the food used to be hit or miss but recently, it’s more of a miss. I wouldn’t mind so much if the service was good but everything takes forever to get to the table.

Set a reservation for Mother’s Day for 12 people. Food was tastey! Great spot for family. Service was alright a little scattered but being a holiday it’s understandable and everything made it to the table. Will definitely consider returning another day. Parking was on the street but surprisingly easy to find.

I really enjoyed this place. I ate the chopped salad, wowza it was delicious and my friend had the quinoa salad(I think that is what it was called). Super flavorful and fresh. Service was very good and the atmosphere was nice. The window seat was freezing for me, but the place is cozy and inviting. I would go back again for sure.

Wonderful place ! The food is great, drinks are amazing Coffee/espresso is amazing! If you leave around this area there’s not a lot of good paces like that . Great for a nice romantic dinner(no alcohol !!) Or just a place to take your kids for a breakfast. Fantastic place !

Randomly popped into this place with a couple of friends. The restaurant itself was clean, we were seated quickly, the servers were friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. I don’t know why I chose to play it safe(I never do that) & ordered a chicken Caesar wrap. I was not a fan. It didn’t taste like a chicken Cesar wrap at all. Now that I’m thinking about it I should have checked to see if it was a tuna wrap because that’s what I tasted. Anyways… The meal was saved by the fries. I’m a sucker for fries and their fries were on point. Also liked that they applied my «$ 5 off» Unilocal coupon for checking in. I would like to come back here again and try something else because I feel like I just made a bad choice.

This is a really cute restaurant with a vintage/pop vibe. The lunch and dinner menus are different. Their sweet potato fries and the turkey sandwich with cranberry aioli are quite delectable. The salads are amazing as well! The vegetables and meats are finely chopped which makes the salad comfortable to eat. Staff is incredible too!

It’s a shame we are ever unlikely to be back in Tenafly to enjoy this 5 star restaurant again. With quite reasonable prices, this French themed establishment has a menu and presentation worthy of places that often charge twice the price. We had the oven grilled shrimp(superb) which is done in an orange ginger sauce with fresh vegetables. The other wonderful entrée was hangar steak with truffle fries. Grilled medium rare, it was a beautiful cut of meat. Add in that it is a BYOB place, it helps manage your budget while maximizing your enjoyment. Our competent and attentive server made it that much better. Please go. You won’t be disappointed.

I just want to start by saying that the service here was excellent! The restaurant’s overall ambiance, I thought was very elegant with a touch of vintage. The other day, I stopped by for a quick bite with a girl friend and I was somewhat disappointed, particularly with their Onion Soup Grantinee. The consistency of the soup was way too thick, it was almost like an onion dip rather than a soup which completely threw me off. I also thought the flavor of soup was way too sweet for my liking. Some people may like their onion soup that way but it was just not for me. On the flip side, their complimentary bread and side dips(hummus, olive oil with pepper flakes & beets) were a nice starter. My girl friend and I also shared the Goat Cheese & Caramelized Onion Tart and the sweet potato fries which were okay.

There are some mornings where I just wake up craving an amazing/insane breakfast. Brasserie Breakfast is the best! Comes with 2 eggs, chopped salad with tomato, cucumber, and onion, and cream cheese. I like to take the bread they give you when you walk in and spread the cream cheese on it while adding some of the salad. It tastes amazing! Their coffee and orange juice is great. The service is prompt and attentive. Smiling faces. Would go back here a million times.

Love the atmosphere. Its a great spot to go to for brunch/lunch but also a great spot for dessert and coffee! The last time i was here, i went with a friend and had the lava cake and coffee. We sat by the window on a rainy day and it felt really private. The coffee is really good but can be strong. For those who like strong coffee its just right. They offer soymilk which isnt always an option at other cafes/restaurants. The lava cake was moist and came with whipped cream and ice cream. Ive also tried the sandwiches which are really hood as well. The french toast is really big and comes with various fruits. The staff were friendly and attentive. The manager was helping the wait staff i think. He was super friendly and smiley as well. We also didnt feel rushed which was great. Definately coming back soon!

Ordered lunch to go from this place today. For about $ 13 I got a chicken sandwich with some greens on the side and french fries. Over all the food was delicious, not sure what people are complaining about here. The greens could use some dressing or lemon on them. The fries were just amazing. It all came in a nice sturdy container with some forks and napkins. The staff was really pleasant and even offered to deliver my food. Looking forward to dining in one day.

