Meet the Business Owner
Linda E.
Business Owner
Linda Ellis, Ph.D., has been a Texas educator for thirty years as a classroom teacher, university professor, district program director, and consultant. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Education in Reading from Sam Houston State University and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University and holds certifications in business and English 6 – 12 and Reading Specialist K-12. Linda has taught literacy courses and coordinated university/school partnerships at Stephen F. Austin State University, University of Houston, Sam Houston State University, and University of St. Thomas. She has served as President of local and state literacy councils including Texas Association for the Improvement of Reading. Linda has authored and co-authored numerous books and articles for teachers, including Getting Started: The Reading-Writing Workshop, Grades 4 – 8 (Heinemann, 2007) and has presented at local, state, national and international conferences.
