History

Established in 1913.

Guaranty Bank & Trust opened its doors for business in Texas on January 13, 1913. The bank has grown and prospered over the years by continually meeting the financial needs of all the communities it serves. Being one of the oldest and most respected regional community banks in Texas, Guaranty Bank & Trust has built a reputation of conservative soundness that has served it well. Throughout the years our bank has enjoyed a high quality of leadership and staff.

In 1992 we began expanding to other markets throughout Texas. Guaranty Bank & Trust currently has 25 bank locations in 18 Texas communities. These expansions have given us the opportunity to learn a great deal about our neighboring communities.

Meet the Manager

Robert I.

Manager

Robert Irwin earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University and also graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU. He has 25 years of banking and lending experience. Robert joined Guaranty Bank & Trust in 2001, serving as the President of the Texarkana Market since 2009. He has a passion for community banking in Bowie County where he is a community leader in economic development, civic organizations, and his church.
