I went here disregarding the bad Unilocal reviews on a recommendation from a friend. Let me say the service, quality of food, price and management of this restaurant is very good. Don’t believe everything you read… try this place. we’re going back to try another entrée… their clam chowder is 10x better than Brown’s/Markey’s at the beach.
We did not go to the lounge area.

Mavericks is not very fancy but the food is very good (chic parm sandwich my favorite) .the bar is always fun for a few beers, dinning room not best atmosphere but unless it’s my anniversary who cares. P. S. Get the onion rings

Good place to come for a beer and a game of pool. There are also lots of TVs to watch. I had food here for the first time the other day and it wasn’t bad at all! I got the appetizer sampler. The potato skins mozzarella sticks and the buffalo tenders were all good. Overall mavs is nothing spectacular just a fun divey bar! It does have a dining room but I’ve never been in there.

Call me cray-​cray but I love ‘Mavs’. Don’t let the drab interior and exterior fool you, the food it delicious. The chicken wings are phenomenal and the seafood is fresh. The bartenders aren’t rude, their sassy and I love it.

Mavericks has been the site of many epic nights with my friends and other assorted townies. From weekly karaōke to watching sports games or playing darts and pool this bar has it all and more. The crowd is always down to party, the bartenders are fun and attentive and the drink selection is superb. My best friend and I had dubbed Mavs our bar!

It would be fine if the staff wasn’t so awful. Stopped in here for a couple of drinks the other night with two of my friends. The bartender was so rude she didn’t even say hello, just said «whadya want» and barely even looked up at us.
I guess if you are a regular you get attention at this place but the service was so terrible I don’t ever plan on going back.
Apparently the food is good in the separate restaurant part, I would consider giving that a try but this bar will never see me again.

Place is a good time. Bartenders attentive and the drinks are well done. The food isn’t half bad either. they have pool tables and darts. Overall I am a Fan
