I continue to be very satisfied with the experience I am having at Valley medical weight control. I am down about 15 pounds. Can’t argue with that.

Dr. Weiller and the staff on McClintock are AWESOME! Dr. Weiller personally inspired me and helped me to WALK BACK THE FAT. I, like so many others that have found this place, was facing hypertension and high cholesterol issues. Today, I am 36 pounds lighter than I was just in FALL of 2015. I look like I did in college. No more hypertension, no «usual bloating» after eating – (this had sadly become my norm, no matter WHAT I ate). Not only have I learned HOW and WHAT to eat and how my body will respond to it, but I have also learned the art of burning more calories than I take in (including my resting metabolic burn). The elliptical machine is my GOOD friend now — before, we were only acquaintances. I credit my GOOD LIFESTYLE CHANGES in great part, to the guidance from the good folk at Valley Medical Weight Control center. Like I said, I’m 36 pounds down and can only afford to lose little more. Please believe — Spring 2016 is going to be dangerous. Bathing suits and heels will be in play thanks to #VMWC. Knowledge and Support is the REAL DEAL. Get back to you! Overall staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I look forward to my weigh in’s considering I’ve lost over 30lbs with you guys. I do absolutely dread coming to this clinic in Tempe due to the very long wait times. There has been times I have waited for almost an hr. When I am the only person to be seen I’ve waited 30mins which is ridiculous. During that time I was the only patient in the waiting area and noticed that one of the reason for my long wait time was the assistant’s were in each other’s room talking and laughing like they didn’t have work to be done. This kind of behavior happens far to often. Its unprofessional and because of this I am starting to look elsewhere for a similar practice.

I contacted them before purchasing a groupon to see exactly what it included. I had been injured and unable to workout. I ate out of boredom. I needed help getting my appetite under control. I inquired about phentermine. Unfortunately once I was there and paid for the groupon I was told I could not receive it because I was 3 pounds under. Then the doctor handed me a sheet to «HELP» my diet… which wasn’t the problem. It was that I was hungry ALL THE TIME. They were allowed to give me Phen tabs and some other stuff which I am still unclear EXACTLY WHAT THESE ITEMS ARE. I have checked the Internet and inquired about them to my doc. Nobody knows what this medication really is. Bottom line I paid for nothing. I went to my primary care physician whom was able to give me the script for 3 months, and I could make an appointment. Maybe going in weekly holds people accountable, but it’s a waste of time. Good luck if your going here

I have a hypothyroid problem, I thought I could never lose weight. 3 months later and 20 pounds thinner while eating regular food, just less. This was just the kickstart I needed.

I’ve been here before in February 2015. I did lose weight but due to my budget was unable to continue the program. I received a postcard giving me a great deal so I decided to take it. I got the six fat burning shots and a week free for $ 70. I’m not giving up!

This place is Awesome, so convient. In and out. Longest wait time was 20 minutes maxx. Best price In all of phx. And the «no commitment» makes it that much more realistic. Love love love this place — 10lb weight loss in 2 weeks

Found this place via Living Social and believe me I am so glad I did! I’ve tried a million different ways to get and *keep* weight off since I quit smoking 6 years ago. This program worked and continues to work for me. The personal attention they give each and every client is well worth the 28 bucks a week. As long as I am working the program they set out I lose weight every week and if I fall off they’re always there with an encouraging word and help me back on track.
The only tip is they only take walk ins so be prepared to wait. But I can’t fault them for being so busy because they’re too awesome!

I really wanted to love this place being I’ve had great success in the past with a weight loss program. Maybe my past place spoiled me being they were very encouraging and got to know everyone by name. They took before and after pictures, you took a physical with blood work and they even did your total body measurements as to why I think it was better success.
I can say the staff are friendly yet the service is very slow! I do feel the price overall is fair but after 5– 6 weeks of waiting more than 30 minutes just does not do it for me.
How to improve, either have more staff on during the rush hours like lunch time or schedule breaks after your big rush times. Staff do need their break. I understand we all live busy life’s but maybe taking new patients during certain hours and have staff just for that.
I really want keep going to this place but something must change with the long wait times.

Cost is excellent for the medication, supplements, B12 shot you receive every week around $ 26. Also in the last two weeks I have lost 10lbs. There is no appointments. There is also more helpful medication just in case you have trouble losing but be ready to stay by a bathroom since you drink a lot of water and eat very little cause you don’t feel hungry.

I have been on the diet roller coaster most of my life, all my adult life, anyways. There are good weight loss clinics and then this place.
Calling this a medical clinic is scary.
I did all the registration and then was (within a reasonable amount of time) called to the back.
The tech checked my blood pressure and weight. Then it was time to see the dr. What doctor, she’s a P.A., not a physician!
She was ready to put me on a 750 calorie a day diet. No real physical, blood work, nothing. I walked out with a week’s worth of phentermine, a syringe of vitamin B to inject a week later…
Bottom line, if you’re serious about losing weight, don’t waste your money or time with this seemingly fly-​by-​night «clinic». See a real bariatric doctor that takes time to know your body.

