its pretty good. excellent prime veal. good marsala veal and chicken. extensive affordable wine list. Great specials. maybe its ½ notch below the best north end restaurants.

Love this place, we live about 3 miles from here and were delighted when it opened that not only was it close, but fantastic. We have been here many, many times and have never been disappointed with the food or the waitstaff. You must make reservations if you plan to go in there before 8PM, after 8 it really clears out but before then it is a mob scene. If I had any negatives, I would say the acoustics. It is LOUD and in the new(huge) room they added on, it is awful, almost impossible to talk to the people you are with. I wish they had made a bigger ladies room in the new room as well — it can be a very long wait to get in there! Love, love Al Fresca’s as do all our friends that we have brought there with us over the last two years.

This was our second visit to Fusion. Since our first time, they upgraded their coffee, the service was great, and the food was still excellent. Just became my new favorite breakfast restaurant.

Can get busy at times but absolutely worth the wait. Great food and great service. I’ve been there over a dozen times and we have always had great food. Try the Seafood LaBella, incredible!

I eat out a lot and I’m very picky about food and service. I have to tell you this place is AWESOME!!! I’ve eaten in the north end of Boston many times, and the quality of the food here is far better and less expensive. Everything is fresh and Delicious! Their red sauce is perfect! The waitresses remember you and always very friendly. They fill up fast on the weekends, so make sure you call ahead to make a reservation.

What a great spot in Tewksbury. It was jam packed when we went on a Saturday night — I’m glad we had made a reservation. The food was great — my wife and I shared the bruschetta and the antipasto platter before our entrees. My wife ordered the Chicken and Sausage Al Forno and I ordered the Seafood La Bella. My one critique would be that too much plum tomato sauce tends to drown out the other flavors within the dish… I would suggest that Al Fresca hire some more waitstaff for the busy nights. Our waitress was great and was very polite, but there were stretches where we didn’t see her for 15 – 20 minutes at a time. If that’s the worst part about this place, then they’re doing pretty well. We will definitely go again.

Seriously yummy! We especially love the meatballs. We’ve been in to eat sitting at a hightop table near the bar the service was wonderful and food delicious. We have also gotten take out for us and our kids everything was just as good as when went into the restaurant.

I love to travel. Being able to eat different foods. My pallet can’t seem to get enough. The food was amazing not to mention the staff. I totally recommend this place. You’ll fall in love.

Excellent selection for everybody, portions were great and fare was fresh and delicious. Atmosphere could be improved but very comfortable. Would definitely return and recommend this to all.

I rarely review places, but our recent experience here compelled me to write one! We were picking up a gift certificate for our realtor, since we are closing on a house 3 miles away in Wilmington in just a few days. Rather than just pick up the gift card, we figured we’d grab lunch. It was AMAZING. The BBQ Steak Tips were juicy, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Chicken Parm was generously portioned and flavorful. The wine was fairly priced and the hostess and server were so nice. I said we will become ‘power regulars’ now that we are so close, and I meant it. Thank you! What a great place! — Jimmy & Claire

So we decided to try takeout. Little did we know, Al Fresca’s was SUPER busy *and* understaffed. We ordered by phone with a few custom tweaks(subbing pasta with vegetables and a different sauce for another dish) and were told there’d be a 30 – 40 minute wait. After 40 minutes, we drove down and were informed we had a bit longer to wait. «A bit longer» spiraled into an additional 45 minutes. The hostess came out and apologized, telling us they were understaffed and the head chef was out, causing everything to back up. We were given two free desserts for waiting and they were very apologetic. I’ve worked in food service before, and I know it can be really frustrating when you have no control over the speed of the service from behind the counter. I really appreciated them being so upfront(and the free desserts did help… we were SOHUNGRY at that point!) — but above all the transparency and honesty was most appreciated.

Entry: Upon entering they asked if we had a reservation, after we said no it felt like they were doing is a favor by giving us a table. Atmosphere: Dim lighting, I suspect to his is to hide the stains on the cheap white table cloths. Also the silverware is super cheap, like dollar store kind. Wait: Initial interaction wasn’t bad but it took over an hour and ten minutes to get our food. Staff: Waitress was pleasant but seemed over worked and beyond busy. It took a long time to get a refill and she missed my empty glass twice when she stopped by. Food: We ordered Chicken Parm and Eggplant Parm. Penne tasted microwave heated. Sauce didn’t stick to the pasta and just slid off. Chicken Parm was very bland. My ice tea had more flavor profile. It was mostly soggy right out of the gate as well. Eggplant was also over loaded with cheese, eggplant was very thin and was definitely taking a back row seat to the cheese and breading. In addition to the poor experience we had we are now both ill, I can only assume it was from the food. We left most of our meal unconsumed and will not be returning. If you are looking for Italian, keep looking.

Tried Al Fresca again recently. Service was awful, the food was average and the prices are much higher than they should be. This is your typical mismanaged, blue-hair townie restaurant. Will not return.

A great change of pace to the otherwise bland offerings in Tewksbury. I ordered the Carbonara and it was delicious. Other favorites at the table include the eggplant appetizer, but keep in mind that if you don’t enjoy red sauce this may not be the appetizer for you.

Their bruschetta is fresh, delicious, and addictive. Buffalo Chicken Ceaser Salad is great as well. Their sauce is a sweet/tangy type of buffalo sauce, great for the salad. I usually order once or twice a week for takeout. Their bar seems hopping during the weekend, and I might have to sit down and marvel at the selection one of these times. Highly recommended for authentic Italian.

Let me start out by saying our food was good. Just a couple of minor complaints. I asked if I could switch out my linguini for angel hair pasta. I was told there was a $ 2.00 up charge. You’re kidding right? What is the cost difference between the two. Zero or next to nothing. A money grab if you ask me. And our server Mary acted if she was doing us favor for sitting in her section. As we are leaving she looked right at us and not even a nod. And yes we tipped well over the 15% minimum. I will not be returning. like I said the food was good, just the little things that left a bad taste in my mouth. We have plenty of Italian restaurants in Tewksbury, so it’s no skin off our noses.

We love it here. Food is always delicious and the menu selection is great. The staff is always VERY friendly and knowledgeable as well, which is a plus. You likely need to make a reservation as a heads up though. We have never been able to do a walk in. I hope in time the ambiance is tweaked a bit(could use some updating– new tables and chairs specifically) but at the end of the day, we are going for quality food and we always find that here at Al Fresca.
