Went to breakfast buffet on Sunday. They offer scrambled eggs with and without chese, sausage paddies, sausage links, bacon, grits with and without cheese„ biscuits and gravy, pancakes, french toast, french toast sticks, and a little fruit. Sausages tasted a bit dry and old. Grits and eggs were good, but nothing great. Selection: they had the basics but much less than you would find at golden corral. Service was good(ie gave us drinks timely and left the check when gave us the drinks initially). Price a bit high for the quality/quantity at $ 25 for 2. Not very crowded(I like uncrowded places, but when there’s a reason they aren’t crowded…)

The food here is better quality the a chain buffet like Golden Corral but the selection is also much more limited. So there is some sacrifice for quality over quantity. Salad and fruits were pretty fresh with the exception of strawberries which looked like it was ready to be jammed. Service was fast but not very attentive. I mostly had ribs which were definitely good for a buffet and chicken which was dry. Mac and cheese was pretty good too. $ 12.95 for a Sunday brunch. Also available to go.(3.8÷5)

Food was delicious! Service a little slow with clearing dirty plates and it was slow at the time.

I’ve eaten here twice(breakfast and dinner times) with my husband and both times were fairly disappointing. Coming from a big southern family, it’s nice to see a southern buffet. However, the quality is not there in the least. Everything taste the same. It’s heavy with salt and pepper. The dining room is dark with wood paneling and inadequate lighting. The tables were kinda sticky even though I had just watched the hostess wipe it off. There was standing water on the floor by the ice cream/desserts area both times I was there(with no appropriate ‘caution’ signage). They also have many health code violations…

Not as good as I remember from a few years back, but food was ok. Not going out of the way to eat there, but if you are craving some basic bbq it’s ok. Cheap, $ 15 for dinner with 2 draft beers. All servers were very nice.

Terrible quality of food. Just plain nasty. We won’t be back and I’d suggest not to waste your money on the crummiest food I’ve had out in a very long time.

Met two friends for lunch. Veggies were great, my favorite are the collard greens. Close second is the green beans. Ribs were good, not great. Chicken was good, but had an odd dirty taste . Servers keep your drinks full. Building is a total dump. Interior has an odd dirty smell.

It seems like they went to the grocery store and got Banquet Dinners for their buffet. Everything has pepper to spice up the blandness of the food. So mad I wasted my $ 12 here.

First timer! Real down home cook’n! The breakfast buffett has all you could want. Good food. I will return to Lupton’s when I am in town again for both breakfast and lunch, I hear the BBQ and the fish are great! We have nothing like this where I live.

The place is a BBQ buffet, what else do you want to know? Honestly, there are quite a few items at this buffet. The quality isn’t top tier, but this place is about quantity.

6 stars. This place is a must. The idea of BBQ buffet is a great start. These guys grow their own stuff & serve it & you can tell. Deserts are great. Overall awesome!

This is a very interesting place to eat at. Not your normal buffet. First of all you pay after which I think is kind of cool cuz you just walk in and start eating. They have soft sever and scooped ice cream there which is another plus. To finish it off this place had lots of meat, big plus. Also sweet tea is free and the servers are nice. :) What I don’t like is the weird trashy smells near some the corner of the buffet. Some of the trays look a little nasty and just messy in general which makes the food look unappetizing. And with any place that makes food in bulk you run the risk of over and undercooking some food, and I definetly got some over cooked food. The tables here are clear of crumbs and stuff but still feel dirty and sticky. The walls and floor look pretty dirty. This place just didn’t feel clean. If you don’t mind that and you like meat then this place is great for you, but if you do care than you may not like this place as much. All in all I feel like this place is a hit or miss for people. You may really like it and some may not like it that much, I just happen to not like it that much.

New to the area… today was my first time at this restaurant and it was very delicious… it was sea food Friday and it was great… good service too… out of all the food spot I have been to, this is the best one by far, not bad for $ 14 with tax… wide selection to choose from… love it!

