Overall (³⁄₅): If you’re looking for a traditional Seventh-​day Adventist church with diverse nationalities and ages represented in the congregation, you might want to check this church out! The choir singing with the hymns helped create the traditional feeling of an SDA church. The attendance is higher than the SDA churches around it.
Welcomeness: When I entered, I was greeted with a welcoming smile and given a bulletin.
Environment/​The Building: The building of this Seventh-​day Adventist church has brick walls with large windows that allow natural light to enter the sanctuary. Additional windows are placed high into the pointed wooden ceiling of the sanctuary. It is set up as a traditional SDA church and the pews on this Sabbath were 40% filled with the congregation. The church incorporates great use of audio and visual for multimedia to enhance the service.
Atmosphere in church /​The Feel: The natural light helped create a comfortable space and the window stains behind the stage added to the aesthetics. The sanctuary is longer than wide which if you sit in the back can feel far from the front.

Sermon: SDA Head Pastor Ben preached a sermon based on salvation and Christ Centered Love. His presentation delivery has a gentle tone throughout his sermon. At times, it can feel very «preachy» in the sense of correcting wrongful behavior.

Service: It began with singing which was great to enter in, however the joyous singing was followed by announcements which disrupted the energy that was created, making the service feel abrupt and compartmentalized. The service emphasized on saving souls which, for someone familiar with this position, might feel encouraging, however, for someone not affiliated with the church, might feel slightly of a superior complex tone.

Another great church. God is so good, he send his angels to guide us to where He is. They have an amazing pot luck. Great food after church, always. Really good activities for kids.

Always love coming to this church. They always make you feel welcome and a part of the family. Friday night «converge» is a must. One of the best vesper services I’ve been to. Love helping out w/​praise and worship and the de la Paz family is super awesome! #istealpraisesongs

I have been to many – and I mean MANY – Seventh-​Day Adventist Churches on the West Coast of the United States and this is one of the best, if not, they best in the Los Angeles/​San Gabriel Valley area and I’ll tell you why.
First, it’s one of the largest Adventist churches in the area both in membership and actual attendance. Every Saturday’s main church service at 11am tends to be well attendended to almost full capacity. If there is a special program going on one Saturday, you will definitely want to get here early! Not to say that this church is «too crowded and I hate crowds,» but it’s definitely an alive and thriving church.
Another thing is that the diversity is beautiful. Every fall around September/​October, they have an International Festival and Parade of the Nations where all nations represented amongst the congregation are able to display their ethnic culture through their attire and cultural foods. This church has a largely diverse congregation having large groups of indonesians, filipinos, caucasians, latinos, and the list goes on…
Another item to point out that I like about this church is that you will not get bored or feel out of place. This church has so many ministries it’s incredible! I’ve never seen an Adventist Church in the area with so many alive and thriving ministries. Break these ministries down and there are an uncountable amount of events and activities spread throughout the week from the young people (primary, high school, and college) to the senior citizens (A.K.A the «young at heart» ;).
The youth is VERY active here. There is a HUGE number of little kids in the kindergarten/​primary age group and the juniors are always feeding an ever-​growing, power event-​hosting high school & collegiate-​age ministry program. From the youth praise & worship band to nature outings, rallies, and retreats, the list goes on for the young people here.
This church is a beautiful campus and there is always plenty of parking. There is a vegetarian potluck luncheon after the main church service every Saturday that everyone is always welcomed at. Don’t worry, there is a team-​schedule rotation that is assigned each week so don’t worry about feeling bad if you didn’t bring something (especially as a guest!)
I’ve already said so much but you can already see that I think this church is amazing and every time I go there, the experience gets better and better.
Don’t hesitate to visit this church! God is definitely present here!

Pastor John Aitken is a spectacular speaker. He is impressive, moving, and inspiring. Best of all, his sermons are remarkable because they are very entertaining, with some pop culture references! With sermon names like «Jaws, Part 1 and Part 2», «The Ancient Tale of the Princess Bride», and «So, Why Are We Here Anyway?» you’ll be back week after week.
The Temple City Seventh Day Adventist Church is a beautiful church. The landscaping is amazing with its clean cut green lawns and beautiful rose bushes, and the brick buildings of the church are very pleasant to the eye. The interior of the church is breathtaking. The remarkably high ceilings are framed by beautiful wood beams that have plenty of windows that let in an abundance of natural light.
