Tempe Mission Palms Hotel

Okay this Hotel is great. The staff is super friendly. My only complaint is the WIFI is horrible! It is just off Mill street so it can get noisy. Not a big deal. Air traffic is a loud but it’s like that all over town

For a higher price point hotel, this place is not great. The «high speed internet» NEVER works. The linens felt dirty with rocks when used for the first time. The restaurant is nothing special. It’s only good for its convenient location to the ASU stadium and Mill Ave. Not impressive.

We had the most amazing wedding here! Every employee treated us as if we were important to them and I couldn’t have dreamed of doing it without Kellie Mendoza, Abraham Hernandez and my dear friend Jack Minetti for suggesting we absolutely had to have it here. Thanks everyone!
If you are considering having a wedding here, I hope this convinces you and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Good:
This is a great hotel for a conference. Nice conference rooms, chairs, etc. Courtyard is gorgeous and has small snack buildings that can be reserved for your group. Staff services the groups very well. Courtyard grounds and conference area is very nice.
Meh:
The rooms are ok — old style hotel rooms that have been updated with mid-​grade trendy stuff like most have recently. Nice enough and clean but things like yellowed phones from the 1980s with knotted cords still linger. Details like this might have changed my overall opinion. The hotel room floors of the hotel are stale and old as well. Completely fine but not what I’d call high end by any stretch. Service is well mannered but sometimes confused and slow to respond. Everything near here is college bar stuff, so if you’re looking for a nice place to eat its going to be a cab ride away.

Easter Sunday bruch was terrible. The food was mediocre at best, and for $ 50 a head, I was expecting something a little more than «Golden Corral» for my money. We waited half an hour beyond our reservation time, and our table was set or 12 instead of 8… awkward…

I stayed during Spring Training 2016. I had the best stay here. The staff were courteous, the valet parking was included, all the windows faced the beautiful courtyard, it was a quiet and modern hotel! I would book another stay.
Side Note: after a night of bar hopping down Mill Ave you can forget the Über .its literally across the street from Rooftop Patio& Lounge!

Had a wonderful experience coming here for spring training! While checking in we received complimentary Valet and the front desk gave us a packet of all the games playing that weekend including directions. Very helpful! The costumer service at this hotel is outstanding! Thank you so much for our stay!

Great location in Tempe. Walking distance to all the popular restaurants and bars. Quiet even though there is a lot of action on the streets nearby. The pool and hot tub are excellent.

Came here for brunch on a warm Sunday morning. Dining in the inner courtyard was a truly pleasant experience. The Buffet was well-​stocked with fruits, pastries and all the breakfast usuals. Omelet bar? Check. Biscuits and gravy? Back three times. Okay, so I was a glutton. But it was delicious and besides, somebody else was paying.
After breakfast, you can scoot right over to the A Mountain trail and hike to the top for a panoramic view of the city, and a chance to work off those three plates of biscuits and gravy. nom.

Beautiful historic hotel!!! The palm trees are amazing, at night they are all lit up with lights, really beautiful. My room was comfortable and great water pressure in the shower. The lobby is gorgeous and they have a free kiosk to print boarding passes. Free shuttle to/​from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. Bell hop/​valet attendants are friendly and greet you. Would definitely stay here again soon.

From the very first day that my daughter and fiancé chose Tempe mission palms for their wedding reception, I felt that they had made the right choice. The location was perfect for all of their out of town guests, so close to mill ave and the nightlife ! From Kellie Mendoza to Shay at the front desk, treated every single guest wonderfully. Sandy Silva booked the block of rooms and even upgraded the mob and fob’s room. Nice surprise!
We checked in loaded down with all sorts of reception décor. Kellie met us and assured us that she would put out everything and set up the room. Well the room was exactly as my daughter had hoped ! Kellie did an amazing job. We could not have been happier! If you are on the fence about choosing TMP for a wedding reception, please take my word for it, they know how to do a reception! Kellie is simply the best!
Speaking of the best, the overwhelming comments were about how excellent the dinners were. We chose the two entrée plated option with two passed appetizers. The chicken empanadas were divine, spring rolls so light and tasty. The salad was the poached pear, mixed greens and goats cheese, truly delicious ! The citrus grilled salmon melted in your mouth. The MOG leaned over and whispered, «I have never had such a great meal at a wedding!»
The beef tenderloin served on goat cheese mashed potatoes was wonderful. Kudos to the chef, who by the way came out at the initial tasting appt. and offered to tweak the items we tasted ! Ahhhhmazing. The bride and groom did not want a cake (which is included in the price!) so TMP accommodated their request to do an ice cream bar ! So fun!
I really could go on and on, but it’s just the post wedding high and that is totally due to the incredible staff at Tempe mission palms who made my daughter’s wedding, the best ever! Thank you !

I cannot say enough about the OUTSTANDING customer service we received from TMP for our daughter’s Wedding Weekend! First, we had 27 rooms booked at a reasonable rate, and all the guests were pleased with their accommodations. Rooms were quiet and clean, and the a/​c worked like a champ by all accounts (smile)! Next, the entire staff were friendly and professional, from housekeeping and valet, to servers and front desk. Lastly, Kellie Mendoza hit a Grand Slam on managing/​coordinating the wedding! She was patient, kind and accommodating — and the reception was perfect! Thank you, TMP, for making one of the most important weekends of our lives so memorable!

