculum created and developed by Mizz Lucy Morals of Romantasy Cabaret, however, Studio VaVaVoom also offers other dance disciplines, yoga, and of course fitness classes. History

Established in 2008.

Initially VaVaVoom Burlesque & Dance was taught in other studios until we outgrew those spaces. In 2014 we opened up our very own home of burlesque.

Mizz Lucy M.

Business Owner

Mizz Lucy began her dance explorations in 1999 with bellydance and studied bellydance, primarily Tribal Fusion Styles, for several years, eventually becoming a bellydance instructor. She eventually craved more of the circus-​sideshow-​vaudeville styles and began to study circus and vaudeville history which then led her to burlesque. Burlesque was bellydance’s naughty sister and what connected Lucy most with burlesque was the open minded welcoming body positivity that she discovered in most burlesque circles. The rhinestones, feathers and glitter didn’t hurt one bit! Lucy has been teaching her signature brand of burlesque since 2008, started up a performance collective in 2009 and has produced burlesque & adult variety shows around the valley since 2007.
