At Tempe Feed and Tack if you are simply looking to purchase dog food they are more than happy to talk about brand selection and carry the bag to your car for you. If your dog is sick you can buy remedies there and they will be able to give you advice on similar episodes they have been through with their dog. The staff’s time, attention, and helpfulness is unparalleled in comparison to any major chain.
For me, the reason why I choose Tempe Feed and Tack is because every time I bring my dogs in the staff will not only remember their names but they remember which tricks they know and they always have treats at the ready.

The best Feed store in AZ! Family owned and operated. I have purchased all of the dog food for Wyatt my Weimaraner here. They are extremely knowledgeable and many times give better advice than the Vet. You have a customer for life.

They were able to answer all my questions and to provide informative recommendations that will enhance my dogs wellbeing. This is a family owned and operated business that truly knows their craft. We are so happy they serve our community and were available to help us with our new baby.

Professional, knowledgeable and friendly! I love this place and every time I go in they know exactly what I need and even ask about my dogs and how they are doing with their Flyball training. I will always shop here over any other pet supply store.

This is how a business needs to be run. Friendly helpful staff that feel like you’ve know them forever. Reasonable prices, excellent products but most of all– they know their business and are willing to share their expertise. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my dog’s food and supplements.

I was in search for a fly mask without ears and a nose for my horse all morning and have been to two other major stores in the valley and couldn’t find one. I was ecstatic to find that they had exactly what I was looking for here and didn’t have to settle for one with ears or to go through the hassle of ordering one online. I was all over the valley and they had what I wanted so close to my home. They guys greeted me as soon as I walked in and asked if I needed help. Thanks for being there Tempe Feed!

Love this place! Staff is very knowledgable, friendly and kind to my dog. They have a wide range of supplies, supplements and food. So grateful for their onsite with my allergy suffering dog.

I really love this place. I adopted baby chicks in January so have been a frequent shopper over the last six months. Every employee I’ve encountered was friendly, but more importantly, knowledgeable about chickens! I have questions every time I come in… Should I give my chicks electrolytes in their water? Should I go with organic or natural food? What kind of snacks can I give the birds? Why is my smallest bird not laying eggs? Without fail, they’ve always had answers and advice for me.
I love that this is a local business and even better — it’s family owned and operated! They are small but the store is jam packed with supplies for cats, dogs, chickens, horses, you name it! They sell real cat and dog food — you know, the kind with protein and ingredients you recognize, not just animal by-​products and corn meal. In my opinion, pets are part of the family and deserve to eat real food so it’s worth the extra money.
The quality of the products and the helpfulness of the staff keep me coming back. Tempe Feed and Tack is 1,000 times better than any Petco or Petsmart. While they may not offer as many products, you’ll find all the essentials here.
PS — Recently they started carrying CHICKEN HARNESSES so I can walk my chickens. Haven’t purchased one yet but seriously considering it! ;)

I always come here to get my cat food because they have the best prices for really great food. Anything you purchase is gunna be the right, wholesome food for your cat or dog… grain free and the first ingredient will be protein. The people there are always helpful and friendly and they are knowledgeable. They’ll answer your questions and give you the best advice to their knowledge on pet food and pet health in general. And it’s a local joint. Nothin but good.

I just left the store’, this place is small but has everything a pet owner needs for a happy pet! Arthur was very knowledgeable and helpful with finding the right choice in dog food. I will be back!

Excellent store! Small, but not lacking in the essentials. I went in to get dog dewormer and the employee Devon knew his stuff, he recommended a larger bottle of a medication labeled for goats, but was the same active ingredient as the much higher priced and smaller doses labeled for dogs. This saved me $ 20+ and also gave me enough for another treatment down the road.
They have only the highest quality of foods, treats, and accessories for dogs but clearly cater to all sorts of animals.

My wife and I went to the Tempe Art festival with with our 1 year old dog. As soon as we got there we could tell that he could not take the heat on paws. We googled the closest pet store. Tack and feed was the closet one. When we got there we found them very friendly and helpful. I will be going back when I need more pet supplies.

Hands down my favorite place to go to get my pet supplies. The customer service here is top notch. They are all super sweet, helpful, knowledgable (have given great advice on the differences in products and my pets sensitivities with diet) and always carry my dog food to the car for me. I have never left without a smile — a sharp contrast to when I have on the rare occasion had to go to Pet Club for late hour shopping (bored teenagers that usually could care less about the customer) — I usually leave there a tad irritated. Anyways, I highly recommend this place, and love supporting this wonderful local, family business!

Everything here is great: customer service, parking, healthy brands, accessories, and more. Stop going to Petsmart now and start going there. You will not be disappointed.

I notice that most of the ratings are five stars, and I was torn between four and five. Still, I wouldn’t say this awesome store is as good as it gets, please forgive me.
I really enjoy coming to this place. My mother has several chickens (as pets) and I sometimes need to pick up some feed for her. This place is pretty good in my book. It has a variety of natural and organic chicken feed and comes in different packaging sizes. The family that runs this place has always been helpful when I drop by. They ask what I might be looking into and quickly point me in the right direction.
The shop is pretty small and is pretty crowded (though it’s clean) with stuff and that is a good thing in my opinion. I get the feeling they want people in and out (having 20 people mill around would be just too crowded). They ask what you need, ask if you have any questions, and give me what I came for. One of the reasons I like this place is that everyone seems to be goal oriented and time conscious.
One other thing. The guys here, actually carry the feed to my car every time. Awesome.

Tempe Feed and Tack is the only place I will get food for my dog! I have been coming here since my dog was about 3 months old, so about a year now. The owners, Robin and Arthur, absolutely love my dog! Especially Robin. And even her kids know who my dog is and they love him just as much. And her kids are so amazing as well. They’re all so sweet. They remember us every time we come in and Robin is always giving my dog treats and she is just so kind. I would highly recommend this place! Robin is so knowledgeable whenever I have any questions about my dog (and since I was a first time dog owner, I needed a LOT of help). I love Tempe Feed & Tack and this will always be where I buy anything for my dog!

I’m just starting this review thing and I just adopted a dog two months ago. I went into Tempe feed with a very limited anxious knowledge of what I needed for my pit-​mix puppy.
The woman that helped me was so extremely helpful. She gave me the advice I needed and gave me price breakdown without being sales pushy at all. I left the place after meeting the entire family that worked there and it felt like my Cheers for the doggy world.
I work in customer service and I appreciate it when I get the level of service I expect from myself and my employees. I thank these guys and would recommend them to anyone!

This is my dog’s favorite place to go! That is the highest praise I can give, really. Food I feel good feeding my pets at a great price. Can’t say enough good stuff about this place and all the people.
Everyone is so helpful, kind, and interested in what my pets need — not to mention all the affection they are showered with upon arrival. The Tempe Feed and Tack folks know everything about all the products. When I added my latest four-​legged family member, they were integral in helping him get healthy. Poor little guy was all skin and bones and dehydrated, but their stellar recommendations had him looking like a normal dog in no time.
Super bonus: if I save the bar codes from my pups’ food, I can earn a free bag! Not all brands do this, but they will surely mention if the food you purchase participates.

Don’t go anywhere else for dog food. This is a family owned business and they’re extremely knowledgeable. You’re getting top-​of-​the-​line dog food here. PetSmart or any big chain stores will not have quality food for your pets.
I recently transitioned my dog from a grain dog food to a grain free, and they gave me samples of my pup’s old food to ease him onto the new brand. P. S. He frickin LOVES the new stuff.