We were originally booked in a newer hotel further out from town and my son persuaded us to stay here because of it’s central location. We valeted our car and were able to walk everywhere. I was surprised to learn they were dog friendly and charged only an additional $ 25. I was in a cast so we had a handicapped bathroom. The vibe is very friendly as people were visiting from all over the country. In the evenings we sat out in the courtyard and chatted with couples and families down by the fireplace. Staff was attentive, friendly, efficient, and we will stay here the next time we visit.

I love the location of this place! If you want to sleep it’s a problem. The bars are blasting such loud music it shakes the walls! I called the manager at midnight and they said they would have to call the police to come to our room to listen to see if it’s too loud for the noise ordinance. They said it would be off by 2am or they could bring us earplugs! The manager definitely does not care about the customers and may be afraid of confronting the bar?! I stayed at Tempe Marriott at the buttes last night and it blows this place away! If you are 21 years old though, this place would be awesome.

I love the location of this hotel! It is right downtown where all the action is. It is a great place to host a conference. They have nice large conference rooms, as well as smaller ones for break out sessions. Mints and water are on the tables. The best part of attending a conference is the snack shack! They can easily host two large conferences simultaneously.
The hotel is also pet friendly.
The pool was under construction the last time I was there. Apparently, you could use a nearby hotel’s pool but I did not find that out until it was too late. It would have been nice to know at check in. The pool does have cabanas and it’s near the gym. There is a poolside bar too.
I love how the hotel staff’s name tags have their names along with where they are from. Michigan was representing. Also, they let me extend my check out on many occasions pro bono. Granted, I was with two dogs and a nursing baby.
The rooms are nice. A big comfy bed, desk, wifi, flat screen, alarm clock radio with i-​phone/​pad/​pod synching, nice sitting chairs. Nice roomy bathrooms too.
After your day you can hit their restaurant or bar. Or if you are feeling adventurous explore downtown, hop the light rail to Phoenix, climb «A» mountain.
During, a recent babywearing conference, the hotel even provided a conference room for breastfeeding and pumping.
But, they really knocked my socks off during my last visit. The concierge helped us get to our room by walking our dogs for us. We had our hands full with all our baby gear– we looked like we were opening a Buy Buy Baby with all that we packed. Then she sent us a bottle of wine, mineral water, chocolate covered strawberries, a cheese plate, a chartecurie plate and handwritten note thanking us for sharing our family with her. That was five star all the way.

The hotel itself is very dated, and the rooms are in much need of a renovation. It looks as though they tried to do some touch ups, but they need much more. The hallways are also very muggy and smelly.
The staff is friendly, but the service was terrible.
Now, on the conference side. If it was not for this side of it, they would get 2 stars. The conference staff was great. They kept us fed and kept this amazing snack filled with awesome treats. Every meal we had was really high quality and great variety.

This hotel played host to an ASU graduate school orientation. While attending that orientation, I was given a room and breakfast buffet coupons. The room, buffet, and amenities were quite nice. So was the proximity to ASU campus and access to Mill Ave nightlife.
One issue we had was that we could hear people partying at the bars nearby until 2am. In retrospect, we should have said something after the first night, but we were able to ignore it on the second. If we were’t so tired, it probably would have annoyed the heck out of us. If you do stay here, make sure to take a look out your window and see what you’re facing.
The breakfast buffet was above average good. Not your basic continental buffet, there’s a full on omelette bar, scramby eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit, cereal, breads, etc. The seating area is pretty nice too, and the wait staff is friendly and quick to refill coffee and drinks.
Most of my time was spent in the conference rooms. These were massive and well equipped for the 100+ students in my class. Given the location to the airport and ASU, this hotel a top venue choice for a company outing or seminar.

and it seemed perfect being so close to shopping, restaurants and bars. Some of the reviews before I went made me think it was going to be really nice from the outside and really outdated inside but that wasn’t the case. The lobby was very nice along with Harry’s bar & grill, the courtyard with the fountains were nice and the rooms were fantastic. There was no «80’s» feel at all, the rooms were very modern, chic and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the duvet and the sheets were really comfy also.
The staff at the hotel were also very friendly and helpful. I was there by myself for work so they were nice enough to recommend places for me for food and entertainment in the area. Now with school being out I did get an extremely good deal on this hotel, I had a rate of $ 77 and they do have the $ 15 resort fee but every hotel nowadays has that. Parking is included which is a good thing, valet is gratuity only and there’s plenty of spots in the back also. I’m not sure how much this hotel is when schools in, I imagine a lot higher as it really is in a perfect location.
The only negative for me was that the gym had no air conditioning. It was 111 when I was there last week, I was in their gym for 15 minutes and couldn’t bare the heat. I didn’t end up working out the other 2 days due to that and I was a little disappointed about that.

I was not ready to leave, beautiful, gorgeous hotel right in between all the fun in Tempe. A fountain right in the middle with open doors into the lobby, the friendliest concierge to tell you all there is do in town. The pool was beautiful, filled with people catching some rays. A bar is there too and they have the best mojitos.
The rooms are large and updated with modern furniture and bathroom style. A bit more on the expensive side, but worth every penny.
