This man, chuck was nice at the beginning. I bought a gun from, sportsmans outdoor superstore and he received the gun, well they sent a gun that was not on the doj roster. I now will pay 75.00 to send it back and he will not send the gun back until i give him 110.00(a demand, ransom).he has to pay nothing for shipping and we never did any paperwork, nor signed any agreement. the gun is 353.00. I will have to pay a total of 185.00 and I will receive 168.00 and i will not even receive my
would be nice if this man wasn’t cold hearted, it would be nice for people to be nice for once. The people at «Buds gunshop» stated that they never heard of any“FFL“CHARGING to send back a gun, because all return shipping is paid by me, to the
local police even agreed that it should have never been shipped if it wasn’t on the «DOJ» roster… It is not fair but what someone does to someone else for selfish reasons will always reap what they sow.

Great shop with friendly, knowledgible staff. I bought a crate of misurp ammo at a very reasonable price. I stop in regularly as their excellent stock of firearms changes. Highly recommended.

An amazing experience!!! My husband and I went into the Firing Pin to sell a gun of sentimental value which belonged to his mom. Unfortunately, she had passed away months before and needed the cash to help cover unresolved bills. Chuck the owner saw the look on my husbands face knowing it was hard for him to sell it, bought the gun. My husband would from time to time talk about this gun and say how he would love to have it back.
Months later, I called chuck, to surprise my husband for his birthday, to see if there was any chance that he still might have this gun. To my amazement and joy, he said, «Absolutely, I saw the look in Ej’s eyes when he came in that day and I knew it was going straight in my safe.» I couldn’t believe my ears!!!
I can’t tell you how that made me feel. I was soo thankful and so impressed by this man that cared more about my husbands feelings than to make a buck!!! When my husband finally received the gun back, he literally broke down in tears of joy.
Thank you Chuck for making my husband so happy and for having a big heart, and exhibiting such care and compassion.

Love this place! Great customer service, knowledge is unmatched and basically they’ll get you what the other guys can’t! Their mantra is «old fashion gun store» and it’s spot on.

Quick service, reasonable prices, not the deepest in-​store selection, but willing to order for you whatever you want so long as it’s kosher here in Commiefornia. Friendly honest staff makes all the difference in the world nowadays, and these guys provide excellent customer service.

I didn’t know this place even existed until recently and what a treasure it is. The store is just basically an office with a couple glass counters with handguns and a rack of rifles. They still have as much inventory as many much larger stores.
I originally went here to special order a firearm, but the warm service and comfortable family atmosphere will keep me coming back.
Make sure to stop by Saturday afternoon since they are usually hanging out BBQing.

Recently bought a rifle from Chuck and Mark; later found out the magazine was not the one that comes with the firearm and in fact replaced with a Magpul PMAG10… Confirmed with manufacturer and traced by serial number that it was shipped out with the original manufacturer’s magazine and NOT the PMAG. Called back but response was «sorry, we do not check the magazines when we receive them»…

if frequenting this place, be wary of this fat kid know-​it-​all named david. he is intrusive and has a comment for anything and everything as he has no qualifications to be in the position to talk down to others. this guy claims to have gone to csudh but has no degree, claims to have had a strength and conditioning certification but can’t even afford his own gym membership and brags about having an imaginary supercar. an uneducated idiot that insults and harasses other ppl is what he is, it is what’s called being a half-​stepper aka LOSER. if i ever see him approaching me again, he’ll be answering to the police

Recently did a Out of State transfer from here; Chuck and company are down to earth and noble men. Especially when they answered my call when confirming my shipment came as «yeah it shot high, close to the right» lol, if any avid shooter knows, these guys have a sense of humor. Though honestly I didn’t know how to react lol
All in all, did my DROS in record time (fastest by far) and great to talk to. Come here with confidence guys, these types of store fronts don’t exist anymore.

I needed a gunsmith to check out my Ruger Mini 30 barrel. I found The Firing Pin here on Unilocal.It was the closest and had excellent reviews. I’m glad I did. Well here they took care of me. Very friendly people. I met the owner, Chuck and gunsmith, Mark. They we’re very informative and helpful. I will definitely go back here.

I needed a rail and hand grip replaced on my S&W M&P 15 Piston System AR. I decided to take it to a gun shop I’d previously visited in Alhambra. As soon as I asked if this could be done I was told that they were in the process of moving and would not be able to help me. «Try us in about 2 weeks» Needless to say it was extremely disappointing. 2 Weeks? for something that they could have handled in 10 minutes tops? With that said I gave Unilocal a try and found The Firing Pin, which wasn’t too far so I decided to take a trip down there. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by Chuck and another gentleman, I believe his name was Mark. I explained what I needed and they quickly said NO PROBLEM. They just so happened to be BBQ’n and offered me some BBQ and a cool beverage as I waited. About 10 minutes later my AR was good to go, they even oiled it up for me. These guys were both extremely knowledgeable and very down to earth. Can’t say enough about my experience here. 5 STARS hands down!!!

I have been a gun owner for over 30 years and often dealt with smaller shops and their owners. There is a culture within the arena of shop owners and gun owners. Chuck loves to develop relationships with his customers, it’s the choice of the customer whether or not he/​she wants to build a relationship with Chuck. Chuck has one of the lowest prices for transfer fees. His knowledge of weapons is greater than most folks which will save you money and headaches.

I love having my firearms shipped/​registered and worked on by Chuck. He is the friendliest guy i know. everytime i go i have a great time, sometimes listening to his ‘nam stories and what not. I strongly recommend this place for your gun purchases, DROS and gunsmithing.

Chuck at The Firing Pin is a great guy. He is a straight shooter (pun intended) you can take his word when he gives it to you. He takes the time to know his customers and their interests and has a great network he draws from. The shop is not a boutique but they take care of business. Chuck worked as a transfer FFL for an out of state purchase I made and he made the process as painless as conceivable.

Talk to chuck. No literally, ask for Chuck — really cool guy. Be prepared to spend a minimum of 1 hr just shooting (pun definitely intended) the shit with him about guns, ammo, war or food.
Awesome dude. Really down to earth. Awesome prices on pretty much anything.
I was thinking about buying a gun online, but decided to pull the trigger and buy from chuck after numerous conversations with chuck. He was able to beat online prices on a Glock 19C.
I had doubts about the 19C but chuck promised me I’d like it, and that he was right about. Next up is a FN Five-​Seven.