Noisy environment and pricey for a storefront restaurant in a sleepy suburban town. The sweet potato fries are among the best I’ve experienced. The silver dollar sized crab cake(singular), and the pear and walnut salad are also very tasty.

This is a lovely place, just a little cliquey as some people must come there almost every day. The food isn’t too expensive and everything is pretty delicious. I just wish they had one more vegetarian option on their menu.

We went there for brunch. Food was great. Service needs to be improved. Had ask 4 times to get a cup of coffee. Wait staffs do not pay attention.

I honestly was not phased by this place. The food is not good. Breakfast was greasy. Gag. And the atmosphere is very blah. I don’t think they realize that they are not in NYC with these prices. I get its Tenafly but… no. Work on your food quality and then we’ll see if it’s worth the quantity.

Sorry, just came from here and this place is not good at all! . The coffee tasted like it was not fresh. My wife ordered a mushroom and onion omlet, the mushrooms were canned, no onions and a the omlet was weak!. I ordered a swiss mushroom omelet, came with next to no cheese and I sent it back for cheese to be added. the bread was good. Would you believe when I first complained the kitchen offered to bring me cold swiss cheese on the side! The servers are young but OKHOWEVER with tip our bill was $ 33 which was absurd for what we got. We have not been back here in a long time and now I know why! !

It’s a cute little café kind of similar to Café Angelique next door. I ordered the breakfast crêpe since it sounded interesting. It was interesting indeed. Why would anyone stuff a chunk of scrambled eggs and a slice of ham in a crêpe? My crêpe was dry and bland. When I cut into it, the eggs and ham sloppily slid out. My eggs were also bland and had a grayish tint as I further cut into them. Overall not happy with my order. However, my friend ordered a croque Monsieur, and it looked pretty good.

I feel like the dishes are lacking some oomph here as well as the service, but it’s a-okay in my book. Service is average. Their intention is good, but their attention is elsewhere a lot of the time. I’ve had to flag down a server a few times, unfortunately. The overall ambiance is nice, and I quite enjoy it. Big glass windows, higher-than-average ceilings, and the French bistro appeal is definitely there. Too bad their food isn’t amazing. Chocolate Croissant… Average/below average. Granted, I had this in the late afternoon, so it might’ve not been as fresh if, say, I had gotten this in the morning. Nonetheless, when I purchase a baked good, especially a croissant from a French place, I expect it to be fluffy and flaky. This was more on the stiff side, and the chocolate inside was on the hard side as well. Steak Frites… Total letdown. The demi glacé was NOT good. Demi glacé should enhance the flavor of meats, not ruin it. This ruined it. Although, the hanger steak itself was tough. And the pommes frites were just okay. I don’t recommend this Chicken Schnitzel… Average/good enough, but could have been better with more seasoning. I added salt, and it was good enough. Some of the asparagus was too charred for me, but the flavor was good. Again, the pommes frites were just okay. Half Roasted Chicken… Good. Well seasoned, well cooked, perfect portion. The mashed potatoes and veggies were okay, too. Fried Mini Donuts… WINNER! They are cooked fresh because everytime I’ve had them, they arrive so warm! The presentation for this dessert is very nice, arriving in a coiled metal thing that spirals to shape like a cone, paper inside(to catch the oil), and it’s filled to the very top. This portion is huge and a very good value. Also comes with two dipping sauces: chocolate and some berry sauce(possibly raspberry). Although most of the food items I’ve tried are just okay, the Mini Donuts are enough to keep me coming back. Hopefully, I’ll eventually find a savory dish worth ordering again.

Wow, no one has Unilocaled about this restaurant yet? Unbelievable!!! Delicious crêpe and steak salad! I’ll definitely go back! I recently found this cute brasserie in Tenafly and I was impressed with the reasonably priced menu. Most of the entrees are around $ 12 – 16, consisting typical casual brasserie food like croque monsieur, onion soup, steak frites, etc. The ambiance is European, casual, and cozy. Around this neighborhood, this is probably one of the nicer restaurants with outdoor seating. However, I must warn you that this place tends to attract lots of Tenafly moms with loud kids. I highly recommend their sweet crepes, so good!!! Unfortunately the coffee was a «meh». Overall this place is a great find, it’s a kind of place you are very likely to become a regular because it’s affordable, cute, and delicious. Check it out if you are in Tenafly!