When I’m craving BBQ, there is usually only one name on my lips, and that’s LUPTON’S. Why? Because it’s a buffet and because it’s GOOD. There is almost nothing better than the way they do their ribs. Sometimes their sides are .meh. but if there’s cabbage on the menu, I am a –happy– girl. This is an excellent place to go after Faire or any time I’m on that end of town. And don’t forget, your Tea is free with your meal!

Awesome place for a southern weekend brunch; love the fried chicken, cheese grits, clam chowder and biscuits with gravy! Definitely give it a try!

Lupton’s is one of our go-to places when I visit my best friend in Tampa. We hadn’t be in awhile, so when she suggested going Sunday morning before I headed home I was all for it. Lupton’s is an all-you-can-eat buffet. Until 11:00 am on the weekend they serve breakfast and then they switch to brunch. What does brunch mean? That you can get breakfast AND bbq(plus ice cream, salad, soup, and a taco bar)! There is just something super awesome to me about being able to get eggs, cheese grits, and fried chicken all in one meal. Your cost includes a drink and their sweet tea is to die for. I love sweet tea(being from the south and all) but sometimes its so sweet that your teeth hurt. But Lupton’s has the tea to sugar ratio figured out and its spot on. Yum yum. This place is somewhere that if you aren’t from Tampa you would probably just drive by and not even think about stopping. But once you actually do you will be hooked. Once you get inside it isn’t anything fancy at all — just tables and booths that have probably been there since the place opened. They have all sorts of remote control planes hanging from the ceiling which is pretty cool. The staff is always very nice and you never have to worry about running out of something to drink. The buffet is always VERY clean and you will usually spot someone cleaning to make sure it stays that way. I always enjoy whatever I have to eat here but one of the best things on the breakfast/brunch buffet is their cheese grits. They are so smooth and creamy! I’m a huge fan of grits and these are tops in my book!

I am no big fan of buffets. Something about standing in line with a bunch of strangers and waiting my turn to dig into a pot that they picked through doesn’t appeal to me. Heat lamps over the food slowly and completely disintegrating any flavor that may have once been there. Not to mention the sneeze guard that is either too high or too low to protect anything and surely can’t protect you from dirty hands. I try to avoid buffets but have friends that love these places so I do go occasionally. My best experiences with buffets have been with Chinese food. This month, for the first time in a while, I have gone to not just one buffet but two. I went to Lupton’s for breakfast and a week or two later went to Golden Corral for lunch. I’ll talk about that in my next review. I would have to rate Lupton’s a too bad, so sad. The nightmare begins when you walk through the door. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating but all of their finesse can’t hide the fact that the place is dirty. It smells kind of musty too but you don’t notice if after you’ve been there for a while. Some of the food is passable, like the bacon and pancakes and french toast. If you like your eggs extra hard, you will love their eggs. They also had grits, and rolls and fruit. The sausage was way to fatty and greasy. Breakfast for two came to about $ 20.00 and for me a bad case of heartburn. When we were ready to get the bill our waitress, who had been so attentive, disappeared. The cashier had to get another waitress to ring us up. All in all I suggest if you want a nice breakfast in clean surroundings, keep driving past Lupton’s.

Food was ok it wasn’t a 5 star meal but for the price all you can eat why not. So why only2 stars you ask, well the first off silverware didn’t look so clean and when I saw a roach climbing on the buffet line it killed my vibe

Why 3 stars? Because it felt like a typical hole-in-the-wall buffet. — — — This is probably a place I normally wouldn’t attend, but after reading some strong Unilocal reviews, I decided to check it out. Buffets seem to have a ceiling of a «3-star experience» and this was no exception. Yes, I was able to try a lot of food on small budget, but none of it was particularly good and some of it had me slightly worried I would have regrets later. It seems like a place worth rooting for, but I don’t know that I’ll be back soon.