Great service, the people are helpful and friendly, they answered all my questions and had useful advice to help with my program. I recommend this place if you are serious about changing your life and getting healthy and fit.

If you are the type of individual that needs personal nutrition coaching and/​or feel you need assistance with learning how to follow a healthy diet, you may want to look elsewhere because this place does not specialize in this. I feel this clinic is perfect for people who know what they need to do to get healthier, but just need that extra kick. In my case, I found paying for something and having to weigh in every week held me accountable, and the appetite control meds and fat burner pills helped greatly in keeping my cravings at bay and gave me the energy boost to workout during the first two weeks of my «get back in shape» mission. The first two weeks are always the hardest :)
This clinic does not take appointments, so it can get busy first thing in the morning, at lunch, and around closing time. If you are a first-​timer, you can expect to be there for about an hour, although the service itself is done in 10 – 15 minutes. They do not process insurance, but are very reasonably priced (about $ 30/​week for the basic package). You can expect to see a medical technician who will take your vitals and administer the vitamin B shot (yep, gotta drop those drawers!). Next, you will see the Doc (a naturopath) for about 5 – 10 minutes to answer your questions in addition to providing you with a water pill, a weeks’ worth of appetite suppressants, carb/​sugar craving control pills and fat burner pills. She will also give you a sheet outlining a sample meal plan that you can follow — nothing special or customized… you can find something similar on the internet. Then… you’re done. Simple as that. You pay the receptionist your fee and you are on your way.
After a few visits, you will only need to see the medical technician for your shot and will pick up your meds from the receptionist upon check-​out. Regulars usually do not see the doc unless they request to do so. Personally, this place helped me get in gear and I would recommend them to anyone that has the knowledge and self-​discipline to succeed. You have to follow healthy eating habits and work out in combination with the meds to see and feel the difference. The pills alone will not get you to your goal.
VMWC also offers just the B-​shots for those that are only interested in that, and they have various weight-​loss and non-​weightloss/​general supplement specials from time to time. I have always did the basic weekly weight loss deal and never felt pressured to do anything more. The staff has always been very friendly and the office is very basic with no frills, but clean.

Friendly staff, reasonably priced, and in a convenient location. Seems like they are pretty busy, I went in on a Saturday morning. If you are looking for appetite suppressors, note that you will not be given any unless you have a BMI higher than 27.

I blindly purchased a very reasonably priced Groupon for a four week weight loss program here and was wondering what the catch would be. There wasn’t one! I couldn’t have been more impressed with the courteous and prompt receptionist, medical assistants, and doctors. Everyone is really nice and I never have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen.
After my four week Groupon expired I was able to continue the program for a small weekly fee that includes supplements and a B-​12 injection. I appreciate that it also holds me accountable with the weekly weigh-​ins. Since I started my program I’ve lost about 10 pounds!
I had researched other supervised weight loss places in the Valley but was shocked by the outrageous prices they charge. Those places take advantage of people’s desperation to lose weight. I don’t get that impression from Valley Medical at all and I will continue to make weekly visits until I reach my goal.

As a vegan and health freak I am very conscious about what vitamins I get. After my general doctor told me I am borderline anemic due to a vitamin b-​12 deficiency I decided to check out the b-​12 shots at valley medical. I’m a huge fan– they get you in and out quickly if you are there for just shots and the shots are reasonably priced. I’m moving away in August and I’m really really going to miss my weekly b-​12 energy pick-​me-​up!

Want vitamin b12 or b1? get them at your local walmart, cheaper! It is just funny that reviews for this place keep being filtered and after some time the fake Unilocalers show up, again and again. I went there intrigued by some fat-​loss injections. Years ago I had a little help to drop some pounds of my tights in a different country.
Over here there is no doctor that sits with you. I was attended by a girl (medical assistants they say) that only introduced me to the DEALS! I tried the lipotronic injections, and she said first it had to be applied every 2 days. I couldn’t complete the SEVEN I purchased for work issues. After 3 months I went back to use the FOUR I had left, and surprise… I have left only 3 and when I told her I really didn’t see much difference using the first 3 ones, she emphasized (NOW) that they have to be used once a week and after 4 weeks you get to see the KICK, and completing my 3erd she can offer me a new deal.
Naaaaaah! I’ll keep kicking with my eating habit and work out.

I just started going here about a week ago. It was great, and I got in right away. I was also able to get a free B-​12 injection with my first visit. I will definitely be back!
