I was being harassed by a person on an Internet dating site and I contacted Rob Budryk, of RCB Associates, to help me find out who it was. He was pretty sure it was my ex girlfriend. There was motive and reason for this to be the case. He asked me questions and assumed with limited information it was her. I was swayed by his rationale and he made a plan to confront her by driving down to see her.
Well, she wasn’t home and he called her and she didn’t answer. So he texted her and she denied any involvement. But he told me he was positive it was her. I asked her how did he know? «Just a feeling we investigators get. We’ve been doing this for 15 – 20 years ya know.»
It made sense. But she still denied it. But after he did his «investigation» he was all about payment. Borderline threatening me about getting his money. I asked a few questions about how he came to his conclusions, and when questioned, he became less confident about his conclusions and instead of being absolutely sure, he was «pretty» sure. He said if I kept getting emails or correspondence from her, then to contact him for additional follow up. I paid him his $ 375 and expected to not hear from «her» again.
Well, I didn’t get any phony internet dating messages from that person for a long time afterwards, it was March 18^th, 2015-​July 23^rd 2015 where I had no harassment, however, I did receive unsolicited emails from my ex, 2 of them. She was basically telling me what a jerk I was blah blah blah. In no uncertain terms, I told her I did not want to be contacted by her again and if she did, I would get authorities involved. I cc’ed my private investigator just in case it went to court and I had to follow through with police and/​or court involvement. My private investigator, Rob Budryk, did not respond to any of it, wanting to be kept out it… which is understandable.
However, I started to get Internet dating profile harassment again and contacted Rob Budryk again, to want to discuss it. I emailed him, called him, texted him him over the course of 2 days trying to follow up. His website says he is available 24/7…but that wasn’t true in my case. Only when I pressed him via 2 phone calls (voicemails) and multiple texts with a reminder of what it said on his website («We have achieved successful results for our clients in every area ventured. We will do whatever is legally necessary to accomplish our client’s goals. Mission Statement The satisfaction of our clients is the cornerstone of our business. He stated that he didn’t want to deal with my «case» anymore because he thought there were «serious» issues between my ex and I and «I didn’t want to get involved» (he didn’t even read the emails when I asked him about it). Ya, no shit Rob… and that’s why I hired you… and that’s why you accepted my money. But when the going got tough, which inevitably HAPPENS in your line of work, you cut and run. You accept someone ones money for services rendered as a PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR and by the nature of the job, you ARE involved. Otherwise you are shirking your professional responsibilities.
Do not hire this P. I…you will be dissatisfied.
